I commiserate with you. My story has dropped to 4.46 now, lost its little red-H yesterday at about 6:00 pm here in Okieland. Meanwhile, the first one I wrote for the contest, which I forgot to put the HALLOWEEN CONTEST 2022 in the notes section, is holding fast at 4.63, so that makes me happy. I enter the Halloween contest not to win but to try hard to write a good story for all to read.

Yes I am, but the funny thing is that my 22yo nephew has this painting on his wall.

You're probably too young to have seen "Seinfeld", a sitcom from the '90s. It's a painting of Kramer, one of the characters, for an episode. S3 E21 - "The letter". You can buy prints of it.

I wasn't going to enter this year, but had an idea so rushed it out and submitted it this morning.

It's called 'Bloody Halloween First Time', set in 1999 about an 18-year-old male nerd from Australia who loses his virginity on Halloween to a hot 24-year-old German girl on her period. Given the subject matter it won't appeal to everyone plus the late entry means it won't win, but I've done pretty well with First Time stories in the past, so hopefully the readers like this one.

The Incest Taboo readers can relax - this time I'm not posting a story that attempts to make them laugh.

Despite seeing the vote total rise I haven't been lower than 4.43 and not above 4.44 and this has been a trend. Also haven't seen any type of sweep, so we'll see where the final sweep puts it. Its not a bad score for the category so no complaints there, just odd with the lack of movement.

I’ve got a 4.17 but it’s funny because it’s got over 95 favorites and a view to favorite rate of 285/1. Most of my stories are in the 400 range. What’s really surprising to me is how little it’s been viewed. Only 27.1k. That’s really low for an LW story.

Engagement does seem to be on the lower side. I have 5k views (that may be fine for non-human genre) but only 5 favourites, 28 ratings, and 2 comments. I would have expected more for a contest, but not complaining as those who did respond seemed to like the story.

14.9K views, 26 favs and 150 ratings. it's hovered between 4.71 and 4.74 for a while. I'm not savvy enough with this to know whether there were sweeps or not. This was a BDSM story but not your typical BDSM. This is the 2nd contest I've entered and I'm just not that certain as to how it all works.

But as a aside, having read through most of these stories, I'm always amazed at how well some people write, and where these stories just come from. I am awed by the talent of the writers, and there were a couple that reduced me to tears. Kudos to everyone who participated.

It must be getting close to the end, the trolls hit every one of my entries with one bombs today. All I can hope for now is a mercy sweep.
