When he's done with me, I am a different person, like he shapes me. It feels soooooo good to be in his hands.

I'm doing loungeroom yoga to break in my new SIZE 18 jeans

I've lost about 5 sizes so far the last 12 - 14 months. Hooray!

Good for you.

A stupid question. What exactly are meat substitutes? Tofu? Are veggie patties in hamburgers a meat substitute? I know someone who won't eat frigging eggplant, because reminds her of meat too much. That I find incredibly weird.

And I've never understood, why tofu should be treated as a meat substitute. Sure, meat can be substituted with it, but still... It's not used only to replace meat in dishes, there is a whole range of tofu dishes that have nothing to do with meat.

I hate cube steak. True meat eaters wouldn't eat glorified tofu substitutes.

Off until Labor day, anyone want to adopt me?

Me me me me me! Everyone's back to work and I have absolutely nothing to do during the days. I'm so bored!

Come, wenchie, come, I'll make you cookies. Among other things.
(What do you mean it's too far... I'm only half a globe from the States!)

At this point, half a globe is what I think I need. Just some where so new and/or different that I can be in another world for a while.

I'm under orders (from Moma) to do something fun, and something for me today. Breakfast and a walk first I think.

Seriously, though, a little change of scenery and breaking out of routines is really good for everyone every now and again. I've noticed it especially this summer, that I've been unemployed and then had my shoulder operated, which has pretty much meant I'm not able to do many things I'd like to. I've been going out of my mind quite regularly.

Soon, I'm leaving to another country for almost 5 months. I suppose that's enough of a change for a while for me. :)

There are some days in your life you'll never forget, and that was definitely one of them.

Hopefully it's a good memory! :rose:

For me, it was a repeated appreciation of my body, and finally realising that he was sincere. Negative body image is a bitch of a thing to overcome, but it can be. Sometimes we just need some external validation ebfore we can start believing it ourselves.

This was my trouble/solution at one point in my life. Now after 6 years of being told how beautiful I am, I'm so shocked at how I look in a picture that I litterally don't believe it's me!

Working on having a date with a gay guy to go to a gay bar tonight.

Chances of getting lucky=slim to nill unless I widen my horrison
Chances of getting shit face drunk= high
Chances of laughing my ass off and forgetting the past few weeks= off the charts

"Priceless"!
:D

Good Cod...

What is with this new breed of parents whose life revolves around their child/children and who also believe the rest of universe should do likewise.

News alert: You are the one in charge, not the two year old who's just barely learned to wipe their own ass.

/Yeesh.

arrrrgh I have to pull at least 30 hours in a week and right now I only have 15 confirmed and 4 pending and trying to schmooze my way into 6 more. Even if I get ALL THAT, it's only 25. and those other 6 aren't guaranteed. sooooo I may have to work 15 hours of the other job a week and I DON'T WANT TO because I hate it so much. what am I gonna doooooo.

Just had a talk with my own daughter about this, when I found out she was letting my 16 month old granddaughter control dinner hour. Letting her decide what she wanted to eat. When I asked why, I was told because she got upset if she didn't! So what? Better upset now, then spoiled later.

And, more importantly, upset now rather than UNHEALTHY later.

Guys, is it alright if I take notes? I feel like I can control my kid's behaviour now so long as they're in the womb, like "oh yeah, you wanna do something different? Well, fine, but you in the womb, you've got no choice!" but once they're, y'know, alive that's probably going to change. :D

I've never been good at standing up to strong women and if my girls take after their mother- and for god's sake why would they want to take after me- they'll be the strongest women I know. ;)

Here's the deal: No means no. Wanna cry? Go ahead, knock yourself out. No will still be no. You start that from day one and you'll be thankful you did. (As will every other adult who has to deal with your children).

Also, "no" does not have to come with a long-winded explanation. Or any explanation. You. Are.The.Boss. End of story.

What parents fail to realize is they do their kids no favours by catering to them and giving in. Sure it sucks to see your child disappointed or upset but guess what? Life is full of not getting your way, not getting what you want, being disappointed, etc. And a big part of a parent's job is preparing their kids for adulthood.

I've seen enough of this bullshit sense of entitlement among Generation Me, thankyouverymuch.
