The Van Helsing Group

Eep!!! I said I'd have Mikhail's bio up tonight... I'm sorry!! Shit ran late at work tonight so I'll post in the morning. I promise!!!

Don't fret, Dreamer, take the time you need.

I myself am having a brutally long and hard weekend at work right now myself, and am feeling really too exhausted to post much here right now, but I've read everyone's responses in the IC and must say you've all done fantastic starts to your characters.

And I've now posted the intro for Aleena and Anthony, though it took me a while, I can't seem to spell very well when I'm this beat, amd I'm too much of a perfectionits to to leave a post I know is misspleled alone. So on that note I hope everyone enjoys the thread, and I'll try to post more tomorrow after work. Good night.

There is a matter that I am not quite clear on. When Alexei transforms into a werewolf, what happens, exactly? Does he go on an insane rampage? Does he simply transform physically? Or is it a mix of both?

Ok, so I have both bio's up, and I've posted for both.

Hope to interact with you all soon.

Name: Mikhail Karazov
Species: Werewolf
Age: 26
Appearance: About 6’5, finely built, dark brown hair that falls to his shoulders-- normally pulled back into a neat ponytail--, brown eyes, strong Russian jaw structure.

History: Being the oldest son to Russian noble, Mikhail was heir to the Karazov state. Since the age of seven, he had taken it upon himself to help out his family, as well as looking out for his younger brother. When the Germans broke through the Motherland’s walls, he was quick to go to battle. He left family, their home, and state, behind in the hands of his brother, Alexei, until he could return to take back the responsibility.

Not to long into the war while on a patrol, Mikhail ran across a man. Assuming it was a German, he went in to strike, only to be struck down instead. The man seemed please to have found Mikhail and, after driving him into unconsciousness, took him away from the battlefield. He awoke days later not as he was, his brown hair was longer-- and to say the least, all over the place-- his senses were boosted, and his mind only wanting one thing… the feeling of flesh between his teeth.

Count Dracula had taken him off the battlefield and made him stronger and more vicious. Dracula had made him to a beast. He was told he was now a servant to the Count and his wives. Forever doing their bidding during the daylight hours, and being the Count’s warrior during the full moon.

News of the war had reached him while he during his basic errands, the battle was reaching his homeland, the people did not want to follow their leader. Before that day he had thought little of his family and home-- as the Count had trained him to do so-- but with that news, his concern grew rapidly. Mikhail left his master the following night, returning to the Motherland. What he found was his peoples homes burning to the ground, the fires set by their owners. His family had been slaughtered and all that remained of the Karazov family was Alexei, the youngest. He did as his instincts told him to do, kill. He murdered the ones that were once under his ruling and saved his brother.

Mikhail knew he couldn’t stay with his brother, for the Count would soon be looking for him, and the Count was not someone you could easily run from. He said his good-byes and gave his brother the gift of Lycanthropy, hoping that it would keep the young boy alive for just a while longer.

Dracula was outraged by Mikhail’s disobedience and punished him greatly for it. His work became harder. He lost he bed he once slept in, and most of the food he once ate. Count Dracula had begun to treat him like the animal he was. But soon the hardship died down, and Mikhail had grown a liking to the them, becoming more than a slave but a companion. He became the Count’s right hand man, and a personal bodyguard to the wives. While slowly he learned to control the best inside him.

Weaknesses: Silver, touching it will burn the skin, allowing it in the blood stream would kill him. Also, Verona's nagging voice... causing headaches and nausea which in turn make it hard to focus.

Strengths: Large in size, thus causing fear in most. As a wolf, he has unbeatable power and speed. As a human he uses swords mostly in battle. Angered easily when his Lord and/or Ladies are threatened.

For Dracula's group: How do you see this dinner party at the Walcott's home going?

Will there be blood shed? If so, I have a way to ruin dinner. :D And no, it won't be Verona.

One word: Cat.

Hooray for a day off! Finally!

Good bio, Dreamer, you're approved, a little retroactively, but that's okay you're post as Mikhail was good and I really liked the chemistry you put between Verona and Mikhail.

As for the Walcott's do what would come naturally to Drac and his wives, they are there for dinner after all. Although I would think Count V is the one in which should have the honors of springing the surprise on them, and just in case he does have some business to conduct with the banker.

As for what Alexei and Mikhail are like during the full moon...since the vamps have the powers seen in the classic Bram Stoker novel, Dracula...I was thinking it would be appropriate that the werewolves would have the classic powers of the old Universal monster movies...though a way around that if you don't want to do the whole monster in a cage routine for a night is to say Alexei can control the beast through some sort of meditative technique or maybe through Gretchen's aid. I think her thing with animals would work on the wolf in Alexei.

Yes, I was sort of waiting till the count posted. I feel it would rude to eat fore him

Mind you we could have fun with the bankers wife..may be a little tease or two lol

Seeing how Alexei is probably the closest to "losing it" of the two brothers, almost becoming an oversized wolf more than a human/wolf hybrid, chances are that Gretchen can pacify him, yes...

I am cleaning out old threads in preparation for September.

Question? Are we done here?

If the Count reappears and you decide to restart please count me in :rose:

This would have been lots of fun had it continued ...sob!

I think this incarnation didn't work, but I'm currently thinking on a modern variation of the VHG. So if anyone is still interested PM me and perhaps we can recreate this thread together.
