Holy fuck. I've got to stop looking at spanking pictures.

I'm changing my AV back. Keeping it evil for a little bit.

Hmmm, this is bad....I am thinking of adding the speeding fines department to our banking address book to save me time when I am paying his fines online...I think he is addicted to getting them. :p

My mom is cool. I don't believe her when she says that she's behind me no matter what even if she doesn't understand, but I appreciate her saying it anyway.

   I've been asleep. What could I have possibly come in contact with that has my face broken out in hives???????

*scratch ... itch .... scratch .... itch ..... on and on .....*

Oh no! Delayed allergic reaction to being in the presence of Terminal Stupidity at work?

LOL ... that's possible :p

Whatever it is now has my entire face swollen and itching, my eyes are swollen and burning/itching like mad and now my neck is beginning to develop the hives .... whatever I'm reacting to is moving down my body :(

I would go in. Swelling of the face and hives on the throat can go wrong, FAST.

Sprinkles - just cuz you're a nurse, don't think something like this can't be serious. Because you are a nurse, you know better. Get yer tail in there and get diagnosed. Much better to find out it's not something life-threatening than to guess it's not and find that it is.

Nurses and doctors keep telling me I'm a fun "bad patient." I guess I'm a bad patient because 1) I keep sneaking off the floor - well, not sneaking; signing out and going off the telemetry floor - to smoke a cigarette or two, when I'm in the hospital with a heart attack; 2) I have a tendency to correct interns and residents on pronunciations (or definitions) of syndromes/symptoms/conditions I have, and ditto on meds; 3) snitching salt from the cafeteria and hiding it in my nightstand, so I can add it to my low-sugar, low-sodium meals; and 4) I don't sleep normal hours in the hospital, but I definitely get cranky if they wake me up to give me something to help me sleep

As far as fun/funny, that probably comes from 1) flirting with every nurse under the age of 50 (and a couple over ;) ); 2)threatening to spank the interns (I always seem to get gorgeous young ones!) if they mispronounce or misdefine something a second time; and 3) finding some way to get all of them - except cardiologists, who have their senses of humor surgically removed in medical school - to giggle, laugh, or at least smile.

They also seem to like, for some reason, the fact that I'm aware of what my body is doing, and have at least a basic understanding of what they tell me, or ask them for enough clarification that I do understand. Unlike in my younger days, it seems that doctors now prefer for patients to be intelligent about their condition and how to deal with it, instead of just blindly following orders without understanding why - or at least that's my experience over the past decade with VA doctors.

Sure hope you haven't got pityriasis rosea. I've had the damn thing 3 times, each time each area which broke out lasted just over 3 months so it ended up longer as it typically spreads, and it itched like the devil....and the last time started on my face. Like everyone said, go and see what it is incase it is something more serious and dangerous. :rose:

100 mg of Benadryl later: I'm good. Hives are reducing, itching is tolerable.

Thanks for the concern, my friends. :rose:

Wait a min... huh?

I now have an... appointment. With the clinic.

Actually, it's not that big a deal when you think about it: shave, spray, snip, glue and go easy for a few days. Now if it were a woman, then yeah, it'd be somewhat more of a big deal. Er, not that women normally have balls, you understand.
