You little shit!

Mat, we have had this discussion time and time again. And you know damn good and well that I have a rule against you calling yourself old. I'm glad to see impressive has picked up the torch as well. You see? Us yung 'uns DO NOT tolerate

ANY

form of the word OLD where you are concerned. Now please, do the right thing and apologize for breaking the rule so we can all move on.

Ol' is most definitely an infringement of Lucky Code # 269, and you know it.

*crossing arms and shaking head*

NO, this is not open for discussion. It would not bode well for your un-spankability for you to refuse.

I'm with her. You aren't old in any sense of the word Mat, so quit calling yourself any form of it.

Alright, you wanna play dirty then, do ya?

Explain to me OLD wise one...

...why you got so pissed yesterday when I jokingly called you *gasp* granny  !?!

Oh that's got nothing to do with being old. (See that word? 'OLD). That's to do with an aversion to little humans.

Babies. *shudder*. And all the connotations....baby-sitting and expected 'granny' type roles.

I've told both mine, the first one that makes me a grannie gets cut out of my will.

The second one gets castrated. :D

And I have no problem with calling myself old, but I have never used the word WISE to describe me. Because I ain't.

Oh, and did I ever tell you............love you babe.

You obviously haven't visited Texas before, or you'd know that 'granny' is a reference to being old. And since you were whining (whinging  ) about your dial-up being slow, I thought it appropriate.

Keep pushing and before you know it, you'll be un-wise and OLD!   (Even though I still won't believe it.)

There was an old auntie whom we met on a thread
She kissed us all soundly and sent us to bed
She read naughty stories that made us all blush
Then kissed our lips softly, which made us all hush.

'Hush my sweet child', she would sometimes coo
Which made us all flutter and our panties wet goo
Her accent so tempting and so demure
Yet her intentions anything, but wholesome and pure

Old? Ye ask, me sweet impressive one
If she's an old hag, ye can kiss me bum

Matriarch, Mat, you old wrinkled witch
Get yer ass back in bed and call me yer bitch.

lol.......You are f'ing brillant door. :D

Shouldn't that be done in needlepoint?

(with naughty bric-a-brac around the frame?) ;)

Ol' does not equal Old, especially in regards to mat. (I voted no.)

:)

Exactly MY argument. (Damn, I'm STILL being misunderstood!)

OK, much as it goes against the grain, I am going to clarify something about this thread.

What Imp is asking is essentially (ignoring the fact that its directed at me), if someone uses ol' in place of the word old, even though they have used an abbreviation, does it still count as using the word old?

If you think ol' is the same as old, then vote yes.

If you think it does not mean the same as old, then vote no.

The whole point of this is that I used ol' and said it wasn't the same as old. Imp disagrees.

Clearer now?????

Thank you.

(I think I may have shot myself in the foot, but I HATE misunderstandings.)

Sheesh, once they get old they start losing the plot... :p

We know you're both funnin'...

Trust an oldie to take the fun away LOL

I don't know why you're laughing.
I think its a great idea.

When I can find my tapestry/embroidery fram in this pile of stuff, I may just have to start one.

And yes, I do embroider and tapestry.........but so does my 28 year old son........needlepoint does not an old woman make. Just someone who enjoys a gentle and calming past-time.

I also enjoy air guitaring to AC-DC.

Go figure.

(Please note, response made tongue in cheek, no animosity at all. In fact, I haven't stopped grinning my head off for hours.)

CONTEXT, Mat! Using "ol' lady" equals "old lady." Let's be even clearer!

EDITED: Should we also be debating the use of the word lady? :p

No worries, sweets. Myself? I understood from the very beginning and voted against you straightaway.

It counts.
