Things are going well, so far. Woke up without many of the little aches and niggles I went to bed with, so that's a very good thing. Rest! It cures what ails you! Or, at least, it does when all that ails you is overdoing it while tearing up your kitchen floor.

Glad to hear you're less achy. Work like that is rewarding, in that you can see an almost immediate result, but the aches tend to creep up on you afterwards so am I'm happy they haven't lingered with you too long.

Yes, it really is rewarding to do this sort of thing - physical labor can be very gratifying. I'm hoping that the finished product is worth all of the work that's going into it, but frankly, I hated the floor that was down there so much that it's worth it already just to be rid of it. What I didn't anticipate was that there would be another two layers of flooring underneath the stuff I hated.

We had that when we moved in. Stripped one wall of wallpaper, easy as pie. But the second wall had a good 10 layers of the stuff stuck on it, going back 30-40 years. Was interesting but such hard work!

Felt awesome when it was done though. Even if my back was a nightmare for a few days afterwards.

Am sure your project will be worth the effort too.
