The Taveler {Closed}

"Oh." Penny blushed realizing her mistake. "Sorry. Do you think she'd mind if I asked?" She asked him.

“I was just shushing you Penny. Mamma has all the help she need. I thought you said you would help me in the restaurant. You changed your mind?” he asked her.

They walked inside and they were met by Mamma Jimena. “Good morning Matt I see you have a lady with you, is this your new lady, she sure is a lovely one.” She said smiling at her.

“I’m Mamma Jimena, welcome to my place.” She said

"Oh, no! I still want to work for you!" Penny clarified. "It's just that...well, I do want to learn how to cook too."

Mamma Jimena was a dear. She felt like...a mother. Penny had never known her mother, so she was feeling a little attachment to the old lady even before she knew her. "Thank you, Mamma Jimena. I'm Penny. Matt, I guess, is the only friend I have around these parts."

"Oh, no! I still want to work for you!" Penny clarified. "It's just that...well, I do want to learn how to cook too." She said to him.

“You’re not going to learn how to cook by making just pancake, that’s why they call this the pancake house.” He told her grinning.

"Thank you, Mamma Jimena. I'm Penny. Matt, I guess, is the only friend I have around these parts." She said to Mamma Jimena.

“I must said Penny you know how pick them, he sure is a good friend to have. I would hang on to him if I were you.” She told her.

"I guess I'm finding out just how lucky I am, Mamma Jimena." Penny smiled at her as the woman led them to their seats.

"So...what's your specialty pancake? I'll have that."

Matt wished Mamma as he calls her, didn’t say anything about a good friend he was. Penny had made a much more impact on him, and after seen her all naked what he felt the first he saw her quadrupled.

"I guess I'm finding out just how lucky I am, Mamma Jimena." Penny replied. Matt felt a little self-conscious when she said that. Mamma showed them to their table.

"So...what's your specialty pancake? I'll have that." Penny said as soon as they sat down.

“I’ll Have the strawberry Jimena,” Matt said looking at Penny.

"Strawberry?" Penny's eyebrows rose. "I didn't expect that."

Soon their food came and she couldn't help but give out a growling moan. "This is so good! I swear I've never had pancakes like these!" It could be because there were hardly any chemicals used around these years, but still...it was amazing!

"Strawberry?" she said and Matt looked at her. "I didn't expect that." she added and Matt realize it was not a common thing that far ahead in the future. He wanted to ask why she was surprised having strawberry pancake, but then they couldn’t talk about the future in front of Jimena.

"This is so good! I swear I've never had pancakes like these!" She said and Matt thought he better say something.

“Maybe it’s because no one makes strawberry pancakes like Jimena, so now you know where to go for the best pancakes.” He told her.

"Oh I do!" Penny sighed. "I'm going to miss these when I get back."

She wasn't losing any hope that she'd return to her own time, but so far, she was enjoying her stay. With great food and great company, not to mention he was hot, she was having an amazing time. But of course, there was work back home and nothing to do here. At least nothing challenging that she could set her sights on.

"Oh I do!" Penny sighed. "I'm going to miss these when I get back." She said and he felt a slight pain in his chest when she said that. Matt was slowly falling for her and the idea that she would disappear one day really hurt.

“I know I’m going to missed you terribly Penny,” he told her avoiding looking into her eyes, but there was nothing he could about it. She had every right to get to her homeland.
