1. My car passed the MOT swiftly and painlessly. Phew.

2. I had 22 to-do items on my list today. I got all of them ticked off. Plus more.

3. Weirdly, the entire day has ran smoothly despite the madness of it all, including some unexpected moments. Timings were perfect from one thing to another, the traffic never too bad from one place to another, the whole day just 'worked'.

1. I got to spend time with my stepdaughter today. It’s her Birthday this weekend and the first Birthday/Christmas without her late mother. It was much needed.

2. I didn’t have to work today. It was the last holiday day I had left and meant I could get some jobs done.

3. Had a lovely meal out this evening. I am truly stuffed.

1. I visited my favorite jeweler, whom I've known for decades (and have helped put his kids through college!) and got some special presents for my wife and two daughters.

2. I had a WONDERFUL visit with three beautiful, amazing nurses that I've known for many years. Nurses who have been through a lot together have a special bond that is often more intimate (non-sexual) than they have with their own family. It made me feel really good.

3. Got the first couple of batches of Christmas cookies done tonight.

2) the racial abuse I encountered today was online rather than IRL, so it didn't sting as much
