Thinkings, feelings and...doings ~ 2013

It was 81F here in Cali today.
Perhaps when you all grow up, you can live where there is nice weather too instead of complaining about it.

Congratulations...you live in a state with warm weather nearly perpetually. The weather here is nice, when it's not dismally cold.

I'm not quite sure what growing up has to do about the weather. I'm sure that when you get an intense heatwave, you're none too excited about it. I'd even venture far enough to say that you'd complain about it, even if just for a moment.

Wait. I've just come up with a great solution for this.

So, the joke is on - all the female writers you're attempting to write with?

I understand, now, why you pretend to be a wolf in all your lounge posts. Abject and relentless loneliness really warps people.

Here's my thing.

If you don't want your dog, for whatever reason, help find it a home. And, in the event you struggle to do so out of laziness or whatever, let a non-kill shelter do it for you.

It says something horrific about you, as a person, when you simply abandon your animal to its own devices and wash your hands of the responsibility you agreed to take on when you bought/adopted it in the first place.

I'm not a gentle person. It isn't in me to be a gentle person. But the ugliest parts of who and what I am are most easily provoked by the abject cruelty and senseless neglect I've seen with animals.

You don't have to be one of those PETA nutjobs to understand the difference between right, wrong, kind, cruel, and the many different ways abandoning an animal that depends on you for care is completely and utterly fucked.

Fuck me. How often have I seen that. I'm not going to waffle on about animal rights and such, but when you assume responsibility for something, then it's YOUR responsibility.

And I agree with Vail, not for the first time, but treating an animal with no voice in a poor way is an indicator of your character. Poor.

Bit of a rage last thought:

Okay. Come. The fuck. On. I ask nicely. I even tell you, in thorough detail, what I would like to have done for my character's development. A simple thing that would further develop the relationship between our characters. But, no. You wouldn't have it. In your close-mindedness, you automatically assume the worst for your character. You then have the fucking nerve to say that I want to stroke my ego over it.

Really sick of people believing that their characters can't be touched, even when I'm willing to deal horrible emotional damage to my own to make their characters seem more important. Fucking hell.

I just saw we're supposed to be back in the teens again this week. I feel like this has been pretty easily the coldest winter since I've been here.

Apparently Chicago's highs aren't even supposed to be above zero early this week.

Stop whining and move to a warmer climate, apparently.

In all seriousness, though, I'm in Florida for work and by the time I'm home I get to catch the tail end of another Northeastern Cold Streak. From the looks of things, and words from back home, the last month has been bananas cold for the entire top half of the United States.

Apparently. I guess Georgia isn't far enough south to escape this winter.

It's supposed to be 14 Tuesday night.
