So happy

I really didn't expect he would be willing to experiment with me but this afternoon was the best ever. There might be more dom lurking there than I thought. I hope it's genuine. Taking it slow, I think, is the key.

That's EXACTLY how I feel about my guy, too...but we are speeding things up just a touch tonight. :D

Has anyone ever used the Y-Bullet USB vibrator? I am so sick and tired of going through batteries, but I don't want to pay a whole bunch for a new vibrator either. But I still don't want to waste my money on something that doesn't work well. I haven't been able to find any people who've reviewed it, so I was wondering if anyone here had tried one?

I just realized that I'm perimenopausal. I had a hyst years ago so I didn't get the obvious clue. But shit..I have been hysterically crying almost constantly for the past few weeks. I thought it was the fact my Dominant had accepted another female(friend? not submissive yet, not sure what to call her)

But when I started crying at work last night over something really stupid it finally hit me, Duh! this feels just like when I was on Lupron for endometriosis years and years ago.

Now I am really depressed. I never worried about getting old before,,but this? I don't know why I was under the illusion that my ovaries were special and would last forever.

I am so terrified I will lose the sexy kinky always-positive person I am.

:(

I'm about to have 3 of my favourite people in same room, can you blame me for being excited?

I'm dealing with a lot of these feelings right now. I'm so moody I hate myself. And I don't seem able to handle my own shit like I usually can which has cause a huge bump in my road.

I hate it. And what I hate even worse is that I know what they do to "fix" it is more hormones. So I could get worse before getting better and that scares the crap out of me. :(

Officially decided on my old horse's new home. It isn't upsetting me yet, but all we need to do is sign the papers and move him. This is going to be so hard.

*dances about*

I've picked the prettiest dress for our Christmas party this year, and the shop just called to say they've found the smaller sizes for me to go try on next weekend so I can laybuy it.

Hooray!

The next door neighbors are having a quenceanera party. That's been going full tilt since about 6pm. (It's 11:30.) With a DJ. And HUGE speakers. And traditional Mexican [polka] music.

Ooomm papa! Oomm papa! Oomm papa!
Spanish lyrics I don't understand...
Tuba! Tuba! Tuba!
Spanich lyrics I don't understand...
Horn! Horn! Horn!

My head hurts. The part of me that recognizes the cultural tradition of it all is totally cool with it (you only celebrate becoming a woman once)... but dear.god. Mexican music makes my head hurt.

After living in San Jose, CA for 5 years I have learned that NO ONE parties like the Mexicans. Did you see the dresses? Their dresses for quinceaneras always "amused" me the most...

I...actually have a special fondness for mexican music. Th facility where I grew up riding horses had all mexican farm hands and they used to listen to it. So whenever I hear it, it reminds me of all those memories.

I'm guessing the party went well past 11:30? In Mexico, that's usually when the party starts. I remember showing up for a New Year's Eve party at 10:30 and there were only five other people there. Guests didn't start turning up until about an hour later! And when I was ready to pack it in, they were just getting rolling. Apparently, this was not unusual at all.

Nope; no dress. This was a low key family backyard BBQ/loud music kind of celebration.

The shopping center where I work is very popular for quinceanera courts to take their commemorative pictures (it's kind of a fashion/art/photography mecca kind of place)... so some days I walk into work and on the way see a girl celebrating her quinceanera in high style , with a full court of 10 princes (in tuxes) and 10 princesses (bridesmaid dresses have nothin' on quince princess dresses) standing around looking awkward as hell.

I really ought to be more on board for the tradition (the children are 1/4 Hispanic, and I do have two daughters - one turning 15 in November)... but I just.can't.do it.

I can handle it in small doses; I kinda like Mariachi music... in small doses.

I think things shut down around 1am. I gave up, closed the windows, turned on the A/C, had a glass of wine and went to bed around midnight. LOL

Well, it shouldn't be perimenopause for me, but I am in the same irrationally moody state .... and hate it ... near tears almost 24/7 the past week.

Wow. Just wow.

Poverty isn't just a game...

You’ve lost your job. You’ve lost your house. You’re down to your last $1,000. Can you make it through the month?

Jenny Nicholson is tired of hearing how the poor are poor because they make poor choices. Let’s see what kind of choices you make when it’s your turn to be flattened by the economy.

That’s the idea behind Spent, an online game Nicholson created to challenge popular misconceptions about poverty. Play it at playspent.org.

There's a lot more background in the story (first link).

I ended up with a bit over $500 at the end of the month... but $700 rent due the next day.

$387 at the end of the month with rent due the next day.

I finished with ALMOST 700 left...which was still about 60 dollars short of rent.

I had enough for my rent until the last day of the month when my damn mother decided she couldn't pay for her own $100 medication.

Even in hypothetical situations, I'm easily guilted into doing what other people want me to do. It may pathological....
