He manned the oars, ”I want you to sit facing me, I want to just look at you, find a place we can be alone.“ It was a calm day, ducks and birds and fish were the only other living things on the lake. Doug Kept the boar moving and it wasn’t long until they were beyond the point as he curved in toward the shore.

There was a perfect, small, beach, and as near as Doug could tell, no one would be able to see them, but he didn’t really care. He had been watching his fiance, her beautiful face, her smile, her long gorgeous legs, and her body in her painted on dress, he wanted to celebrate their engagement, and he wanted to celebrate it now!

Autumn smiled at the painting it was perfect to her and she was happy for it ."I love it, im going to hang this up in my place baby" she said happily as he said it was their day. She knew what she had planned tonight, a dance, something she promised to now only do in privacy and she knew that they would like what she did.

They walked hand in hand to the rowboat and he asked the operator for a boat. She chuckled softly as the man suggested giving them a romance basket and suggested places they could privacy eyeing her and the telling Doug he was a lucky man and she smiled as well knowing she was just as lucky finding a man who loved her despite all she had been through.

He helped her in and faced opposite so he could operate the oars and she admired the beauty and privacy of the lake. "This is beautiful baby, I'm so happy to be yours " she said softly as the two admired the beauty of the lake.

They found a small beach and he rowed the boat onto it as they approached and she helped him pull it up so it wouldn't float anywhere.

She smirked seeing how he was eyeing her and she knew what was on his mind " Do you want to set up right here Doug.. or a little further down?" She smirked knowing what the two of them would be up to to celebrate.

"I love it, im going to hang this up in my place baby" Doug smiled at first, and then frowned. “I’m happy you like it Babe, but YOUR place, doesn’t feel right anymore. I think we need to talk with Kelly, and think about some changes. I want to handle it with the girls just right, but I want this to be our house, our bedroom, every bit or more than it is Kelly’s and I think she might be okay with that too, as long as we have this ”new” relationship.

It was something to thint about, and he would really prefer to stop sneaking behind the girls back, as they now had two mommies and in most ways, Autumn was already more of a day to day mother and caregiver than Kelly had ever been or hadn any desire to ever be again.

Rowing the boat across the small lake and finding the alcove the boat master suggested was easy. “I’d like to spend more lazy days like this. I was even thinking of us getting a lake house were we could spend much of the summer and weekends, teach the girls to water ski and fish and just enjoy time away, would you like that?”

They found the alcove and pulled the boat up. “Let’s go further down, someplace private.” They found a perfect place, and Doug spread out a huge blanket. He was standing on his knees when he held his hand out to Autumn, “I am so glad we could just have a day like this, I know waht you’re thinking and I would never turn down a chance to make love ot you, but if we just spend today, holding each other, kissing and watching the clouds float by, that is okay too.

Doug helped her to lay down besid him, and then, he leaned on one elbow and looked down on her. He ran his hand through her hair, and just looked down and enjoyed his gorgeous fiance. “I know all of this has gone very fast, and I am making a lot of assumptions, but please don’t let me get ahead of myself. I want a life with you our life, and I want to know what you are thinking and what do you want?”

Autumn smiled when he mentiined her place didnt sound right anymore now that she was with himand that they needed to talk to Kelly about a few changes and work out how to explain it to the girls but he wanted her to be in the house and for them to share it together. She knew it would be a process but if it would make them all happy she was willing to take the steps with him.

She watched as he Doug lay out the comfortable blanket for them and she smiled softly when he offered her his hand for her to join him and sat down on the blanket beside him.

"I am so glad we could just have a day like this, I know waht you’re thinking and I would never turn down a chance to make love ot you, but if we just spend today, holding each other, kissing and watching the clouds float by, that is okay too." He told her

" I think us spending the day enjoying each others company is just fine Doug, we have plentyof time and opportunity to enjoy each other and celebrate tonight" she said and lay back.

She looked up at him and smiled as he ran his hand through her hair gently and she listened as he spoke and leaned up giving him a soft kiss " I know this process wont be an instant one baby, i know how people will look at me or us and possibly think Ii came and ruined your marriage if they find out, but.. i think we just have to take things one step at a time, first by explaining the girls so they arent confused along the line since we've talked with Kelly already, and when were ready to let everyone know, ill leave that up to you and Kelly whether you decide it is a polygamist or open marriage or if you two truly decide to divorce , either way, were a family now, and we"ll deal with it all together."

It would be tricky to figure out exactly how to explain it to the girls, let alone if knowledge and speculation of their unique, relationship became known. The last thing he wanted to do was hurt the girls, but he knew that Autumn being a true mother to them made all the sense in the world.

Not as a substitute or replacement for Kelly, but the nurturing caring loving woman that Autumn naturally was, and the girls longed for. It was funny, Doug was quite certain that Kelly would not object, she was not comfortable in being soft and nurturing but Doug was pretty certain that she felt guilty about it and would appreciate Auturn giving the girls what they deserved.’

So as they laid on the blanket Doug took her hand.”Then good, let’s simply enjoy our picnic, and some time with just us!“ They laid out their lunch, there was fried chicken, cheese and crackers, some strawberries and chocolate, and a bottle of wine and wine glasses. The boat master had seemingly thought of everything. This must be a popular place for couples to enjoy a romantic moment.

Doug appreciated how patient she was, “Thank you, but I am more impatient than you, I need you in my life and so do the girls, every day and every night!” Doug leaned in, giving her soft kisses, one after another, simply enjoying sharing this moment.

They had eaten nearly all their lunch, and Doug refilled their wine glasses, only to move closer to Autumn and put his arm around her. “I have to say, I am really looking forward to seeing you dance tonight, have you thought about it, do you like the idea of actually dancing for a man you love?” Doug then laughe, “And his wife?”

Autumn smiled softly as he lay the food out for them and helped him with pouring the wine while he plated some food for them. She was surprised t how well packed the basket was and she was happy to get some alone time with him just the two of them.

They shared soft kisses feeding each other strawberries and she felt her heart warm hearing Doug mention his urgency for needing her in his life and she blushed loving him even more from it.

Before Doug and the girls, Autumn really only had herself and had survived on her own without experiencing genuine love now that she had that with him she would prove to him all the time that their risk was worth taking.

She chuckled as he mentioned her performance tonight and she knew she would put on a show they wouldn't forget " I am looking forward to it, I know you'll enjoy every second of it baby" she grinned knowing what she had in mind .
