The Isolated Blurt Thread XXXVII: You're Welcome, Fuckers

It's a shame when it comes to cluttered houses or hoarders that so much is thrown away. I get why but I wish there was a way to save anything that can be used. Such waste. :(

I think I failed as a dad with my son when it comes to bikes. Trying to fix that but ugh that was uuuugly.

The mowing is DONE!

But man, the cut off grass sure turns brown quick in hot, dry weather.

our mowing is never done, not till late autumn, anyway. damned stuff just keeps right on growing. and growing. and growwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggggg

we've had at least 4 days just recently where the outside thermometer hit 100, and lots of days in the 90's with high humidity, but yesterday it read 102. it's only June. ffs.

i see it all the time on American movies, and even in real-life American living: people take a tablet (painkiller, whatever) or even a handful of tablets, and swallow or munch them dry.

why?

the labels clearly state the need to take them with a glass of water, which helps them dissolve faster and avoid the awful taste of crunching them up. so why? is it more of a state or regional thing in the U.S?
it entirely baffles me as it's not something i'm used to seeing back in the UK where people tend to take medicines as per the instructions since they work more effectively that way.

Damnit. Where is my code book??
I know you're talking about more dead bodies being buried in your backyard. I'll crack your cryptic text soon, buttersmybaconbutt.

You don't fool me with all your veggie and plant talk. I know what you're REALLY doing. I'm on to you, sistah.

I take pills great. As long as I have water, I can get 5 down at once.

I would say it’s just the chronic sots and chronic pain people that chew aspirin tablets, etc, like they’re Sweetarts.

And the people in the movies that do it are usually emulating those chronics.

Of course, in a pinch, when no water is available and one’s throat is dry, it’s probably better to chew the tablet up rather than risk choking on it.

🤔
