The Time of Dragons, an Magic.. OCC.....

Greetings everyone,

Just a head's up, I will be out of town and away from the computer for the next two weeks. If anybody wants to, I have left it so that players can go visit Draconia's character in her room, so she doesn't get locked up and ignored until I get back. (cause that wouldn't be cool)

I am locked in my room like a naughty girl?? I hope they've got cable..... :)

Have a good journey Mantra....see you when you return.

Well, I'm fairly limited in ideas. Gar is unavailable right now, but Valanthe is up for conversation for anyone who is still awake and not in a room...

OK everyone...

A Question for you and all you who may be lurking behind the scenes. UNfortunatly, Lady Fairy, who I planned some of the main events around, is not likely to return any time soon. Many of the players have wandered away or contributed little, then wandered away. For myself, I have been experiencing some rough weeks and my time to post is limited. Basically, I don't want to waste my time on a stroyline that is going nowhere.

I am willing to commit the time to the game and yes, I have a plot idea...several in fact, assuming we can get the ball rolling. So my question to you all is;

Do we continue with the game or let it fall?

I've just been kind of lurking to see if things would continue. If everyone else decides to let this one go let me just say thank you for letting a novice like myself play along and for making my first foray into this sort of adventure a pleasurable one.

Dracona
:rose:

Let it fall?

Surely thou dost jest.

However, it is not up to me...I have been sticking with O'Bonn for the long haul, such a complex and powerful character, and the story continues to unfold rather well, I think.

If you guys want to drop it, then I've no choice. However, I would much prefer to see how things go by continuing the story.

I would be very much opposed to the idea of droppage. However, my contribution may appear less as I am in the UK, and am not always available to post at the same time, or as frequently, as others

Good to hear from you three.

Don't get me wrong, I rather like the story too. I'm tired of making good villans and plots only to see the story end before ever even encountering them... *sigh*

Anyway, we once had eight posters and now we're down to 3... I wish we could get a few more to round out the party. But I'm willing to keep posting so long as there are people to post for.

And BTW Scheech, don't worry, I'm here in the UK too :)

Ok, just so you all know, I've done a refence picture for both Valanthe and Garfield. However, only Valanth is ready as of yet, so here's a like to her image

Valanthe Nailo

I kinda mucked up a bit on the mouth...

Ok! Here's one of the famed Garfield Thelonius Remmington the Third!

Hey! I guess it's still ok. It's kinda slowed a little bit. If you need any advice or pointers, or anything, just give one of us a shout, k?

Name: Draken

Age: 21

Race:One Half Drow, One quarter Human and One quarter Elven

Appearence:Standing 6' in height, Draken is muscular but not overly so as his elven and drow blood do not allow him to bulk up as most humans can. He is lookes like he has a darker then normal tan, thanks in part to his drow blood. His eyes are unusual in the fact that during the day, they appear black but yet at night they appear golden in color. He has a hyponotic stare that is rivieting and holds his audience captive with a single look.

Class:Ranger/Warlock

Weapons: Dual Falcions, three curved daggers one of which is a jagged ritual dagger, a five foot longbow and quizer ful of razor tipped and barb tipped arrows.

Attire: Lightweight black mirthal scalemail, long black cloak

Damn it, damn it, damn it! Ya'll've carried this thread for 5 months, and I want you to keep going! I wanna hear what the Matriarch has to say, and to see what happens to Gar and the ogre! Come on guys, game on...please

I'd really hate to see the plot fizzle, I was having such fun even though I am quite green at this sort of thing. I'm wondering if perhaps a synopsis of what has happened so far and the characters who are still in could be written and posted in the casting call thread, see if we can drum up some new blood. We have one already...welcome Bladesman. What do you think fellows?

Great drawings, by the way, Screech!

Ask and ye shall recieve...

The current players:

Idrial (Our leader)
age 24
race. Half/Elf.
class.. Hunter
hight 5ft, 4in
weght 110 lbs

Hair long blue black in color braided down her back, her eyes amber in color, an hour glass athletic like figure from using a sword and bow. Ears only slightly pointed, fair of face, breasts slightly larger than a handfull, dressed in studded brown leather ranger armor.

Name: O'Bonn
Age: 537
Race: Elf

Description: standing well over six feet tall, O'Bonn is lithe and muscular. His amber eyes compliment his bronze-colored skin. O'Bonn keeps his straw-colored hair pulled back into a tail. He wears a blood-colored swordsman's shirt with the worn, deep brown leather pants of a fighter. He typically wears a shirt of darkened Elven mail, with steel bracers on his arms. He wears the leather and steel boots of the High Elven Warrior. O'Bonn's weapons include a longbow, with which he is uncannily deadly, and a single-edged scimitar, which is a favored weapon of the High Elven Warriors. Like all Elves, O'Bonn is keenly tuned with nature, and uses magic to some degree.
O'Bonn is captain of the Royal Guard to his Majesty King M'Rhun of the High Elven Nation. He is their finest warrior, and as such, is often sent on quests with allies of the Nation.

Name: Garfield Thelonius Remmington the fourth (Gar)
Age: 32
Race: Warewolf
Profession: Priest
Gear: Heavilly enchanted steel breastplate, greaves and vambraces. Heavy spiked mace "fear". Long hooded cloak

Garfield is a bit of an abberation for a warewolf. Being one who can't switch between forms, but instead remains man-wolf is the most noticable. Those who do not flee at first sight of him (often leaving their moneypouches behind) soon find another abberation. He's a coward. A powerful coward, but still with quite a yellow streak. This doesn't stop him from wandering around and going after money wherever it is. The final thing most notice about Gar is that, if they manage to keep him around long enough is that he has quite an advanced spell repetoir that only just falls short of being able to raise the newly dead.
Of course, being a coward, he tends to use spells of healing on himself first...

Name: Ona
Age: Uncertain, mid to late twenties
Race: to all appearances human
Powers: Telekinesis, telepathy and pyrokenisis. Powers manifest uncontrolled when she is upset or when she tries to remember what happened to bring her to her current situation.
Description: tall and willowy but with well defined muscles apparently from years of physical labor. Long dark brown hair with subtle reddish undertones that glow softly when she is using her powers. Crystal blue eyes with a darker blue ring around the outer iris and flecks of silver sprinkled througout.
Background: Unknown....she doesn't know where she comes from or what has happened to her. She found herself wandering the forest wearing torn and bloody clothing, her body bruised and aching although the blood on her clothes did not belong to her. Now she lives a hermits life, alone in the forest

Attire: Lightweight black mithral scalemail, long black cloak

Featuring; Mantra as everyone else and the StoryTeller.

A brief summary:

Our heroine, Idrial, has rescued a young boy named Rhys, whose village was completely and most brutally savaged. With Rhys being the only survivor, Idrial has taken on the role of protector for him. Meanwhile, her path has been crossed by O'Bonn, the elvish warrior, who, sencing evil afoot, has proposed that they take the boy to see the egnmatic and mysterious dragon Matriarch, Thorn in her mountanous Lair. Others are drawn to the group, some for fun, some for gold but all seem wound together in their journies.
Along the way are many trials and tribulations as the group faces treachery and uncertanty from within, undead, ogers and the canine wolven from without. Yet behind them all, lies a mysterious and hidden puppetmaster who still lurks out of sight. Now with the aid of Thorn and her dragon-kin, a Prophecy is revealed and new plots unfold, yet for all the wisdom offered, the mysteries only deepen as Idrial and her friends find themselves in the center of a millenia-old blood feud, facing a murderous enemy as wicked and decietful as anything they could possibly imagine.....
Idrial herself has yet to be tested as a true leader while her allies each have their own challenges and mysteries to unravel....and this is only the beginning.......

And so, stalwart reader, do YOU have what it takes to enter into a Time of Dragons and Magic???

Some of my rules....

Greetings everyone,

Since I'm gonna be the 'official' StoryTeller and Idrial's player has finally returned, I'd like to set a few ground rules for the story.

-- First and formost, HAVE FUN! It's why we're all here. :D

-- We have had a great many drive-by posters. I would hope that some of these posters might come back to us, but I doubt it. Still, if any character is abandoned, they become mine to do with as I see fit. As a word of warning, NPC's have a nasty tendency to die in order to advance the story plot.

-- I am a big believer in 'Action/Reaction'. By all means, do what you want, act and play as your character would, but if you're playing a wacky, meglo-maniac who loves to get drunk and beat up the town guards, then don't be surprised if you find your character scheduled to be hanging from the gallows come dawn. Yes, you can die in my games. If you act the fool and tempt Fate, then you may find that Fate is a mean bitch who has little problem turning you into worm-food.

-- I do not believe in 'No-Win scenarios', there is always a way out, an answer, a means to an end. I will challenge you, but I will not exterminate you. As a reminder, if you put yourself in a bad way, then the way out might be very bad...or lethal.

-- 'Splatable characters'; This is an old RP term I picked up and loved. :) A designated splatable character can be killed by anyone, by whatever means. Currently splatable minions are the dwarves and commoners in Thorn's commune, the wolven, undead, ogres and the like. Currently only Rhys, Thorn, and her dragon kin cannot be killed without permission. Likewise, a played character is protected as well, but henchmen, hirelings and beasts are all fair game. If another protected minion comes about, I will post it in the OOC thread.

-- I am also a fan of 'secret stuff'. If anyone wants to have private messages or do something sneaky, then PM me with your questions, actions, etc. Who knows what might come about.

-- Good vs. Evil: I show no bias or favoritism. If the 'heroes' goof up hugely, then the bad guys just might win the day...Action/Reaction, remember. This is especially true if there are players on the 'bad guys' side.

What do you all think?

Once or twice maybe. Really though, I suck. :D

Welcome aboard if you're coming in.

Greetings everyone,

I'm sure you've all noticed my posting becoming more and more sporatic and finally, almost non-existant. Here's why;

A few of you know what I do in the real world. For those who don't, I am a Sgt in the American Air Force. My team has been called up and so, it's time for me to go to war. Needless to say, I won't be posting much, if at all for a time. Even if where I'm going has internet access, Lit is an adult website and so would be banned from government computers.

No, I'm not leaving just this moment, but...soon.
