Thanks BB. Right now we're waiting to see whether the problem is shoulder or back. If the steroids work, it's shoulder. If they don't, it's back. Should have an answer soon, regardless.

But right now what sucks most is the site of the injections. Good Cod I forgot how much I detest IM injections.

*shudder*

Good luck, K.

Maybe it's writer's shoulder?

I got a morphine shot in my butt the other day and it hurt fall the way up until this afternoon!! :(

As it turns out, white wine works wonders as a painkiller. ;)

(But L also made me a sling to take the weight off).

*shudder*

Good luck, K.

LOL. Thanks DGE. Actually, one of the reasons I finally dragged my ass to the doctor was that the act of writing at my laptop became an act of self-torture. Cowboy'd up as long as I could...which was too long. Idiot.

So, really, you had writer's blockhead. ;)

I am so evil. For mums birthday I am going to give her tickets to come on holiday with me to Melbourne.

Usually when I give mum vouchers (or plane tickets) to do something that makes her threaten to write me out of her will but on the plus side I have made her do things she would never ordinarily have done like hang gliding, aerobatic tiger moth flights, para sailing, white and black water rafting, bungee jumping, sky diving and the one she really hated less in flying a glider among alot of other fun things.

This time though I will let her think she is going to do something silly over there and instead will put myself through a fate worse than having needles stuck in my eyeballs....shopping, a whole week of it.

I'm detecting an interesting mix of sadism and masochism.

I went for a doctor's appointment today that I should have gone to in March.

I am a dumbass.

The word "surgery" was used. I hope it doesn't come to that...but, if it does, I am happy that I live in a part of the world with (mostly) free, good quality medical care.

Today there were needles. Injections of steroids in my shoulder. I will keep fingers and toes crossed that nothing more is required and that I am back whacking balls on the court soon.

You have my sympathies! I just had my shoulder operated this summer. It's looking pretty good already, but I know it'll be a gruelling job to rehabilitate and keep it in line for the long run. It was the second time it was operated, too, and chances are there will be third at some point, but for now it's really looking good. But I really hope you won't have to get yours operated, it's never nice to be sliced up in any way.

And my blurt:

I bought plane tickets. It's official now, I'll be leaving in the end of September and coming back in February. Yay! (And to tie this with K's shoulder thing: I need to find a place to do PT where I'll be staying.)

Thanks Keroin. :( It's been over 15 years since I had one and I was happy forgetting how much they hurt. I'm currently getting physio on my shoulder hoping to avoid those corticosteroid injections (that the physiotherapist said on my first visit, if one of the sports doctors saw me, I would automatically get one.)

Wow. Just felt my first earthquake all the way up here on Long Island, NY.

6.0 earthquake in Virgina I felt all the way up here.

Damn.

My friend on Long Island just posted the same on thing on Facebook.

It was weird. I'm sitting in a wooden chair and the chair started getting all wobbly and I was thinking, 'WTF? Is this chair going to collapse or something?' I had no clue what was going on.

I've never felt anything like that before.

Thanks everyone for the welll wishes/happy thoughts/prayer, Grandpa is looking better. It really has been a surprize the last 24 hours. Mom and I were preparing to just let go, and last night was a really rough night, but today the critentine counts are steady (still way high, but not going up) and he's producing a lot more closer to normal unirne amount. So it doesn't look like dialysis will be needed, which is good because we weren't sure he'd survive the treatment.

Creatinine :) And that's good. Creatinine is not a good thing to have high amounts of. It's amazing what fluids alone will do to save a kidney! It's good he doesn't have to do dialysis. I've heard it's very unpleasant to have to do, particularly regularly.

Blurt: I'm doing much better now. Ovary is still a little angry, but I mostly just have muscle soreness now. That's much easier to deal with!

A. said she didn't feel it, but only heard it. She lives with her aunt, who called her and told her that it was bad enough at the place where she works that they evacuated the building.

Crazy!

I'm glad things are going better, Wenchie. I shall be continuing the thoughts and prayers, anyway. :rose:

Yeah, that's it. I'm feeling much too lazy for spell check.

Now we just need to get the bladder spasms to stop and he might be good as, well his usual grumpy self. He has an infection in the blood stream which caused the problem. The fact that everything is leveling off is a very good sign that things are heading in the right direction.

I'm glad you're feeling better too.

Thanks, we need them. This is when he starts getting difficult. He gets to feeling just good enough that he wants to go home, but he's not well enough for release. He's hard to deal with at that stage. I'm so exhausted (physically and emotionally) I cry most of the time I'm not there. Of course I do have other issues I'm dealing with on top of this that have been put on the back burner to simmer until he's well enough that I can focas on fixing those again.

Mainly, I'm taking care of mom. She's my grandparents care giver really, but she goes very under apreciated by the family. She's had two back surgeries so can't do everything they want her to do like they want her to do it, but she's the only one that steps up and does what needs to be done. My grandma is diabetic, so every one thinks to keep her fed and what not, but my mom hasn't worked in 3 years and hasn't had an income for over a year, so she can't aford to eat at the hospital every day. I brought her lots of food she can pop in the microwave at the nurse's station, and snacks, so at least I know she's eating. She'll crash once he gets home (well settled in the nursing home), and I have to be strong until she's had her crash, or we'll both fall apart.

Ahhh yah that'll do it. Creatinine isn't even in the spell check dictionary on browsers, so don't worrry 'bout it :p

*bow* you are a saint, madam.

I am really not a fan of being sliced. I will keep my fingers crossed for your shoulder! :rose:

You're welcome. Anytime! :D

Good luck to you, as well, WW.:rose:

I don't know if I'm just sensitive or what but IM injections just kick the pants off me. Last night L ended up making a sling for me because any weight on my shoulder was excruciating. Today was better - good thing, since we started on a new job...a 350 foot fence. Blerg.

Is there anything else as good as a curry that makes your entire body lust at the smell of it, delight at the sight of it piled into your bowl, and then when you finally get to eat you sweat the entire time because it is that perfect balance of hot and spicy goodness?! Mmmmm... I  Curry, I do I DO!

Well, now I know what I'm making for dinner... :D

My blurt: I get the feeling that one of my neighbour's friends hit my mailbox with their car. I guess when you have parties like they do that leads to cars lining up all the way down the street it was only a matter of time, but now there's a huge crack in the brickwork and the wall it's attached to. I liked that mailbox, it looked nice. :(

MMMmmm thank you Daddy J for the drive last night.
Steamy hot kisses and driving too fast on dark windy roads while I sucked your cock and you spanked my ass was just what lil girl needed to relieve some stress. I adore you.

The word of the week is abditive.

I don't remember ever hearing or seeing the word in my life before. Now it has come up on 3 separate occasions this week. At least I probably will never have to google the word again, its meaning is pretty well seared into my brain.

One of these days I'll start learning phrasal verbs and prepositions.
