I got my mom one of those as a gift once, I'm not sure if she ever uses it. The Ninja Remote is from Thinkgeek too, and I find it more useful because I can mute the TV without turning it off altogether. I think it's a little more friendly that way. You can also change the channel and adjust the volume...and turn it off! It's actually cheaper than the TV-B-Gone you linked to.

I have a low-tech version of that. I think you do too, Sir Winston. Mine is about 28" long, wrapped in nylon with a leather popper on the end and a comfortable rubber handle. Whenever I flick her 'button' with it, she does what I say. Admittedly it is a little more work, and isn't quite so remote, but, hey, I'm a low-tech guy.

I've always wanted to learn how to ballroom dance (latin style included), and when I watch "Dancing With The Stars" it makes me want this even more. The women are so beautiful and move in such elegant and/or erotic ways, depending on the style of dance. I love their costumes, too.
