That sounds like a really fun thread. I'd never do the actually cats, because they're too perfect and I don't think I'd be able to play them right, but just using the universe sounds like so much fun.

Well, let me know if you're interested, love. I'd pick something up with you. And yeah, I'd be bad at playing cannon characters. Just because I didn't come up with the character and I don't feel like I'd do it justice.

No, you're absolutely right. There's definitely a trick to staying true to the original and what you love, without wrecking it. You have to pick and choose, and pull what you want and leave what you don't, while still keeping it interesting and still close to what you wanted.

You're in! As if I would say no. The fact that you geek out with us about it notwithstanding... Although it'd be important for it to be serious and yet have the humor. Something that's cringeworthy for me in Whedon threads is they're always so DARK. The guy is funny, his plots are snarky. I don't mean a hilarious Firefly thread but definitely some lighthearted moments.

Well I've threadstalked you... so that's kind of why I agree. What a bummer. I hate it when stories fall through.

But on the bright side, we can all keep our thinking caps on (I'm such a geek) about this. I think it'd be fucking great.

@ Tess - I think it would be great, too. I'm afraid I don't have much in the way of stalkable threads. But for writing samples, you can check out my notebook. But I'm fairly certain I has a pilot or an engineer in me....or even a doctor.

I saw your notebook! You're fantastic. Women who can make a web of words... Why do you guys think I keep saying it'll be great?! I mean, don't get me wrong, I love Firefly. But co-writers make or break it and you both are wonderful.
