My guess is that it's something to do with the musical rights. They're probably USA only. Try going here. That's Katy Perry's official site. The first song that comes up is "I Kissed a Girl," which is what The Sassy One linked to.

There is a link to the video, as well, but it just links back to YouTube, so that won't help.

you realize that Radio Free Jezebel is the grandmother of this thread. a set and discussion on the Purple One got us started talking about sex. that spawned a survey, and ultimately the Naked thread. horny poets tend to like music to accompany their romps, which got me thinking, we could use a soundtrack for all that nakedness. which landed us here.

p.s. i always wanted to know where the title for the Jezebel thread came from. cracked me up the first time i saw it. the bible immediately came to mind, oh, the irony. hence my amusement.

I am very proud to have inspired something like this.

Radio Free Jezebel has several sources. Without going too far into my particular neuroses, I'll just say that the name Jezebel was being thrown at me, in a negative way, very early on in my life. And yes, it was quite biblical in origin. So I had to reclaim it, and one way I did was by making what were basically mixtapes for friends, a whole series that had that name as a main title. Some were fuck-to collections, some were other things.

So when I decided I wanted to hear not just songs, but sets from the people in here, it was a natural choice.

There are several original "Radio Free Jezebel" collections on CD. ONe of these days I'll actually find all the songs and put them up in here. I think the best was called "Cognolicious" and it was pretty diverse. It was designed to make smart people horny.

I think on occasion it worked, even.

Oh man, yeah, she is indeed gorgeous in that one. If only the song didn't make me want to bitch slap Michael Stipes, I'd watch it a lot more often.
