The Office (Closed)

Matt was silently fuming at his desk, doing everything in his power to keep it from his face and eyes. He really didn't need to upset the rest of the office with his personal drama, but keeping it all bottled up couldn't be very healthy. He deliberately didn't leave his desk for lunch, it wasn't like there was a shortage of work to be done anyway. Most of the rest of the office went out for lunch, leaving him pretty much alone, eyes burning into his computer screen.

Yvonne took her sweet time getting back from lunch, but Matt deliberately didn't make an issue out of it. No one else would either, Yvonne normally worked hard as an example for the rest of them and her taking a little extra time for herself. When she finally did return she was very flippant mentioning only her next meeting. Matt didn't even verbally acknowledge her presence, and barely nodded at all.

True to her prediction Stephen arrived only a few minutes later. Matt made a point of being on the phone and just waved him along. Matt had calls to make, he was wondering why Jack had got that promotion. Yvonne had outright said she thought he was messing up her career and he wanted to know just how much of that was accurate.

Yvonne kept Stephen in the office for much longer than necessary. It was cowardly, but she was keeping him there, until she was leaving, so that she could avoid a showdown with Matt.

Perhaps he wouldn't confront her, he had been pretty silent today, but if she knew him at all, she expected him to want to thrash it out with her. She had made things clear, she had told him they were done, and she was still repeating that mantra to herself, that she was better off with out him, trying to persuade herself of that. She was trying that so hard, that she hadn't even had a chance to think about things, or to miss him. She was sure in time, she would miss what they had, but it would be easier to make the break now, rather than later.

It was time to finish up, and Stephen had looked at his watch a couple of times, and Yvonne had explained his new duties to him, time and time again, rephrasing it slightly, until he had a dazed look.

"I'll walk you out!" she said as he powered down her PC.

She could avoid Matt that way. When she opened her office door she was taken aback. Everyone was gone..... everyone. She stopped dead, causing Stephen to bump into her. She felt a little deflated.. She had been so worried that Matt would be waiting for her, and he appeared to be gone!!!

Yvonne was taking far too long to explain new duties to someone, but Matt had half expected it. If she wasn't going to at least break up face to face she sure wasn't going to leave herself open to possible confrontation. It was another thing that was eating at Matt, that she thought he'd discuss this in a public forum. He respected Yvonne too much to do this in public. But he was damn sure going to figure this out.

Matt dismissed everyone on time and left with them, Yvonne was perfectly capable of closing everything down herself. He made a few quick phone calls on his cell while he drove, making sure his information was accurate. It turned out the reason Yvonne was passed over for the promotion had nothing to do with them seeing each other.

Matt didn't drive to his house, he drove to Yvonne's. She'd given him a key when they'd moved in, and he made sure his car was visible. He didn't want to startle her too badly, but he also wanted her to have the courage to actually face him. Matt seated himself on the couch, he could see both of the ways Yvonne could enter the house from here.

When she finally did come inside she seemed surprised to see him even though she couldn't possibly have missed his car. His eyes were hard, the pent up anger simmering inside of him.

"Sit."

It wasn't a request.

Yvonne was relieved, and, it she was totally honest, conversely, a little disappointed, that Matt had left before her. She was thinking through all that had happened, and she was beginning to feel a little uncomfortable, thinking that she was, perhaps a little unfair to Matt, not that she was reconsidering her decision to break up, she was pretty certain that he was the reason she hadn't gotten that promotion.

She let herself into the house, and the moment she did, she knew he was there. She hadn't noticed his car, but she sensed his presence.

She went into the sitting room, and saw a Matt she had never seen before. He was mad, and he was magnificent in his fury.

"Sit."

The single word, sharply delivered, elicited an instantaneous, and instinctive response, and Yvonne was sitting on the sofa, before she had even thought it through.

"Matt, what are you doing here??"

"Matt, what are you doing here??"

"I'm here to have a conversation you apparently thought was a waste of time."

Matt was careful not to raise his voice. Yelling wouldn't help drive his point home, it would aggravate his throat and possibly alert the neighbors. They didn't need a domestic disturbance call or the nice officers who'd show up. This needed to be resolved, but just between the two of them.

"Apparently you thought it somehow acceptable to write a few impersonal lines on a computer screen and end what we have."

He stood, emphasizing the height difference. It also let some of the energy out of his body. He was still sure the anger was radiating off of him, but he felt a little less of it now.

"Not only do you snap, heap abuse on me for no discernible reason, vanish for a day and half and then avoid me at all costs, you then think a single interoffice email is sufficient? I'd ask what exactly you were thinking, but I doubt you were."

Matt was closer now, close enough for Yvonne to see his burning eyes.

"First of all, don't fool yourself. The way you tried to end this is totally unacceptable. You've been avoiding me because you don't want to have this conversation. You just want to make an executive decision and go blithely on with your life. That's not how this works, and you damn well know it. What makes it worse is that you somehow shift the blame about your job position onto me. That's a cheap cop out."

Despite his voice not rising, Matt could feel the intensity growing with every syllable.

"You don't get to come into my personal life, make everything seem bright, make me feel happy again, and then toss me aside with a few cold lines of text. You have absolutely no fucking right to do that."

They were close now, Matt's eyes burning directly into her soul.

"If you really want this to end, then come to me like an adult, like one goddamn human to another. I'll tell you right now, I don't want this to end. I love you, and you better have some reason besides your unfounded belief that what we have somehow cost you that job. Because I can tell you right now, it had nothing to do with us. Right now I wont say more than that, so if you chose to think it's a lie I can't stop you. But remember, I've never lied to you before, and I'm not now. If you chose to think I am, it just you being irrational."

Just verbalizing his issues had relieved much of the internal tension Matt had been carrying around. He was still mad, but it was much easier to control now.

"So I'm asking you now, face to face, just you and me. Do you really want this to end?"

"Apparently you thought it somehow acceptable to write a few impersonal lines on a computer screen and end what we have."

Yvonne could hear the fury in his voice, and when he put it like that, she felt the first inclinings of discomfort at the way she had handled things. He stood up and strode over to her, and she was made acutely aware of the difference in thier height, his power over her.

"Not only do you snap, heap abuse on me for no discernible reason, vanish for a day and half and then avoid me at all costs, you then think a single interoffice email is sufficient? I'd ask what exactly you were thinking, but I doubt you were."

OOoooh. Her conscience was really stabbing at her now. It was pretty lousy to blame Matt, eventhough she DID blame him, or rather her relationship with him.

Ouch! Dont hold back any there Matt!! He was livid, it seemed, and letting her have it with both barrels. She was upset, angry at herself, and getting angry with Matt too, but she instinctively did want to please him, even now.

"You don't get to come into my personal life, make everything seem bright, make me feel happy again, and then toss me aside with a few cold lines of text. You have absolutely no fucking right to do that."

Despite her anger, Matt's words warmed her heart. She had made him happy!! Of course, she had subesquently dumped him, and infuriating him. His eyes were shooting fire at him.

"If you really want this to end, then come to me like an adult, like one goddamn human to another. I'll tell you right now, I don't want this to end. I love you"

Yvonne realised that she had seriously underestimated the effect her email had had on Matt.

She got to her feet, hands on hips, and sucked in a deep breath, preparing to let loose!

"So I'm asking you now, face to face, just you and me. Do you really want this to end?"

Suddenly she slumped and sat down again, her legs like jelly. She looked up at Matt.

"I...... I... "

Her eyes filled with tears. "Yes, this is what I want. Its over Matt. I've worked hard for my career, and us being a couple is ruining it! I'm sorry about being abrupt, the email and all, but I was just trying to be efficient!"

Even as she spoke, she was shaking her head, her body language contrasting with what her mouth was saying. Her mouth was saying what her head believed, but her body was disagreing, sending out conflicting information!

Matt took a deep breath, Yvonne was clearly conflicted and he wouldn't help anything if he totally lost his temper. Besides, most of his anger was vented now and hopefully they could actually talk now that the rawest of the emotions were out of the way. He dropped to one knee, that put him nearly eye level with Yvonne as she slumped on the couch.

"I know how hard you've worked Yvonne, I've been working with you for awhile now. No one works harder than you. Our being together hasn't changed your work ethic or your quality of work done. I know that for a fact, I've been seeing all the data on it."

His hands cupped her face, gently raising her eyes to his.

"Don't use work as an excuse Yvonne, because it just isn't true. You weren't promoted because Jack is a slimy weasel. In addition to that he's pretty buddy buddy with a few other of the higher ups. They see him as someone they can enjoy socially more than necessarily the best man for the job."

Actually despite his personality, Jack was a very efficient boss. Not a good one, and a total glory hog, but his office hadn't been slacking.

"You and I had nothing to do with it. The reality is that for you to get that job over the weekend our numbers would have to have been beyond any realistic expectation."

They just looked at each other for a long few moments, Matts eyes deeply sincere as he spoke.

"Your career will go on just fine either way, I have no doubt about that. I can tell you right now though, my personal life will be a wreck. I've never felt about anyone else like I do about you, and while I'll probably keep functioning I'll never be this happy again."

Matt had to swallow around the lump in his throat.

"I'm only asking this one more time. Knowing that your job situation wouldn't be any different if we'd never met on that cruise, do you really want this to end? Because I don't, but I'm going to respect your wishes on this. If you truly don't want to stay together, to be my submissive, I will honor that."

It was true that he would follow her wishes in this respect, but if Yvonne told Matt to leave he was sure it would break his heart.

There was a clear change in him. Although he was still alive with emotion, his fury deemed to have dissipated, and now she could see much more clearly the hurt she had effected.

His hand cupped her face tenderly, as he told her why Jack had got the job over her, and he softened the news with praise about her work ethic. Yvonne was starting to feel like a heel. Matt had never been anything but totally supportive of her, and in truth, the quality of her work, for which he was praising her, was largely dependant on Matt's attention to detail.

Suddenly, it was abundantly clear to Yvonne how dreadfully she had behaved, and she began to cry hard.

"I.... I... Oh! Matt, I am so sorry.... I'm sorry Matt"

She put her head in her hands, and curled up into a ball, sobbing her heart out.

As soon as Yvonne started to cry Matt pulled himself onto the couch beside her, arms securely around her.

"Ssshh, it's ok Yvonne. It'll be alright."

He continued whispering soft and soothing things to her, rocking softly as he held her against his body. Truthfully he was more relieved that she didn't want to leave him, but at the forefront of his mind was a simple fact. Yvonne needed him right now. Everything else faded.

They remained like that for a long time, her venting the emotions that had been building inside her, him just holding her and rubbing her back and shoulders gently. When things were finally a little easier to handle, he spoke again to her.

"I forgive you Yvonne, and I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have just left like that. I promise I'm not going anywhere, I'm here as long as you need me."

"I forgive you Yvonne, and I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have just left like that. I promise I'm not going anywhere, I'm here as long as you need me."

His words wrapped around her, and she realised just how lucky she was to have someone like Matt, someone who was willing to stick by her, no matter what, someone who was willing to go that extra mile for her, to pull her up when need be, and to not just go, when she told him to, but to fight for what they had.

She clung to him, and cried on his shoulder, before climbing onto his lap, and wrapping herself around.

"Matt, I'm so sorry, I'm sorry for treating you as I did, for storming out and leaving you, and I know you must have been worried, and pissed at me, and .... and for that email.... it was unforgivable.... but most of all, I'm sorry for just giving up on us....What we have is .... well, special, and I should cherish it, not cast it aside, using it as an excuse for for not getting the position, and sacrificing the special thing we had..... thanks for fighting for us!!"

Matt wrapped his arms around Yvonne's body as she clung to him, the scent from her hair swirling up into his nostrils.

"I'll never give up on us Yvonne. Don't worry about how you behaved, I'll punish you later when the emotions aren't so raw. For not, just know I'm here and not going anywhere."

For what seemed a long time the two just held each other.

"Come on, lets get you showered and into something comfy. I'm sure we can find some cookie dough ice cream around here if we look hard enough."

Yvonne was in such a state, sobbing her heart out as she clung to Matt, that she didn't realise just how much she needed him until he spoke.

"Come on, lets get you showered and into something comfy. I'm sure we can find some cookie dough ice cream around here if we look hard enough."

He was right, she needed to shower, and change, and some ice cream sounded like something the doctor ordered!! She smiled up at him. He knew her so well, knew just what she needed.

"You know me inside and out, dont you Master! A shower, and some cookie dough ice cream sound exactly what I need!"

She leaned up and kissed him, pouring all her pent up passion into it, and then she stood, her eyes swollen and red rimmed.

"Wanna join me for that shower??"

Matt smiled and hugged Yvonne closer.

"I've never met a woman who, following an emotional purge, would turn down cookie dough ice cream to be eaten in comfy sweat pants. But yes, I do know you inside and out my little one."

His lips found the top of her head, sighing softly. Matt honestly had no idea what he would have done if Yvonne had actually told him it was over.

"I'd love to join you. Come on."

Matt scooped her up into his arms, carrying her to the bathroom where they both stripped while the water warmed up.

She climbed into the shower, and held out her hand, pulling Matt in which her under the hot water, cascading down over them. She soaped up her body and pressed against Matt, her hands massaging his back, pulling him close to her.

She wanted to begin to make ammends, and she sank to her knees, and took his cock in her mouth, sucking on him, feeling him grow in the hot, wet recesses of her mouth.

She kissed his balls, and licked the length of his shaft, over and over, before she sucked him, in his entirety, into her mouth, her nose grazing his abdomen, as she slowly worshipped his cock.

Yvonne looked up, holding his gaze, hoping to convey her feelings with her eyes.

Normally Matt might have halted Yvonne's movements, but one look into her eyes conveyed enough. She wasn't trying to use sex as a substitute for an apology, she was expressing her emotions. There was nothing wrong with that from Matt's perspective, and his hand slipped into her wet hair and guided her to all the little spots that he loved so much.

"Good Yvonne, you're going to swallow all of my cum you know."

Their eyes locked as she moved her mouth, lips, and tongue along his erection, letting their connection remain. His eyes showed only his love and understanding, his skin quivering just a little bit as she moved over and over his pulsing cock. He gave her no warning this time, but pushed into her mouth, the first jet of his cum landing down her throat, then he pulled back so the rest of it landed on her tongue.

"Good Yvonne, you're going to swallow all of my cum you know."

She looked up at him, smiling around his shaft. She felt him take control, and he thrust deep, driving his cock head down her throat, and then, he flexed and came, shooting his seed down her throat.

The next jet filled her mouth, and she eagerly swallowed it all down, licking his cock clean of all traces of his cum, and then softly kissing his cockhead, before she rocked back on her heels and, in one smooth movement, she stood, kissing his chest, before she reached up and wove her fingers in his hair, pulling his head down, and she kissed him deeply.

She held his head between her hands, and looked up into his eyes.

"Matt, I am so sorry. I treated you abominably, and I glad you forced me to see the truth. Thank you for fighting for us!"

"I'll always fight for you Yvonne."

Matt returned the kiss, his hands going around her waist and pulling her close to him. He could feel the beat of her heart, the softness of her breasts as they embraced. It felt perfect. Like they were made to be just like this.

"I am still going to punish you for your behavior though."

He winked, one hand slipping down to firmly grip her ass.

"But not tonight, later. When we can discuss things and figure out something that fits. For now let's finish getting you washed."

Matt lathered his hands with shampoo and began kneading the lather into her hair while she finished rinsing off her body.

Yvonne moaned as Matt began to lather up her hair. There was nothing she found more sensual that her scalp being massaged, her hair touched.

She leaned back into him, her back to his chest, and she simply enjoyed the pleasure of his touch. His fingers massaged her scalp, and built up a lather, and then she pushed her neck fully back, and allowed the hot water to cascade down over her, rinsing the suds from her hair.

Finally, her hair was squeeky clean, and the water was getting cool, so she and Matt climbed out of the shower, and she wrapped herself in a big towel, and got another for Matt, handing it to him, as they dried themselves off.

Matt took his time washing Yvonne's hair, enjoying the softness of her locks and the way she responded to his touch. He made a mental note to use more hair play at a later point. They kept going until the hot water was almost gone, then finally stepped from the shower.

Yvonne furnished a couple of towels and they dried off. Matt finished quickly, then told Yvonne to stay put. He went into the bedroom and rummaged through her dresser until he found what he was looking for. Every woman had them, a pair of very comfy sweat pants and a t-shirt that was usually close to them. Matt tossed them back to Yvonne and ambled into the kitchen.

It took more digging than he'd expected, but he did locate the ubiquitous half gallon of cookie dough laced ice cream in her freezer. Pulling it out and grabbing a couple of spoons he returned to the bedroom and found Yvonne snuggled under the covers.

Yvonne dressed, pulled the TV around, and then climbed into bed, pulling the covers up to her chin. Matt returned, and climbed in beside her as soon as he had slipped a DVD into the integrated DVD player .

Yvonne cuddled into him, loving the closeness. The open credits began, and she moved around positioning herself, so that she was sitting between Matt's legs, her chest to his back, and the tub of icecream in her hands. She held it firmly, while Matt wielded the spoon, and fed both himself, and her.

The Shawshank Redemption was one of her favourite movies, although she had seen it dozens of times, and she watched, allowing her mind to drift, as she enjoyed the comfort and familiarity of being in Matt's arms.

Matt couldn't have been happier with Yvonne's choice of movie, Shawshank was one of his favorites. Sitting in the bed, Yvonne snuggled between his legs and against his chest, him feeding either of them with the spoon. It was just another slice of heaven for the two of them.

"I love you you know."

His words were soft and carried easily between them.

"But tomorrow we're going to have to discuss your punishment. I promise, it will fit what happened and we don't have to worry about it anymore after that."

His lips touched her head and another bite of ice cream with a large helping of cookie dough found its way between her lips.

"I love you you know."

"I know, and I you"

Yvonne turned her head, and kissed him, his lips feeling warm in contrast with her icy cold lips.

In some ways, Yvonne was looking forward to Matt punishing her, because then everything would be right with them again.

She had missed him, and she knew, categorically, that she absolutely needed him. She needed Matt to pull her back into line when she needed it, to fight for what they, as a couple, needed. He was so good to her, but he was more than capable of standing up to her, of telling her a few home truths when she needed to hear them.

She relaxed back against him, her fingers drawing idle patterns on his thigh as they watched the movie, a comfortable silence between them.

Matt loved the comfortable intimacy that he and Yvonne could share. The movie finally ended and he took the ice cream back to the freezer and then found his way back into the bed with her.

"Alright, sleeping time my little one. And you don't get to be late and take a horribly long time for everything tomorrow."

He pulled her against him, one of his arms draped over her body. The absolutely best way to sleep was like this he decided.

Matt enjoyed the quiet intimacy between himself and Yvonne. Her cold lipped kiss reminded him that he could easily introduce her to some temperature based play. Another thing he filed away for future use. For now he was more than happy to just have her against him, enjoying a movie with her. Plus she was very warm as she relaxed against his chest, her breathing comfortable and rhythmic.

Finally the movie ended, and Matt took the ice cream back into the freezer. He climbed back into the bed next to Yvonne and pulled her close for a soft kiss.

"I'll see you in my dreams, and of course tomorrow. No slacking off like you did today though."

He kissed her nose playfully. Today had been hard on both of them, and tomorrow would be work. He snuggled against Yvonne, breathing deeply and evenly as they drifted off to sleep together.

They cuddled in together, and she loved the feel of his arms around her, making her feel safe, making her feel wanted, and loved, and she went to sleep.

She awoke at some point during the night, feeling confined in her tee shirt and sweats. She kicked off the pants, and then snuggled into him once more, laying on her side, and wriggling her ass back into him.

Sometime later, she hooked his boxer briefs, and tugged them off, and then settled back into him, his bare skin to hers, and everything was right in the world once more.
