The Who am I game

Definitely the woman behind the man.
Creator of and the object of his art.

Hey guys! I'm so glad someone picked up the ball that I dropped. Many apologies. I'm usually lousy at these sorts of things. It took me ages to come up with a riddle but I finally have one, I think.

I'll save it for the next lull, if that's OK?

It's actually still your turn on the Where-am-I-thread, this is the Who-am-I-thread. :)

Karin Bergoo.

Grez-sur-Loing was a definite clue.

Correct! She's more known under her married name Karin Larsson and her artistic symbiosis with her husband. Textile artist, furniture designer, decorator...

I find a lot of her work beautiful. Also interesting from a gender perspective; what space and opportunities for expression this man and woman had. And what was valued?

Well, well...

You're up, Chauderlos! :)

Any chance that this is the famed Kiki de Montparnasse, lover of Man Ray?

Good grief, an oyster got the riddle. And PDQ too!

And for those into high-end lingerie, the namesake Kiki de Montpanasse store is a fun bit of eye candy...although a bit hard on the wallet. :(

Congrats, Yanks! Your turn... :rose:

It was a wild guess based on having looked at a few pictures of her recently. To be candid, I'd just as soon let someone else set up the next riddle.

Um, sorry, that is against the rules.

You have to post the next riddle. You can do it....really you can!

The (admittedly, self-proclaimed, but-no-one-has-argued Queen, has spoken).

You insisted. I complied. You can see how much I enjoy compliance for the sake of compliance. :p

However, the rules were obvious before you posted your response. And you've played this game before.

I have absolutely zero sympathy.

So there.

As the Queen, I should really insist that you resubmit another, more appropriate entry. But right now, dinner awaits. I will contemplate next steps while dining.

An oyster...an oyster!
