The Search For Mecca OOC

I should really really stop assuming random things that pop into my head are common knowledge.

Copy paste time!

The armor has active camouflage systems that, when activated, generate a modulating field that transmits the reflected light from one side of an object to the other, making a person much harder to notice (but not completely invisible).

Anyways, I'm off for now. Things to be done.

Evening, ladies.

Just to confirm, our unit was a platoon, consisting of about 30 to 50 soldiers, right? Or was it a company, consisting of several platoons?

Dangit. I was hoping that unit was an actual set number of troops. Darn you, wiki!

lol kinda why i used the term, so we can dictate the size ourselves.

It might make more sense for something like the size of a platoon of company to be left behind. With anything bigger, one would think they would have waited a bit longer to get the rest. *shrugs*

Well, the reason why I asked was because the size of the unit determines the highest rank present. A platoon would have a lieutenant, while a company would have a captain.

lol ok well you guys get technical about it :p. I'm gonna go sleep my blonde head.

Heck, to make the situation more desperate it could have been something like a regiment and slowly has been slowly whittled down until this ambush that took down a decent chunk, along with the commanding Colonel.

bleh i cant sleep. you guys done all my responsibilitizing for me yet?

Well, can I join the party, or am I being left by the door to dry?

Oh, hello Qyron. Good thing you spoke up, I had a feeling that Serowyn had completely forgotten about you.

*looks down* kinda about half way he could get in deeper...OH you mean the thread... hmm i have no problems with him joining.

However i am wondering why soldiers are carrying around emergency medical kits. Is that standard issue in the military? And I didn't forget I just never noticed him in the first place. :p sorry :(

....I don't want to know what prompted that first line.

As for med kits, soldiers are typically issued a first aid kit, usually containing tape, gauze, bandages and maybe a couple of items that a solider could use on himself. Items like morphine, needles and thread, and other near surgical items are the property of the field medic.

lol k i'll be good.. Since i've forsaken sleep i'm going to post now unless someone else has started one. So we're going with demolished regiment? Unknown numbers left alive?

In Portugal, the Recon, Assault and Commando units have assigned each trooper a small emergency medical kit. I used what I know, but it can go away...
