Just posted a second story. I have a question for the more experienced authors here.

My new story (Witch Love, Woman's Love) has mostly interracial gangbangs (black men / white woman) and I wasn't sure in which category to put it --- Group Sex or Interracial.

I posted it in Group Sex.
Any thoughts?

A lot of stories intersect more than one category. Ask yourself where the emphasis is: are you or the characters making repeated, frequent references to the participants’ contrasting races or is the emphasis more on the numbers aspect: the multi-person sex. Possibly consider that the site describes group sex as “orgies, swingers, and others” which seems to refer less to 1-on-many gangbangs. Another way to look at it: “where would readers who like this kind of story be more likely to look?”

I should have posted it in Interracial, as I put a lot emphasis on the skin contrast. If I were to search for a similar story, Interracial is where I'd look first. I'll check if it's possible to have it moved to Interracial.

For that story, it will probably get a better reception in Interracial.

It's mostly the author's judgement call on which category to select. Just be away some categories can be more brutal that other (ie. Loving Wives for extra-marital fun is NOT well received).

Since that sweep last night fell in the middle of the month. it is probably the sweep for the monthly stories from last month.

I've been seeing Sweeps on stories that come off the NEW story tag. I've submitted several stories recently and they all lost 1 vote a day or two after the NEW came off. I don't know if this supercedes the contest sweeps or scheduled sweeps. but it was nice to see 1 vote coming off a 4.46 story and take it to 4.65

Nope, not here. The cop that lives next door has a pretty quiet life (as quiet as having 5 kids can be), soft ball game over at the ball diamond ended early, folks heading home. Neighbor three houses up dog won't shut up, that's about as bad as it gets.

You should be able to move it, but it might take a while. Resubmit with the same title plus the word EDIT, with a note requesting the category change. Edits are low priority, but get there eventually.

Seeing someone mentioned a sweep...

My story has something odd going on. Its been the same score for the last 4 days despite picking up around 35 votes during that time frame. Its at 159 votes so its not a small enough total for a bomb to really wreak havoc, but to not move at all in a decent number of votes is weird. I'm not going to break my brain trying to do the math, but to not move so much as .01 in either direction doesn't make much sense.

Oh gosh! Middle-class morality!

I may have a scenario that could be adapted for LWs. It is a mother and her daughter who take a hike in the forest and stumble on a group of young lads who are keeping alive their boyscout tradition of all-boys camping; the lads are all 16-17 yo in the story and it's OK on the site it is intended for.

I could make the lads 18-19 and make the mother a cheating wife, while the daughter is cheating on her fiancé because he wants to wait until marriage (he's hiding the fact he is asexual) and she's dying to have her first time now that she's 22. That would be a fun experiment about troll life in LW's. It really boils down to middle-class morality.

As for my current Halloween-themed story, it has got seven "favorites" within 24 h and a very positive comment, so it isn't all that bad, and I depicted long-time fantasies of mine in it, so it was really fun to do. I also learned more about what's allowed and what isn't. Trolls come with the territory.

They'd go with the story. Why do it, though? The story has played now. You'd just be taking up time that Laurel could give to those submitting who aren't just messing around with their stories.

After 1200 votes and a score of 4.13, isn't that a high score for LW? Why are you worried about one-bombs at this high vote stage?

Changing category at this point Isn't going to make much difference. But with a LW story, what did you really expect?

I'd keep that all day long. 4.13 on the LW scale is pretty good, anytime you see a 4+ over there is a win. You're not getting 1200 votes and 84 comments anywhere else.
