California is still out, Michigan is still out and close, Wisconsin is still out and close, Florida is going to be challenged. Ok i have read three different numbers for the electoral college votes. So did Bush win or not because out of all the different numbers he only had more than 270 once and guess what he had 271. Now what happens if neither person gets the 270 votes needed to be pres?

WOW!!!!!!!

Who would've believed that with all of the votes cast in the US, that as of 4 am EST there is only a 67,012 vote difference between Bush and Gore with 98% of the vote tallied,,,

ALL of the networks have pulled back their forecasts of Bush winning Florida and the polling place workers and counters have just been recalled to work in Florida,,,

This is unreal !! Elections aren't supposed to be this exicting, are they ??

For any of you that don't believe your vote counts, I think that this election has just debunked that notion,,,

Fingers crossed here for Gore to win in Florida

Al Gore is now the leader in the popularity polls with a 56,000 vote margin,,, still no official word from FL,,,

I never would've believed that an election could keep me from sleeping,,, I feel like I'm on a caffine high,,,LOL

What in the world happened???

I went to bed with Gore leading. Woke up about 2:30 and they were showing Bush with the 271 electoral votes needed. They said that Al and Tipper were getting ready to speak, I assumed it was over. Didn't want to get up this morning. Now that I am, I see that it's back to Gore leading 249-246!!

And Gore is leading the popular vote!!!

Shouldn't there be something that they need a clear majority (like 2/3) of the vote? Can't we just throw the two out and start again with two new candidates?

I just heard somehting about the ballots in Florida were confusing. Some people are saying that they intended to vote for Gre, but got confused and actually voted for Buchanan. I have no clue what happens with that.

Gore has the lead by 234,644 vote according to CNN, with a projected 260-246 lead in the Electoral College, or less than one-half a percent. Its a very tight race, and I dount it will be settled soon. There is a question of voter fraud in FL, I don't know what they are going to do about it-everything is really up in the eair right now, and remain that way for at least a few days. The recount could take anywhere from 3days to three months if the Newscasters are to be believed. I'll try and keep posted to what's up.
