Okay here's one that backfired on me many years ago. In 2001/2002, one of my young sons approached me saying that he'd heard that a sequel to the first X-Men film was coming out. I'd recently seen the online trailer and decided to show them. Back then, you could type in www._____.com and likely find the site you're looking for.

What I found at www.xmen2.com was not what I expected. Thanks to some quick mouse work, we only got a glimpse of the website but it was enough. "Daddy, what was that man doing?" my youngest asked. My oldest added, "I don't think that was Wolverine."

Ugh. Geez my wife was so pissed. A word to the wise, find what you're looking for, before calling the kids over.
