First thought - I'm not sure I'm ready for this conversation.

Second thought - How exactly do I explain I already know about furries, while protecting my own boundaries?

I'm not a parent, but I think it'd be a difficult conversation. You are pretty rational with people here; my impression is you'll handle this better than someone who is generally close-minded. Hang in there and keep the communication flowing.

She also has the benefit of knowing what its like to have a sexual preferance that others might find... Odd. So she is much more likely than the "average" parent to take it all in stride.

Holy cow! Well, I'm sure you'll be fine. Personally I would either play dumb on furries, or just say, I've heard of furries. I don't think there's much to say except I love you, you didn't have to share this with me, but I'm glad you trusted me enough to do so.

This is just so wonderful. I read this earlier and then came back to it again tonight to re read it. Yes, every bit of being human is beautiful... even when the human being seems messy, it is still a terribly beautiful work. When considered in its entirety, yes it is all worth it.

Find a chemise or lounging pajama set that has an Empire waist (or at least light elastic under the bust), slight A-line to the chemise (or pajama top). It should give you at least some bust support, but keep things swingly & comfy around the hips.
