To Much Hate | Do, Say or show something nice

Last week I took some of my Grandchildren to a
restaurant. My six-year-old Grandson asked if he
could say grace.

As we bowed our heads he said, "God is good.
God is great. Thank you for the food, and I would
even thank you more if Grandpa gets us ice cream for
dessert. And Liberty and justice for all! Amen!"

Along with the laughter from the other
customers nearby I heard a woman remark, "That's
what's wrong with this country. Kids today don't
even know how to pray. Asking God for ice-cream!
Why, I never!"

Hearing this, my Grandson burst into tears and
asked me, "Did I do it wrong? Is God mad at me?" As
I held him and assured him that he had done a
terrific job and God was certainly not mad at him,
an elderly gentleman approached the table.

He winked at my grandson and said, "I happen
to know that God thought that was a great prayer."
"Really?"

"Cross my heart," the man replied.
Then in a theatrical whisper he added
(indicating the woman whose remark had started this
whole thing), "Too bad she never asks God for ice
cream. A little ice cream is good for the soul
sometimes."

Naturally, I bought ice cream at the end of
the meal. My Grandson stared at his for a moment
and then did something I will remember the rest of
my life.

He picked up his sundae and without a word,
walked over and placed it in front of the woman.
With a big smile he told her, "Here, this is for
you. Ice cream is good for the soul sometimes; and
my soul is good already."
The End

Sometimes we all need some ice cream !!!!

About the Quilt

http://www.gzquilt.com/About_the_Quilt/about_the_quilt.html

Please take a look. When the quilt comes up, click on it to enlarge it, and then click again and again -- each time it gets larger. When you make it big, you will see the faces of people who died at the World Trade Center. Lois Jarvis of Madison, Wisconsin made this beautiful quilt. Imagine the amount of work and planning that had to go into this. It is a labor of great love.

I've been learning how to make annimations and thought I'd toss one up for your thoughts.

I guess it depends how one looks at it if this image it nice or not, that's for you to decide.

I just wanted to share a little of my happiness today....after five long years away, my son is now home. The tears of sadness have now been replaced with tears of joy.
But no words can really describe the shear joy of knowing he is home again.

Thats all I wanted to say...I hope everyone has a nice day...:rose:

Thanks ... I was wondering what the ladies thought of not so much the image itself but rather the trust involved in a lover doing this, plus I find it more "artful" doing it as such rather than a true photo, but then again I'm weird

I've done a few others if anyone is interested and now that I've discovered how to do them should someone have a request or wish their own photos have some work done just yell

I personally love it, but you are right, it takes knowing your lover and knowing that they are looking to please you, not hurt you and that they are cautious and careful to make sure that they do not hurt you even if not intentionally and are willing to stop if necessary. It takes alot of trust. Can you post some of the others?

yes woody.. please post more !!!!!!!

Sunshine I'm doing my best not to let her beat me further down, so thank you for reminding me that it's worth it....

Ever wish for something so much that should it come true for just one day, you'd make sure there were enough memories to last a lifetime? So, you got a free day?

ok ok, enough of that eh, let me see what I have here that's done
