The Office (Closed)

Yvonne collapsed, sated, and feeling as though everything was right in her world once more. Matt had that unique ability to to make her feel just the way she should.

She was breathing hard, Matt blanketing her body with his, and she smiled into the pillow, fulfilled in every way. Life was pretty damn perfect, right now!

She cuddled into him, resting her head on his chest, and she fell into a deep and restful sleep, wrapped around the man she loved.

Matt actually woke before Yvonne, something that seemed to be happening more and more. He smiled, looked over and saw that the alarm hadn't even gone off yet. Feeling a little frisky this morning, Matt slipped over Yvonne, teasing her sleeping body with fingers, lips, and his prominent morning erection.

"Wakey wakey little Pet, your Master wants you."

"Wakey wakey little Pet, your Master wants you."

Yvonne woke to Matt's words, and his dick rubbing her damp folds! She smiled up at him, and licked her lips, glancing at the clock to ensure they had plenty of time, and then with a grin, and with a wiggle of her ass, she spoke.

"And how does my Master want his little Pet ??"

She moaned, as his dick rubbed against her clit, and a shudder of sensation passed through her. She was feeling pretty frisky this morning too, and was up for a little morning fun.

God, she was lucky she had him! He was everything she wanted in a husband!!

Matt grinned down at Yvonne, stealing little kisses from her lips as their hips ground softly together. He knew he was teasing her, could feel her body responding to him as his hardness dragged over her wet folds.

"Hm, I could want you frustrated and not let you cum."

He laughed at the horrified look she got, then kissed her again.

"I think for now though just like this is perfect."

This time Matt lined himself up and slipped smoothly into Yvonne's sex. One hand pinned her wrists above her head and then they both fell into the slow and sensual dance of pleasure.

He teased her. Matt was always so very good at it, getting the balance just right, just enough to keep her on edge, enough to make her wonder, enough to excite her!

"I think for now though just like this is perfect."

She heaved a sigh of relief as he slid into her, her body gripping him, holding tight, right where she wanted him to be.l

They moved together as one, Yvonne arching beneath him, her hands pinned above her head, loving the way he mastered her body, and made her crave him!

"Oh Matt, yes! Oh yes, I love it!! You feel so good!!"

The motions of Yvonne and Matt were in perfect sync, her hips meeting each of his slow thrusts, her breasts pressing against his skin when their lips would meet. Her legs were free, and she had moved them around his waist, urging him as they continued their slow coupling.

"I could do this all day my lovely pet, you're just such a perfect fit for me."

Unfortunately they didn't have all day, and Matt sped up just enough to let them reach completion together. His lips found her neck and exploited every little weak spot he knew of as their hips met over and over.

He was the perfect fit for her too, in every single way, in every aspect of her life!! It couldn't be better, but he was right, they couldn't dawdle in bed all day, more was the pity, because Yvonne would have liked nothing better!!

They had the big board meeting today, where she could summarise her points from yesterdays meetings, and the presentation, and then, that would finish before lunch, and they weren't flying home until late, giving them ample time to play before their flight!

Yvonne suddenly blushed, as she recalled their flight up here!

She kissed him, passionately, wrapping her entire body around him, as she did so, then she lay still for a few minutes, before getting up and heading for the shower.

Matt sighed contentedly as he and Yvonne shared a few moments together, just cuddling in the aftermath of pleasure. He could want nothing else in the world, all he needed was Yvonne. Much as he wanted to just hold her down and tease her a little more, there were real duties that required tending too.

"Meet you back in the sitting room in a few and we can go over your talking points and the answers to most likely questions."

He stole another kiss from her and swatted her backside as she went into her shower. Much as Matt wanted to join her, they wouldn't actually get washed if he did. So he retreated to his room and showered, shaved, and picked out his suit for the day. This one was charcoal grey, it went well with the blue shirt and tie. He left the tie off and the jacket over the back of his chair as he sat in the sitting room. His laptop was in front of him and he was making sure that everything Yvonne needed was going to be available to her.

Yvonne came out of the room, entering the sitting room dressed in a tailored black pencil skirt, with a blue pinstripe, and matching suit jacket, over a pale blue chemise. She had nude stockings, and a tiny blue thong.

She stopped dead when she came into the sitting room. There he was, Matt, laptop out going over everything. He was so careful, so dependable, so reliable, so wonderful. She stood for a moment admiring his physique, his broad shoulders, his strong thighs, he was, with out doubt, to die for!!

She cleared her throat and when he looked up, she smiled at him, and went in and sat down.

"Did you order any breakfast yet? Someone wore me out last night, and I seem to have worked up an appetite!"

It took Matt a moment to register Yvonne's presence, he was double checking a few numbers and revising some of the data into shorter talking points as opposed to a more comprehensive presentation. He was very careful that none of the more relevant information was downplayed but that it was also clearly explained.

When he noticed Yvonne he smiled and gave a little whistle.

"Someone looks good enough to eat."

At her words he raised an eyebrow almost comically.

"And who was this person and where do I find him so I can kick his ass? Yes, I did order breakfast, it should be here shortly. In the meantime I've got some pretty stock answers to questions for you to go over."

Yvonne laughed at his words.

"You know full well I was talking about you!! And I'm pretty sure you know you look damn good!! So no fishing for compliments, you hear! But seeing as you have breakfast ordered up and everything, I gotta tell you, you really are Mr. Perfect! And I love you!!"

With that she went to him and kissed him. As she sat down, she spoke again. "Hey, I like that thing you did with your eyebrow! Very James Bond!!"

She pulled her chair around next to his, looking into the laptop, and turning serious now.

"Okay, that looks good. Oh look, points 5 and 8, will you move them, I'd prefer to have 8 as my second point, and to finish with 5, because it leads nicely into the summery I have planned. That's excellent work Matt, I do appreciate it you know!. You really are top notch, and I can't imagine how I'd manage without you!"

Matt chuckled softly, it took almost no effort to rearrange the points into the order she wanted. He also adapted the wording to flow more smoothly from point to point and into her summary.

"Oh, you couldn't manage this without me silly. And I love you too."

As he was contemplating a move the front door was knocked on. With a sigh, he got up, stole a quick grope of Yvonne's backside, and opened the door for the room service. Matt gave the guy a tip and sat back down at the table.

"Well Mrs. Starving, eat away."

Yvonne sat and dug in. Selecting some pancakes, and bacon, and a little scrambled eggs, she began to eat, snagging a strawberry and eating that too. The coffee was strong and hot, and the Orange juice sweet and freshly squeezed.

"Mmm, this is good!" she said, between mouthfuls

They ate, both clearing the breakfast set out before them, and then, when she was done, she went and cleaned her teeth, and re did her lipstick, adding a sheen of gloss, and picking up her briefcase.

"C'mon lover boy, time to go!"

Matt and Yvonne both ate heartily, apparently sex burned as many calories as he'd heard. And given the frequency with which he and Yvonne were enjoying each other they'd probably wind up losing some weight. It didn't hurt at all that the food was excellent. When they were finally finished eating they broke to see to last minute appearance issues.

Matt had his tie and jacket on when Yvonne returned and teasingly ordered him out into the real world. They were as prepared as they could be, and fortunately the meetings today wouldn't be too long. They also wouldn't be horribly tense, while the summations were formal much of the rest of what was going on today was almost casual.

They paused outside of the room where each manager would be making summations, Matt double checking all the facts and points before handing Yvonne the printouts he'd done. For summations he probably wouldn't need to hook up the computer, but he was prepared just in case that was necessary.

They headed to the meeting, walking quietly, as Yvonne collected her thoughts, and mentally organised what she would say.

Just as they entered the conference room, they were approached by Bob Sega, and John Simmons. Bob headed up HR for the entire company, and John was the company president.

"We just need a quick work, come on up to my office!"

It wasn't a request. Yvonne's eyes flicked to Matt as they went, and she began to panic that perhaps this was something in respect of their relationship.

"Have a seat!" Bob gestured to the spare seats around his small, in office conference table. Yvonne sat down, next to Matt, and smiled at both Bob and John.

"You'll be hearing about it soon, at the main meeting, I just wanted to give you a heads up that there are some changes coming, which will affect you. Essentially, Yvonne we are amalgamating your office with Memphis and Birmingham. Yvonne, you have done a great job where you are..."

She sucked in her breath. Was she about to be fired??

"Jack Ryan - you probably know him, he has your position in Memphis? Well, he is going to head up the new office, you will be second in command, and your key role will be liaison between HQ and base. You'll keep your same salary and benefits that you have at present, it will be an increase in responsibility, and if projected targets can be improved upon, there will be significant bonus opportunities. So congratulations. Not what you were expecting, but I think you will do well.

Now, let's talk about Matt. He's wasted where he is, and I want him to head up HR for the newly combined offices, and for Florida and South Carolina. We've seen you attention to detail, and you have superb people skills, and I think it will suit you well."

What??? They were taking Matt??? Yvonne was not impressed at all. Oh, it was good for him, a promotion, but there was a subtext that they thought her achievements were really Matt's!! Yvonne felt as though she was being moved somewhere where Jack could keep a close eye on her!! And she and Jack had NEVER got along!!

They were still talking. "Matt, keep this to yourself for now. It's going to take about six month for the amalgamation of the offices. We have organised some training for you. Initially, it distance learning, over the next three months, but then we want you in Boston for three month, to do an intense course in HR law. But we recognise your natural ability in this Matt, and of course, it comes with an excellent pay and benefits package". They mentioned a sum, and Yvonne gasped. It exceeded her own salary by about $25,000!!!

It was all a blur. They returned to the main meeting, and Yvonne did her thing, but she stuttered and stumbled over figures, and was no where near as slick as she usually was. There was even a joke or two from some of her colleagues. By the time the meeting came to an end, she was livid.

Matt was almost as nervous as Yvonne when they were called into the bosses office. He recognized two of the head honchos, and his experiences with situations like this were never pleasant. Still, there was nothing to be done about it except find out what was coming. At least he was with Yvonne, she handled things like this much better than he did.

The announcement of combining the offices wasn't that unexpected, their office had been downsized enough lately that they were either being shut down or assimilated into another office. With their current workforce they should all simply shift over into the new one, assuming everyone wanted to at least. He was happy that Yvonne was staying on, her position could easily have been viewed as a redundant one and simply been removed. Matt knew she'd been hoping for a promotion out of this weekend, but this was not by any stretch the worst thing that could have happened.

Then they dropped them bombshell.

It was the most surreal experience of Matt's life, listening to them discuss what they had planned for his future. As flattering as it was, and as generous as the money would be, he didn't really want that job. One of the reasons' Matt was good at his job was because it was so localized, he worked in their office and did everything he could to help Yvonne. He also objected to the implication that Yvonne was piggy backing on his work. That wasn't true at all, and even if it were a little accurate every boss leaned on their assistant. That was pretty much their job description after all.

He didn't really remember much, there were handshakes, probably a few mumbled words, but nothing felt real. He couldn't do this, there was no way he was suited for this job. You needed not only training but a relationship with those who you'd be working with and reviewing. Matt was just an assistant, there was no way this would work.

The summation meeting was a total blur, Matt couldn't remember anything about it. He was actually feeling a little sick at that point. He didn't really want this job, and the travel would be a nightmare given the area he'd be overseeing. The more the thought about it the less this made sense.

With the meetings over, Matt finally felt himself coming out of the trance like state. While his natural impulse was to politely decline the job offer, he wasn't about to make a decision so rashly. He and Yvonne were walking together back towards their rooms, he could practically see the steam coming from her ears. When the doors were safely closed behind them and they were together in their shared sitting room he could tell she was needing to vent.

"Go ahead Yvonne, it's ok."

Much as he wanted to give vent to his own frustrations Yvonne was clearly needing the platform to release the stress more than he was right now.

"Go ahead Yvonne, it's ok."

Yvonne looked sharply at Matt. In her mind, he bore some of the blame for this, although she knew she was being totally unfair.

All of her thoughts were uncharitable, and unfair, and much as she needed to vent, she found she couldn't do so without offending Matt greatly.

Instead she screamed in frustration, and punched her pillow. She needed to work out, to burn off her fury!

She realised she ought to congratulate Matt, and did so, with no little grace.

"Oh God, I'm sorry, Matt, congratulations! I'm delighted for you, you deserve it!"

Matt was a little surprised that the first words Yvonne spoke were congratulations.

"Um, thank you. Though I certainly don't feel very honored. I don't really want that job, I'm perfectly happy where I am. Honestly if I thought I could find a way out of it I would in a heart beat."

It was odd, he was being given an opportunity to earn much more money, have a solid benefits package, and be put in a position of authority. And he still felt like he'd been gut-kicked.

Matt sat on something, he couldn't tell exactly what it was he was still in kind of a fog.

"I'm sorry this didn't go as we'd hoped, you certainly deserved the new job over Jack. He's a sniveling little weasel."

Yvonne was quiet, she was furious but she was conflicted.

Matt was telling her he didn't really want the job, but that didn't make sense. It was a major promotion for him, with a huge hike in salary.

She began throwing her things into her suitcase, as they would need to leave soon in order to make their flight. She was fuming. The thoughts of reporting to Jack was sickening. He was the kind of guy who would suck up all the credit for everything and claim it as his own, and should anything go wrong, he was an expert at hoving all blame off on anyone unlucky enough to be in the vicinity.

"I just need time to take it all in. I was so certain that I was going to be promoted. I suspected the amalgamation of the offices, but I thought I'd be promoted to head up the new place!! How the fuck did Jack get it over me???"

Suddenly, it occured to her that she had run into Andrew Martin, the company director, who was aware of her relationship with Matt. Was that a factor?? Was that why he was getting promoted, and moved from her, and was that why Jack was getting the top job??

Matt was gathering his things as well, the daze was fading a little bit, sadly the nausea wasn't. There didn't seem to be any logic to what had happened today, but he also didn't have all the information. There had to be some legitimate line of reasoning for all of this.

"I have no idea how Jack got that job, it doesn't make much sense. I was with you, you've done exceptional work with a limited staff and a small budget. If anyone deserved that new job it was you."

It didn't take too long to get their things gathered. Matt made a call to the airline, double checking that their plane wasn't delayed or moving faster than anticipated. He could tell Yvonne was still upset, and from his perspective it was totally justified. There hadn't even been reasons for the upcoming reshuffling given.

"When we get home I'll make some calls, see if I can't figure out why this happened this way."

Yvonne was silent. She was mad as Hell as she threw everything she had violently into the case. Really, she wanted to throw something against the wall, to smash something, but she contained herself.

"I have no idea how Jack got that job, it doesn't make much sense. I was with you, you've done exceptional work with a limited staff and a small budget. If anyone deserved that new job it was you."

Yvonne stopped what she was doing and turned on him.

"Do you have to be so fucking understanding all the fucking time!!!???! Oh Yvonne you did a marvellous job, your just the bestest in the whole wide world!!"

She parodied what he had said in a nasty, snide tone.

"What YOU think doesn't matter a fuck, Mr Just Got A Big Promotion, I got fucking shafted!! I DONT want you support, or your sympathy, or your moral outrage! I want you to SHUT.....THE....FUCK....UP!!!!!! Now, my relidable, dependable little assistant, with fuck all ambition, do what your fucking told, and zip it!!!"

She grabbed her bag and stormed out, out of the room, out of the hotel, and into the first cab she could find.

She was seething. She had always had a wicked temper, but it was something she always kept in control and out of the public eye, but she had lost it now!

She went to a bar, and took a high stool and ordered up a double brandy.

She wanted to smash the glass, to do some serious damage to something, and the impotence of her fury was making her temper like a pressure cooker.

She had tried to do the right thing, to congratulate Matt, but it had sounded hollow, even to her own ears.

FUCK!!

Matt was more than a little shocked at Yvonne's outburst. He'd seen her lose her temper a few times before, but nothing quite like this. When she stormed out of the room he was still standing dumbly. He knew she was disappointed, and she had every right to be, but her lashing out at him actually got under his skin.

He very calmly and deliberately finished packing, doing everything in his power to get his own anger under control. It sure as hell wasn't like he'd asked for this to happen, yet she was lashing out at him. Sure he was an easy target, probably the only target when she'd snapped, but it still made him angry.

By the time he was sure he was ready to depart he'd worked himself into a quiet rage. It wasn't a good thing, but he kept replaying everything. The job he didn't really want, Yvonne getting nothing for all her hard work, her violent outburst. None of it was fair, for the first time in a long time he was feeling good about things. He was happy working for Yvonne, happy with her being with him, things had actually seemed good.

Now who the hell were these people to just fuck over his life?! He devoted plenty of time to this company, and they didn't even have the goddamn common decency to ask him if he even wanted a fucking promotion? And then Yvonne. He was trying to be helpful, that was his job as her assistant and as her significant other, and she lashed out irrationally at him. Where did she get off thinking she could just abuse him like that?

Matt was in a very dark mood when he went outside and hailed a cab for the airport. Even in a mood like this he remembered to send Yvonne a text message about the flight. He kept it totally void of personal feeling, just their gate number and a departure time. It was actually lucky he didn't see anyone he knew between the hotel and the airport, with the mood he was working himself into he might well have slugged a crying baby if he wound up near one.

Yvonne heard her phone beep, but she ignored it! She knew it was probably Matt, but she was pissed as Hell, and didn't want to interact with anyone, least of all Matt.

She knocked back the double brandy, and had two more, before, well buzzed, she checked herself into a hotel. She slept off her stupor, and slept late the next day, her head hammering.

She finally went to the airport, and got on her rescheduled flight, and flew home. She went back to her place, bracing herself for a showdown with Matt. It was Sunday evening, but her house was in darkness. Obviously Matt was at his own place.

She decided it was probably best if they split. As great as things were, it was also a reason why she had been shafted, she was sure it was!!

Irrationally, she was a bit pissed that he wasn't at her place, or that he hadn't called. She knew she was out of line, but still.

Monday morning rolled around, and she had still not spoken with Matt. She drove to the office, still mad with the world, and marched into her office. She peaked out and noticed Matt was at his desk, but she didn't want a show down here.

Instead, she sent him an email.

<<I think things are too complicated, and I think it's costing me my career, therefore, I have come, reluctantly to the decision, that we should forget about everything, and simply focus on our working relationship. It was fun while it lasted.

YS>>

She re-read it a couple of times. Direct and to the point, perfect. She hit send, just seconds before she strode into the elevator, and went for lunch.

Pissed off hardly covered Matt's level of annoyance as he got on the plane. Yvonne hadn't bothered to show up, and he felt a tell tale twinge of nerves at that. He was worried about her, despite their flare up he hadn't lost any of the connection he felt with her. If he hadn't been is such a foul mood to begin with he might have gone a looked for her, but he was still upset.

The flight was uneventful, which was a blessing in itself. When they were preparing their landing his anger was mostly dissipated. He was still upset with how Yvonne had treated him, but the unfocused anger that had been burning inside him was mostly gone.

Once he disembarked, Matt hailed a cab and went back to his place. He figured Yvonne wouldn't want to see him right away, and despite his general improvement to his disposition he didn't really want to get into a fight with her. A brief period without either of them around would probably help things.

Matt expected her to call, and was planning on calling her, but Sunday wound up being a very unhappy day. First he was called by some people from corporate, they wanted a few things from him before they could start his training. Their assumptions were really grating on his nerves, but he went to do it anyway. Of course the whole thing became an ordeal, not to mention the people taking the information seemed determined to become friends. Really Matt couldn't care less, but figured it was better to at least be polite.

When that was finally over with and he was on his way back to his place, he got called by someone at the office. Normally he wasn't to be bothered on a Sunday, but they described this as some kind of emergency that required his attention. Naturally it wasn't, but by the time he'd explained the relatively minor issues his day was totally shot. When he finally got home he was too tired and frustrated to try Yvonne. Besides, he'd see her tomorrow.

When tomorrow came, Yvonne was late. Normally she was the first one in the door, but today she arrived just after the rest of the pack. Matt was hoping to catch her attention, but she totally ignored him. The day was busy, prepping for consolidation is seemingly endless repetitive work and everyone had more than enough to do. At this point Matt was hoping to spend lunch with Yvonne, hopefully things could be sorted out then.

He was just finishing up some paperwork when she walked by and into an elevator without so much as a glance in his direction. The cold shoulder treatment was really starting to annoy him. At what point did having a fight mean she got to treat him like he wasn't here? Then he noticed the flashing light on his taskbar that indicated an e-mail.

<<I think things are too complicated, and I think it's costing me my career, therefore, I have come, reluctantly to the decision, that we should forget about everything, and simply focus on our working relationship. It was fun while it lasted.

Matt just sat there, totally stunned. It didn't make sense, they had a bad weekend, things didn't go as planned, that didn't give her the right to just toss him aside like that. The more he read the words, the angrier he became. Where did she get the nerve for this?! Blowing up at him because of work was one thing, this was too far. And that final line: It was fun while it lasted !?

She had absolutely no fucking right to try and just toss him aside like that. The rage that had mostly spent itself on the flight a few days ago seemed to have not been beaten, but rather gathering reinforcements. Now he felt like there was a raging inferno in his chest.

This would not stand.

Yvonne treated herself to a long lunch, doing a little window shopping, and, truth be told, avoiding Matt. She had gone early to lunch, and she was returning late, ensuring that the office was full, and ensuring that Matt couldn't say anything to her.

She had scheduled a meeting for 2.30 and it was after 2.25 when she returned, ensuring that Matt couldn't say anything to her, not that she expected him to, she had been quite clear in her email.

She had heard a discussion on the radio, about women who dumped their partners by text, and she had thought at the time, that it was a heartless, horrible thing to do, but notwithstanding that, she had still used that technique with Matt. And she didn't feel bad. It was expedient!

She marched by his desk, ignoring him, and entered her office, calling over her shoulder. "Show in Stephen when he gets here, I'm expecting him any moment!"
