Say it ain't so, please! I beg you, tell me that you're kidding. This "revelation" of yours has me in a neurotic panic. How will I know what to do if I can't learn from Xhamster and thecrunchychicken.com?

this made me laugh so hard I fell off the bed: thank you

Sorry for the length of this post, but I have to agree with ruby_m_d. You guys may not *feel* as though you're contributing as much as you perhaps once did, but I still find a great deal of pleasure in reading your viewpoints - whether they're POVs with which I agree fully, partially or not at all - and thinking about what you have to say. And I must say, *that* perhaps is your greatest contribution, one for which you don't get thanked nearly enough, if at all: Giving other forum members something to think about.

I feel I don't contribute as much to the *serious* discussions nearly as much as I once did, but when there is a topic about which I feel strongly, or one about which I may have some specialized knowledge, I do try to put my $0.02 in as cogently as I can. I also still try to encourage folks to seek a better understanding of themselves - something at which a fair number of you - most definitely including Bunny, CM, FF, ITW, Stella, and a bunch of others - are really, really good.

Are there fewer serious discussions than there were when I first came on the scene way back in '04? Meh... perhaps. But then again, I've been here long enough - as have some of y'all - to know that the number of serious discussions, trolls, light-hearted fun threads, you name it, all fluctuate periodically. There have been times when even the Café was inundated with some pretty heavy thoughts, and times when Talk seemed to be floating on a sea of froth.

We've made it through all of those waves, and built a strange little pixelated sort of family here. We even have prodigals wander back in every once in a while, and it's good to "see" them here. Oh... come to think of it, *I* was one of those prodigals, through my own idiocy, and was welcomed back and remarkably happy to *be* back. Sometimes - especially shortly after the Christmas season and when schools let out for the summer and all the trolls and baby posters come out to play - I feel like maybe I don't fit in here any more in my ancient age (yes, that's a bourbon plug! {Even if it IS a bad bourbon, LOL!}), but most of the time, this is my online home...

"Home is the place where, when you have to go there, They have to take you in."

I'm so glad I was taken in when I first came here, when I came back, and each day that I drop in to post my froth. Pardon the sentimentality, but ...

I  you guys.

hear hear:rose:

I don't know if you all remember me posting about my family friend who was in a car accident, but he died today. I won't post his name, but he was 19 years old. He spent his whole life fighting diabetes, and he died in a car accident. His mother only has one other child, and he's in jail right now. We're very concerned for her mental health without her other son around to keep her attached to this world. :(

so sorry for your loss. Sending you virtual hugs and kisses and a backrub.

someone very close to me is dying slowly and not comfortably. When given the news recently that more surgery was necessary and that the surgery was extremely high risk with the very real possibility that they wouldn't survive but without they would definitely not survive their response was 'okay I really don't care'. But I care.I may have a smile on my face and let the world think its okay, but it's not okay. I care, I care I care:(

Hugs, friend. It's important and vital to care.

Losing a friend or relative is hard, and even harder, probably, at this time of year. My thoughts are with you, your friend, and the rest of his/her friends/relatives.

Well research has shown that animals are great for therapy *nod*

Take care...

Corporations aren't expected to keep their promises.

So no problem.

I like this idea. It's a good, sound business solution! Women would also be exempt from taxes, get massive subsidies, and collect politicians like Hummel figurines.

I want to be declared a corporation, too, and I don't even have a place for a fetus to gestate. Except my gym bag. Hmmm.

The online harem is making me LOL so hard right now. Did I just step into a virtual episode of Sister Wives? Or are they all the same person?

I think they're a group of 14-year-old boys, none of whom knows the others are *also* 14-year-old boys.
