Hmmm...seems to me that true red and the fuchsia you linked to have different color values and it's hard for me to see how they would both look good on the same person. If you look good in a true red, then the bluish tinge of a fuchsia would make your skin look sallow. Likewise, if your skin tones worked well with fuchsia, a true red would look too harsh on you.

It's in this second pic that your clothing makes your eyes sparkle. While the other image is better lit, this look works better imho.

The black dress actually has a skirt with pink in it, but you can't see it. My hair was black, then, too. It's quite a bit lighter now, but otherwise, I'm the same. Black dress pic also has me wearing a similar shade of fuchsia/pink lipstick that I'm thinking of now.

That being said, purple is my favorite color, so I'm with you. I like the second pic better.
