So a friend of mine from work met Daddy J today...introduced to her as a close friend of mine.
She was panting in a matter of seconds and as soon as he walked away she was all over me for details about him.

I didn't give her any :cattail:

lol i AM such a lucky girl

I'm hoping that by tomorrow my legs will have healed up enough to go jog. Or at least walk a decent distance. They're alright going up hills and stairs at this point (if sore and easily tired), but the muscle pain is still pretty sharp going downwards. Stupid freakin' squats.

My shop? ;)

Find a chemise or lounging pajama set that has an Empire waist (or at least light elastic under the bust), slight A-line to the chemise (or pajama top). It should give you at least some bust support, but keep things swingly & comfy around the hips.

I love your vintage stuff but I tend to not do much sleeping in vintage. ;) Do you ever find any vintage nighties in cotton? I guess probably not.

I'll look for a chemise like that. Sounds perfect!

No, I meant "my shop" as in my day job. lol If I remember the part of the country you live in, I think they opened a store up that way last spring.

The descriptions I gave were current inventory, off the top of my head. We have an 'in house' cotton & lace chemise that als comes in a lounging set that is *awesome*, a silk/lace Empire waist chemise (seamed bust area/sliders on the shoulders) that will offer some shape/support up to a G cup, plus Carol Hochman, Donna Karen, & one other vendor I can't remember the name of had some super cute (w/ light support) designs out this season. :)

Advice I gave a dear friend moments ago, and thought perhaps I would share its [generic] worth with all of my friends here:

Take the love that comes to you today, embrace it for all it is worth, and return it threefold, tenfold, a hundredfold. Take the joy that comes to you today, embrace it for all it is worth, and return it. Take even the sorrows that come, for not all of life can be wondrously fine and happy and laughing, and embrace them for what they're worth...

And give tomorrow unto tomorrow, for we never know if it will come at all.

LOVE THIS! I am going to share this with a friend. She needs to stop dwelling on the "bad". I have been trying to come up with a way to tell her, but all that comes to mind is shaking her and tell her that the she should be thankful for all of the great things in her life.

I think your message is a much nicer way to get my point across. Thank you! :rose:

Tequila does terrible things to my intestines. As much as I appreciate the lack of headaches, I really don't like the fact that my hangovers take the form of intestinal turmoil and emotional instability either. -_-

I'm glad you like it. I guess even a cranky, snarky old man can come up with something nice *once* in a while. ;)

Well I tried Guerlain's "Shalimar" today, which, from online reviews, should have smelled like pure, animalic, in-heat, dripping wet sex, but to be honest it smells like old ladies' wardrobes on me.

Whereas Lancome's "O", which I have tried on periodically in shops for probably 25 years now, STILL smells like sex on me (after an initial half-hour light, "green" smell). All reviews say this is a light, innocent, refreshing, clean, unsexy scent. But time after time when I've tried it it has smelled of sex and desire on me.

So finally, after 25 years of not buying it cos it's emphatically not marketed as sexy, I trusted my snout and bought a bottle.

Out with the Chanel No. 5 (which I've been wearing since I was 15 - that's nearly 30 years now) and in with the O de Lancome.

Maybe I'm finally grown up enough to have my own definition of what makes me sexy lol.

Went to a local munch a few weeks ago. Met someone...interesting. He makes me feel comfortable with who I am, something that I haven't felt in years.

On another note, reconstructive surgery is book. Not sure how I feel about it, something I have wanted, but now, I'm a little scared.

I've been in a weird funk all day. I'm jumpy and feel like something bad is going to happen, or like I'm forgetting something terrible that will have awful consequences if I don't do it. I haven't been able to get rid of it.

For some reason, sitting here just fingering rope was making me feel better so I did kind of a ghetto shibari-type wrap around my hand and forearm. Oddly enough I feel a bit better.

Sort of surprised me, lol. Doesn't seem to care about the scars, makes me forget about them when I'm with him. Good feeling actually.

To finding someone who lights you up... Yay!

To facing your fears and maintaining your momentum of healing... Yay x 2!

To valuing yourself enough to not settle for anything less than everything you want and need ever again... Yay X 3,437!

Congrats on finding this place in your life... you are an inspiration. :)

Was talking to my friend about a problem I'm having with my breaks.

Then a thought hit me:

If I move to Texas, I'd have to find a new machanic willing to work for blow jobs!

Forget BFF's having to have been your friend forever. I've some of those and they are indeed good friends, but none of them really, really get me. Through overlapping circles of mutual local friends a new friend comes into my life...a bit of conversation on FB, a couple of actual meetings and VOILA, instant new BFF! I have not felt this close to a friend since childhood. Likely the closest was my last true 'girlfriend'....This makes me quite happy.

Oh...and I have cute new boots to wear cuz my new BFF totally had 'the eye' when we went out thrift shop scrounging on Saturday!

Did the 5-hour round trip (total 14-hour day) to the clinic with my poorly dawgy today.

Good news: the brain MRI and spinal tap showed nothing whatsoever untoward so - wahey! - my vet was wrong - there is no brain tumour!

Bad news: they did blood tests that show red cell count VERY low and white cell count VERY low and they suspect a bone marrow problem (which I suspect is vetspeak for "possible leukemia"). She and I have to so the same long day on Thursday this week for more anaesthesia and some x-rays and bone-marrow tests.

I must remember to take a thick novel with me this time. That's a long wait.

The attempts at casual conversation cause my heart to break all over again... I miss Her SO badly...

<hug> My boy and I were like that when we decided not to be together. Luckily in our case it turned out that we were supposed to be together so it worked out. I hope you can find some peace and happiness from your turmoil </hug>
