It was timing, I was not ready when he asked five years ago when I decided I was ready he decided he was not. We still see each other every so often, but it will never be the way it could have been......
i think i pushed mine away. i know i did. it's really difficult for me to trust people; long story for another thread, but i know that my trust issues put me in the place that i am now. i met someone and i thought it would be different because we were growing together for... months. he was patient, as patient as one could be when dealing with a toxic person such as myself. i guess it became too much: sporadic communication transitioned into none at all. no goodbye, no explanation. nothing. if i had another chance, i would work harder to be more trusting, though i don't know that it would have affected the outcome. fate tends to happen that way.
I yanked on the line too quickly, and it managed to swim away.

I saw yours and I had to .... um...nevermind. I haven't shaved yet, either.I heard this song on the radio and it made me think. Do you have one that got away? What would you do differently if you had another chance.
