The Isolated Blurt Thread XXXVII: You're Welcome, Fuckers

for a week, the outdoors thermo has hit 100 or more
never known it this hot, this early, and the plants are all suffering as we're held almost hostage in the house, early mornings and dusk being the times we can manage to venture outside and even then not for long.

a really good evening soaking of the veggies will generally last them a week in the summer at a push, but this year? 3 days and everything's desperate.

ER visit last night. I'm dragging, fatigue so bad. It's taxing to walk.
My liver numbers are through the roof. There are 3 different liver numbers

Just one example: AST, normal levels 10 to 45. My number is 224.

I have no idea what AST stands for but it's something to do with my liver

remember, though, the high numbers don't automatically mean you have liver disease

Went for a 2nd ride. Knew I was in trouble right from the start since I was going down hill. Eventually I was gonna have to come back up. 15 miles

That's the problem with living on a good sized hill.
We were in Winter Park Co today. For $35 a day, bikers can take their bike to the top of the mountain and choose from 7 or 8 different trails that zigzag down. Of course, it was mountain biking and they had some extremely tough routes and some not so tough. For them, not for me, I am not confident in my biking skills to even attempt. We just went to the top, ate a $25 stale pretzel, with burnt cheese, then came back down.. I've skied there quite a few times, just not the right season.

They have that here, too. I don't have a downhill specific bike, but my trail bike would be fun on a hill like that. Might not be super in the mondo bumps, but the 6"/5" travel front/rear would do well. Larger diameter brake disks might be good on the big hills.

I live about 700 feet or so above the flat-ish lands of Anchorage where my job is. And due to the terrain, it's 1100 ft of climbing to get home from work.
