Walking into the Outlook, I look around at the occupants and nod to them.

Ave everyone.

I sit down at a couch and let a sigh of relaxation.

I incline my head, and giggle softly

Milady..? I am intrigued as to your word choice. I am hardly a lady... a wink.. in most cases. And it is nice to see you DW, I am glad to see you settling in.

She blushes and turns from the railing of the balcony, glancing at the now three ladies and one man in the room with her. She shyly smiles and half-waves, keeping very small gestures, confined, further personifying her shyness.

"Hello." she manages, lowering her chin a little, and looking over her glasses; she isnt sure of whom to look at. "I'm sorry... My name is Kay... well, that's what people call me, at least... or OI, whichever is... most appropriate..." her head falls, curls tumbling and bouncing against her temples and high cheek bones. "pleasure to meet you," she speaks to the floor.

CG's coffee? A good thing I have him put creamer in.

Her cheeks turn a fiery red at the mention of Glad.

"I have been enjoying his company as well, Milady Thyri. I fear I helped to keep him up late last night and he had places to be this evening," she scrunches her nose up slightly, "he does speak of you rather fondly. It tells of deep friendship and trust.

As for the lady here, I would love to but she wandered in, has not spoken since and has not introduced herself. She seems to be rather shy as well."

It is true. Gladiator and I are good friends, and we've tried to help each other through whatever life throws at us. We chat on Yahoo almost every night, even when we are spending time together at the Inn or here in the Outlook.

*Turning to the newcomer, I step nearer, offering a smile, extending a hand.*

I'm Annisthyrienne, but my friends call me Thyri (Teery). I've seen you around the lounges before, but we haven't met. I'd be pleased if you were counted among the friends who call me 'Thyri.'

My time will be short here, but I was drawn and had to stop in to one of my favorite spots. Appearing my chair, I chuckle lightly to myself.

Afternoon Thryi, DW and OI.. I trust you are all well.

Bien sur... appear and my staff places a drink in my hand. I must pay them well. I smile over to the ladies.

*Stepping over to her chair, I lean down for a hug.*
Bon soir, Ausus. It's nice to see you again.

Hello Ave.. nice to see you. Nice revamp on the AV.

And Kay, you need not be so bashful, we don't bite. Well.. most of us don't. In any case, please make yourself comfortable.

"Now Kay, that wasn't so hard, was it? Come now, lift that pretty head of yous so we can see who we are talking to. I am Caitlin or Cait or even DW if you like. This is Milady Thryi," a small teasing grin there, " and this is our gracious hostess, Lady Aus, as I call her."

I incline my head, and giggle softly

"Ah but Lady Aus, we are all Ladies or Miladies until it's time not to be.";)

Good Evening, Avellan. I hope the evening finds you well?

I return Thryi's soft hug.

Darlin. I wanted to congratulate you on your Mistress. Congrats to you both.

I nod to those in the room.

I must take my leave, but enjoy your time here, and I will see you all later.

A blown kiss and a giggle and I am gone.

She too steps nearer, extending a slightly shaking hand; she is quite aware that her finger tips are cold to the touch: it often happens in first meeting someone.

"Nice to meet you Thyri; I've seen you around as well, and I would be honored to be considered a friend and have privilage to call you by your nickname," she says softly.

And Kay, you need not be so bashful, we don't bite. Well.. most of us don't. In any case, please make yourself comfortable.

She turns to Ausus and lets her guard down a little; giggling at her comment, and nodding.

"I AM awefully shy, one of my Flaws, I suppose..." she says, turning back to Cait. "But, no... it wasn't too terribly difficult."

Her eyes shifted back to Ausus as she bids ado, then eyes shift to Avellan. She aught to introduce herself to him, but she lingers behind, slightly behind Cait and slightly in front of Thyri.

Hello Avellan.

You are shy around strangers, Kay? Well, we've introduced ourselves now, so we are no longer strangers.

I return Thryi's soft hug.

Thank you. I'm quite happy with Mistress Pen, not so much with her internet provider though. But she's worth waiting for. :rose:

She manages a smile again, looking back to Thyri. "Good point," she laughs, though there are still lingering 'what if I's' bouncing around her constantly reeling mind.

Would you like anything, Kay? The staff here is the best. Ausus made sure of that.

*A gesture brings a waitress carrying a tray with a tall tankard of my favorite: chilled hard cider.

She thinks about it a moment, then nods.
"A Rum Runner would be nice... heavy handed on the blackberry brandy..."

* a nod to the waitress sends her off to retrieve the drink. Meanwhile, I gesture to a nearby lounge seat overlooking the ocean, near the rail.

Why don't we sit down and make ourselves more comfortable. You can tell me a little about yourself. I've noticed that your postings always seem so romantic, rather a wistful quality, it seemed like to me.

She smiled, though her eyes reflected another emotion, as she sat down on the seat.

"Yes, well... I'm a hopeless romantic..." she admitted. "I like to play the extremes when speaking of love... its a beautiful thing, or its a hopeless thing... I've only experienced the tragic side; So, I suppose my experiences weigh heavy when I write... I tend to put a lot of myself in my writing..." She shrugged shyly; she had never really spoken about herself before... what else could she say?

"I must admit, I haven't read much of your writing... I have seen you around the lounge, mind, but... I don't often read everyone's SRPs or threads." She giggled. "I suppose I might want to, if I'm ever going to find another writing partner."

"Avellan, this is Kay. She's new to the lounge apparently and shy as well. Kay, this is Avellan."

She nodded politely at the gentleman.

"Nice to meet you," she called from the perch she shared with Thyri.

Getting up I walk over to Kay, smile at her, and bow my head.

Ave Kay. It`s always good to meet someone new to the lounge. If you need anything, I`ll be happy to help.

She looks into his face, not something she does often, and smiles.

"Thank you," she says through her smile; she feels her cheeks reddening. "I'll keep that in mind."

So, Looking around at everyone what were we taking about? I forgot.

Well, it is best to know what your potential partner's writing style is before you commit to a story. I suspect you're like me, you probably don't want to let down your co-writers, so you probably don't like to let the story drop. The trouble is, if you don't know in advance, you can end up partnered with someone who just isn't compatible.

As for my own stories, I enjoy the fantasy genre, and usually like exploring differences between races or cultures and how it affects the intimacy between two characters thrown together.
