Doug knew what he wanted, but he would need Kelly’s cooperation. They would need to explain to the girls how they had two mothers in their lives, and how it meant they were loved even more. Doug thought it might even take some of the pressure and guilt away from Kelly, so that she could enjoy the girls more.

Given that he and Autumn agreed to have Kelly in their life and in their bad, perhaps they could get divorced and have Kelly move out to the guest house, or they could, or… he chuckled, he was getting ahead of himself, he needed to just enjoy the moment and being in love with an incredible woman who, for some reason, loved him just as much!

Doug didn’t really know enough about Autumn’s history, only how it had pushed her to strip to survive, but he wanted to learn more, he wanted her to feel safe and loved, and make sure his daughters always felt that way too.

They fed each other the berries and drank the wine, sliced the cheese and simply enjoyed the moment. “When is the last time you took a vacation? What if we took the girls someplace special… or just went ourselves… I was thinking Europe, maybe some time on the Greek isles?”

Doug smiled as Autumn told him he would enjoy the show. “I am looking forward to it… Although I think Kelly may be even more… but let’s have fun with it.. let’s have fun with everything!”

Doug knew there were a million issues, and things might get complicated, but he didn’t care. He felt like the luckiest man in the world, and couldn’t wipe the smile from his face. They spent a long while lying and kissing, nothing more, just enjoying being this close and alone.

Autumn could tell Doug was thinking hard about some things in his head and smiled gently as they few each other. She was surprised when he asked when the last time she took a vacation and blushed a little embarrassed she hadn't actually been on a proper one since she was in her early teens , she had worked most of her life she never really took time off to relax .

"The closest I've had to a vacation in a while is when I drove out to California to see the view at Pfeiffer National Park ...I haven't been slot of places but I'm sure the girls would love that , we could also vacation together alone somewhere too for a few days id actually love that too baby I've never been to Greece " she smiled seeing Doug's excitement

She knew they had things to overcome nd millions of things to experience together and she couldn't wait for all of them as they grew together. They spent time talking, kissing and enjoying their alone time before he told her how much he loved her and she told him the same " I love you too baby I'm so happy to have you in my life Doug" she said softly

They relaxed a little more before he asked if she was ready and she nodded gently knowing they had a night ahead of them and discussions to make and she kissed his cheek " Yes baby let's go...we have a few things to do tonight " she said and was happy for their moments alone

Autumn was sweet, thinking of the girls and not herself. “We wil take the girls plenty, but I think you deserve a real honeymoon don’t you? I know I want to take you on one.” He leaned in kissing her. It was so like Autumn to put everyone ahead of herself, and he loved that, but this once, he wanted her to be selfish, let her have the experience she deserved.

They spent more time, but before they left he needed to take a minute. “Babe, I know this is the most unconventional relationship possible, but I really need you to know, I could not love you any more or want a woman to be my wife, my love, my everything. There is not a moment when I’m with you, think about you, or watch you, that I don’t feel I am the luckiest man in the world.”

He rowed them back across the small lake, and they held hands. He wondered how Kelly might respond, but actually thought she would be happy. She actually had the relationship she wanted, even with the girls, where she almost wanted to be more Aunt than Mother, the girls Were lucky to have two mothers, but it was really Autumn who would give them the nurturing and care they needed.

As for tonight, if Doug were honest he was looking forward to watching Autumn’s performance and the play they would engage in, as much as Kelly was.
