Surgery was successful The trip, on the other hand (370 miles round trip over a 17.5 hour period, with lots of waiting in between), was a rpita. Now all we have to survive is the period where it's "toe-touch only" in a hard cast, then a walking cast and/or CAM (?) cast, then PT. Fun. Oh, yeah, and at least two "review" visits back to the surgeon (@ another 370 miles each time). Thank gawd/ess my Scion gets ~35 mpg...

I cut my hair. A lot. I was hot, annoyed with the kids, and cranky. I think it looks pretty good, though. I had her layer it, and it's about shoulder length now, so it looks curlier than ever. And I can still put it in a ponytail, although barely.

A couple years ago I lopped off most of my hair to donate. We took about 14 in off, and that put the cut about two inches below the tops of my shoulders...I have rather curly hair as well, so we knew it'd boing up...it came almost to my ears!!! I almost cried, not because it looked bad but...you know...14 in of hair!!! and it was SO SHORT. worth it, though. because now I can think about some little girl going through chemo playing on the playgroud with her wig full of curls :]

Still. I couldn't even ponytail it!! XD

I usually cut my hair about the time it hits my hips (about once a year). That's normally about once a year. Normally that's only about 10 to 12 inches, but I can't donate mine because I have them bleach streaks in it, and they can't take bleached hair.

However, I told the lady doing my hair that it ALL had to be long enough to put in a ponytail because I do not have time to deal with my hair in the mornings. So I can get it in a ponytail. Barely. lol

How could I have missed this? I want to see it! I cut my hair from waist to shoulders about 9 years ago, and now wear it in a short pixie. I love haircut stories!

So rumor around the water cooler is that when I get back from vacation I'm being transferred to another store.

I really should be excited about this. The store is closer to me, and it means I won't be trying to hold things together between an inexperienced GM and an inexperienced Assistant. But it probably means they are sweeping me under the rug to forget about me as well.

All I can say is, I really hope I get that marketing job. I'm just not banking on it.
