*Facepalms*

I had assumed they'd released a console version since the sequel is for all platforms...

It might be, but I've only seen commercials and ads for PC. Not that it matters, as even most high end systems can barely play the original *laughing*

I share your views on that particular text. But those things are better left to others for discussion. So, let us change the subject. Music, perhaps?

*He smiled briefly as she repositioned her hair. He let that hand remain free, but the other was held by his in a warm grasp that was firm, yet not demanding.*

"Right... Music... I'm eclectic..." she said softly, then thought about it a moment. "My favorite band right now is The 69 Eyes. I heard them on H.I.M.'s Pandora Radio Station and really liked the singer's voice... I listen to most things though, popular and otherwise."

She smiled a little. Her free hand gripped the hem of her shirt and spun the fabric around her index finger until it was too tight. She released the fabric only to repeat the process over and over and over again.

Oh really?! I like them too, as well as His Infernal Majesty....have you heard a band called Poisonblack on your Pandora station? If not, you should look them up. I dig them as well. I'm a bit eclectic with my musical tastes as well, though I tend toward the heavier side of metal most often. It's odd to hear Megadeth be followed by Mickey Blue Eyes on my iTunes....but amusing nonetheless.

"I may have," she responded, closing her eyes to try and remember. "I think... I'll just re-look them up when I'm surfing the internet again."

She giggled and nodded. "I know what you mean. I have a lot of upbeat music on my mp3 player, and when I have my playlist on shuffle sometimes I'll be listening to, say, Edwin McCain, then all of a sudden the next song is by Shadows Fall..." She giggled again. "I gave my friend a right scare one day when she was over... she and I were singing to Story of the Year, the next song turned and it was one of Cradle of Filth's heavier pieces..." she laughed, covering her mouth as she did so, shaking her head. "Her face was priceless."

*He laughed along with her, trying to envision the look of surprise on her friend's face.*

Say, d'you want something to drink? I was going to get something for myself in a moment.

*She was still toying with hem of her shirt, twirling it until it could go no further, then repeating the process after undoing the spin. It was drawing attention, more likely unintentionally, toward the hem and also the juncture of her thighs. He averted his gaze back to her face before less benign thoughts could surface. He smiled again, this time a hint of blush invading his cheeks from that moment of ungentlemanly behavior*

She shrugged and nodded.

"Uhm... cherry coke? I suppose...?" she responded softly.

She looked down at what she was doing to her shirt, shook her hand as if it were asleep, and leaned her elbow on the back of the couch. She glanced back up at him, curious to see why exactly his cheeks seemed to take on a soft, barely noticeable rouge tint. She smiled brightly, wanting to mention it, but deciding against it. She was a bit relieved to see that she wasn't the only one that could blush around here.

"How about Muse... do you like them?" she asked: she sometimes did that, going back to a conversation that seemed to have ended, especially so when she remembered something.

Ok, one Cherry Coke coming right up.

*He rose and moved over to the bar, snagging her soda and one for himself. As he returned, he sat and handed her soda, sipping his with a contented sigh*

Actually, yes. I have all of their albums. I think the first song I heard from them was Knights of Cydonia on Guitar Hero. I've been a fan since.

"Thank you," She said with a grin. She sipped her soda and set it gently on the table, turning back to him. She nodded.

"I like them as well, though, I heard them on the radio... My hand-eye coordination for Guitar Hero is nonexistent... my friend tried to make me play once... I felt like such a goof... proof I'd never be able to play a real guitar..." She looked down at her hands, which at present where picking at her nails, a soft clicking sound resulted. "I did play Violin for..." She squinted one eye in thought. "... jeeze, eight years..."

She giggled. "I preferred singing... though... I didn't have the guts to do such a thing until way late in high school... eleventh grade to be exact... I had plenty of electives to stuff in my schedule, having done a lot of the core classes between eighth and tenth grade." she squeezed her hands together and winced a little. "God, I sound like a nerd..." she laughed at herself, glancing back up at him. "how about you, though, do you play any instruments...?"

I play on expert, though only after some prodding and refusal to let me play on lower difficulties by my old college roommate.

*He laughed a bit at the memory*

I can't sing to save my life....violin, eh? I love the sound of violin...so soothing.

Nothing wrong with nerdiness...and I like to pretend I can play the guitar I have...

*He smirked. He knew that with more rigorous practice, he could play to the level he wanted to*

"Gosh... I couldn't imagine..." she responded with a giggle. "I was failing at easy levels."

She smiled and nodded. "I can play classical and pop music... I can also play a variety of musicals... but... I haven't picked the thing up since I graduated... I may take it up again, though, double major when I get back to college next year... or I may double major with art... I haven't decided..." She shrugged and giggled again.

"Pretend to play... huh?" she asked with a raised eyebrow. She smiled and pushed his shoulder playfully. "I'm sure you're under-exaggerating.... we should start a band... you and I... It'll be like Yellowcard... I'll be the violinist that has a couple solos but usually is drowned out by the amazing guitaring, and you can do the amazing guitaring...." She giggled again and reached for her drink, taking another sip. "Dunno where we would get leading vocals from, though, I wouldn't be able to sing and play violin... the amount that I shake when I sing..." she laughed at herself again.

Practice makes perfect, Kay. *He gave her a playful poke in the shoulder, smiling and taking a drink of his soda*

I'm sure if we put up fliers, we could round up a singer. And who knows maybe someone here is a singer.....

Going back to college, you say? Are you on a break?

"good song," She giggled. "If you like the emo genre."

"Ah! I can design those fliers!!! they done learnt me that in illustrator class," she said with her quirky little smile. "... I'll provide the back-ups if we find ourselves a singer..."

She giggled again, then her face grew serious.

"... Yeah... I... withdrew from a bachelors degree in animation halfway through my second year because my mom got sick... I'm taking a year off... I plan on attending a University in West Virginia--where my parents are making us move--in the spring semester next year." She responded, looking down. "I plan on pursing my first passion... Writing... and maybe tacking on my musical talents or artistic talents, depending..."

Oh yeah? I'm more of a photoshop nut myself.

*He listened while she explained why she'd taken time off from school*

I wish you luck on the move and pursuing your passion.

*He smiled and finished his drink, setting it aside. He draped his arm around her shoulders again, lounging comfortably on the couch*

So...what to talk about next? Hmmm....how about body mods? Got any piercings or tattoos? I have one of each.

"I prefer Photoshop as well," she said with a smile. "My dad's the Illustrator nut... I use Photoshop for coloring and fixing my sketches, when I ever draw..."

"Thank you," she grinned. "I hope to be famous like Rowling one day..."

She giggled at her own dream: it must sound crazy, having such big aspirations. She leaned against him and went back to messing with the hem of her shirt.

"Five Piercings, all in my ears: one eighteen gauge per lobe, one two gauge per lobe, and a cartilage piercing. Two tattoos. A trinity on my right upper arm, a fairy holding a white rose on my left calf. I want more though... piercings and tattoos. My next tattoo is going to be an owl holding a pink ribbon in her talons. The owl represents my mom and her wisdom, and the pink ribbon represents her battle with breast cancer." She looked over at him with a thoughtful smile. "I'd like to get a labret someday as well... and perhaps a tongue ring..."

Rowling eh? I'm not much for Harry Potter...*He shrugs a bit before looking over at her mention of her piercings and tats* Cool. That owl will be a very meaningful one, I like that concept. Any particular reason you want a labret...or a tongue ring?

*His eyes gleamed with a mischief at the last question, his grin quirking a bit at the edges of his mouth*

My piercing is the left side of my lip, and the tattoo is a koi and dragon surrounding the kanji for transcendence. It's on my left shoulder blade.

"She's the only one I could think of that has an extremely famous long book series and a movie series..." She shrugged. "... other than the horrid Stephanie Meyer..."

She smiled and nodded. "I even drew it," she giggled. "and got it approved by my mom..."

"Actually... no... I just.. really wanted one since I was sixteen, and haven't gotten around to getting it..." she shrugged again. "As for the tongue ring... well..." she giggled. "...er..."

She cleared her throat and looked into his eyes: her cheeks were really really red.

"That's cool," she said with a grin. "how do you get away with your piercing at work though...? That's my only hesitation with getting a labret."

Self-designed tattoos are often the most interesting. Heh, if she approves then that makes it even better.

*He saw her blushing even deeper, grinning widely as his hand trailed up her arm and onto her shoulder*

I don't. I have to take it out, but I've had it so long that the hole doesn't heal over too quickly anymore. Now, about that tongue ring.....

*He chuckled and hugged her with his one arm, mostly pulling her leg about the piercing*

"I had to go through a couple concept designs before she chose one," she giggled. "Mom didn't like the Great Horned Owl... which happens to be my favorite... because she thought it looked angry, and she said she didn't want to be immortalized as an angry owl..."

"Of course..." She nodded. "Might want to get mine while I'm in college, then, so that I have three years for it to heal..."

Her head shot down and she began fiddling with her shirt again.

"Er... well... you can... get glow-in-the-dark accessories for your tongue ring... It'd be fun to go to a club or something and... it glow...?" She giggled shyly. "Other than that... I... do not have a logical reason behind it."

Those owls do tend to look a bit gruff...*He laughed again, envisioning the animal she'd described*

Yes, giving it a chance to be more permanent might be wise.

*He used his free hand to take a gentle hold of her chin and lift her head back up*

No need to be embarrassed. That seems a very reasonable explanation. I've heard of more...tactile....reasons for getting them, though.

*A fingertip stroked her cheek as he continued to hold her head up and stare down into her eyes*

She giggled and bit her lip, glancing up into his eyes.

"I could imagine... reasons why..." she said with a deep blush. "... having a vivid mind and all... and the things my silly friends say about the matter..."

She smiled a little, reaching up to hold the arm connected to the hand that held and stroked her cheek. "... So... what would you... like to talk about now? Preferably not politics... I get angry very easily over such silliness."

I am not a fan of political talk either, though I'm not sure what we have left to cover in the way of conversational topics...I'm a rather dull person to be truthful.

*He smiled and shook his head, searching his mind for a suitable subject to continue their talk with. Her hand on his arm was warm, and it sent a subtle tingle into his body*

"Comic books?" she suggested, then blushed and realized that was a super nerdy thing to say.. she also wasn't that knowledgeable on such things. "Er... Television's a safe bet?"

She giggled and shook her head, allowing her hand to run down from his forearm towards his wrist then fall to her lap. She bit her lip again, though, it wasn't out of shyness.

Either or both are safe bets for me. *He removed his hand from her chin, resting it in his own lap; the other arm still rested on her shoulder, hand toying with her hair again*

I'm not very up on my comic book knowledge though. Haven't had time to keep up with much in the world of DC or Marvel. I like Image comics too. *He chuckled softly, feeling a bit nerdy but not caring too much*
