I finally finished Mass Effect 3. I sacrificed myself to merge life. I also cried, because my dear Garrus and Liara and everyone else looked so sad that I died and I hurt them horribly by dying...but I saved EVERYONE by doing so! My heart hurts now :[

Obviously its his scars. Shepard has a thing for men with scars. But really, I think its his personality and striking appearance. He's not a creepy alien, he's a handsome-but-different alien. Like, the same reason the asari have that "exotic" appeal, but a bit more extreme

I strongly suspect genetic memory is a Real Thing, versus a sci-fi element. In so many ways, I feel like I carry my grandfather's experiences with me. The kicker is I only met him during one vacation when I was a year old (he died when I was around 18 months old).
