Exactly!

"Savitar." Self-styled god of Speed, and Wally's scariest enemy. (At least until Hunter Zolomon became the new Professor Zoom, that is.)

Johnny Quick died in that storyline, as did one of the Krimson Kouriers.

And there were ninjas, lots of ninjas, and they all had superspeed.

It was awesome.

The moment when Bart saved him in the hospital by blasting through that wall still ranks as one of my favourite rescues in comic-book history, bar none.

And, no, I haven't read that story yet. My laptop keeps cutting out on me, but hopefully, if I ever manage to finish this Lex and Emil post, I'll read it then.

That's the worse stuff I've ever had. Used to get it a lot when I was a kid.

Loaded up with penicillin and a week's worth of augementin.

Yummy stuff.

Oh, and on another note, your recent PM about the clash between Zod and Wraith was very awesome indeed. Good action scenes, there. We're gonna have to write some of that in eventually. Awesome scene indeed!

DVD Extra: Deleted scene

This is what I sent Chas & Amen


Zod was coming.

Zod was relentless.

Zod was enraged.

Zod was here.

The wall blew in with stones and splinters. Merick, a superhero if I have ever known one, stopped them all with a bubble of pure force. Debris rained around us as the power flickered in the kitchen. Chloe was white as a sheet, but was grabbing the laptop with Odin in it and hers too. Pete held up a nightstick, and The others had various degrees of shock on their faces (except for Rose's mom, who had a look like she just popped the top on her extra-large can of whup-ass)

"So, this is the forces that have been aligned against me. Pathetic. Women and childre...."

Yeah, thats when he noticed me standing over in the corner in the shadows.


"Boo!"

The darkbolt exploded out my hand and hurled Zod back out through the hole and across the lawn until he hit a tree and crashed through the trunk. The remainder of the tree fell on him.

"We only have a second. Merick, GET THEM OUT OF HERE!!"


At that I was through the hole and out into the night. I heard the air pop behind me as Merick got the others out of there.

I should have left then, but the tree coming at me was sorta a distraction.

I phased into shadowform and the tree passed through me, shattering another hole in Bruce's house.

"The others will kneel before Zod. You, you will die. Slowly."

In my shadowform I was hard to see in the dark. The material world was difficult for me to see too, everything was muted. But I could tell he was favoring some ribs a bit. Seems I could hurt him a little.
I phased back.

"Oh come on. Kneeling is soo last century. But then again time flies when your stuck in prison doesn't it?"


Fuck! I had no idea he could move that fast until the blow crashed into my chest. I turned with it a little, but I still felt ribs crack as I was blown back into the mansion through a new hole.

Zod followed me in, flying in faster than most people could see, but I was not most people. I blasted him back with another darkbolt, snapping his head back and knocking him through another wall.

It gave me enough time to get to my feet before he was back, and he stopped at the hole he had made.

"I do not know what you are, but you will die now demon."

His eyes started to glow red. Nothing good comes out of red eyes.

So I webbed his head to the wall and dove out of the room.


The scream of rage was satisfying, but the blast of light and heat further destroying Wayne Manor was not fun at all.

I think he was mad now.

I tried to move further into the mansion but he burst through the wall next to me, punching me a glancing blow to the shoulder.

Which promptly snapped and I screamed.

I felt a hand with the power of Hercules clamp around my throat. I was raised up until my lavender eyes were looking into his cold dead eyes.

"Now you die. You will all die, or kneel before Zod.


His iron hand squeezed down, shutting off my air. I feebly raised my hand and tried to remove his grip, but it would not be broken. I made gurgling sounds. Struggled, growing weaker, until finally my hands fell limply at my side.

No breath escaped for him to hear. No heartbeat. No life.

"All will kneel before Zod" He whispered as my fingers on my good arm slowly formed into diamond-sharp claws.

In a flash my hand flew up, slicing deep furrows through his face and across his eye. I heard a pop as his eye exploded under the attack.

"Guess what, I don't breath motherfucker!"

The next thing I realized was that I was flying, exploding through inner walls, then through the outer stone wall and out the mansion, until my flight was stopped by a flash of light and red hair.

"Run" I managed to say before I finally passed into unconsciousness. Shadows evaporating from me and once again a boy was left. A broken and bleeding boy, with blood on his hand.

That was most excellent, though I'm not sure the whole eye exploding thing will make it into the final cut. Kryptonian skin (even the eye) is capable of withstanding such an attack. We'll have to discuss it a bit more when the time comes =)
