To those who know me~ I am now almost a Republican

Tonight I visited Lit using a different browser without logging in and saw something interesting. Does anyone else see the striking similarity between LT's and Luke the Puke's writing style? Same tough guy facade...the fantasy careers...the mindless liberalism.

What are the odds of two people on Lit having identically defective personality traits?

You sure seem to visit Lit with a different browser without logging in quite often lately.

Yep.

You really need to take some educational courses on how efficient green energy is, not just read blogs. You would be surprised on construction costs and maintenance involved.

How many panels on your roof? How many watts is your inverter? How many batteries in your bank? Got a greywater system? How many cisterns to collect rainwater? How much power is your computer using now, I am running on solar right now, so it isn't costing me a thing to make you look like an ass.
I put my system in all by myself so it would not be grid connected. It powers a 2 room addition and requires less maintence and is more energy efficient than caring for my iquana, hot tub, garden or pond.
I do not know of any construction costs when installing a home system but the reason, in part it is so costly is because the Bacon-Davis act. regs. those who participate in the federal program must follow.,
You really do not want to mess with me because i do not blow shit and talk about things of which I am not informed.

You're a little slow. I make more money because I'm LEED certified, because more clients use my services because of the certification. It has nothing to do with my company going green.

WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK LEED IS ALL ABOUT??? IT IS ALL ABOUT GREEN TECHNOLOGY. If the fact you are certified, which I doubt, makes you more money then your company is making more money. Therefore you once again proved my point that green is profitable. Your claim to be certified because " I make more money because I'm LEED certified, because more clients use my services because of the certification" clearly shows you're not in it for anything other than money.

What LEED is.....

LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system, providing third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across all the metrics that matter most: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts.

Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), LEED provides building owners and operators a concise framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions.

LEED is flexible enough to apply to all building types – commercial as well as residential. It works throughout the building lifecycle – design and construction, operations and maintenance, tenant fitout, and significant retrofit. And LEED for Neighborhood Development extends the benefits of LEED beyond the building footprint into the neighborhood it serves.

Wow... just because you're a talentless layabout drunk with no life doesn't mean I am. No matter how badly you want me to be.

Too fucking funny.

Er, health insurance has been going up pretty much forever.

And unless you or someone who has you in their will is worth about $10 million, the estate tax won't affect your life at all, and you're a moron for changing your political persuasion on that basis.

But I'm sure you're still a cool person and all.

Maybe you can offer a coherent explanation of why the estate someone worked hard to attain should go to the government instead of heirs.

Very similar indeed

Oh shut the fuck up, off2bed.

Very similar indeed

The racist alt maker would know these things I suppose.

Very similar indeed

Someone who doesn't have both assholes on ignore could probably find several instances of he/it/them arguing and trolling each other.

Must be an interesting life, no?

Whats too fucking funny, that I cite LEED references and seem to know more about it than you or I keep wasting my time making you look stupid??

You keep claiming so sort of victory here, think about that. Where did I say anything about my knowledge of anything at all? I told you I was certified, I did it so more clients who are into green building and energy use my services. You're really over complicating things.

I couldn't give a damn about all this green stuff, just in it for the money. Oh, and if it's on the interwebs, it must be true.

"Almost Republican", Libertarian?

I think so but honestly do not know enough yet to say that although it does sound better than 'republican'. For now I will stick to saying non party :)
I do agree with a lot of the libertarian views but unless we get young voters involved I do not think a 3rd party stands a chance this decade.

If you mean LT from years ago, he backs up what he says and provides references, and would never put himself in a spot where I could chew him up and spit him out; he would not call me a moron and bullshitter because he knows I can stand my ground and do not say shit I cannot justify.
Saying that, it has been a few years since I've been around and I did say I was almost a republican.....:)

Gee how did you get certified without learning anything? And guess what asshole this post is enough for me to get you uncertified- but you would know that if you were actually certified, wouldn't you?

The stupification process is almost complete huh...

this is why you're a republican and it has to do with your brain.

BrainResearch published over the weekend shows that brains of liberals and conservatives may be constructed and work differently.

In a study likely to raise the hackles of some conservatives, scientists at New York University and the University of California, Los Angeles, found that a specific region of the brain’s cortex is more sensitive in people who consider themselves liberals than in self-declared conservatives.

The brain region in question helps people shift gears when their usual response would be inappropriate, supporting the notion that liberals are more flexible in their thinking.

ā€œSay you drive home from work the same way every day, but one day there’s a detour and you need to override your autopilot,ā€ said NYU psychologist David Amodio. ā€œMost people function just fine. But there’s a little variability in how sensitive people are to the cue that they need to change their current course.ā€

The work, to be reported today in the journal Nature Neuroscience, grew out of decades of previous research suggesting that political orientation is linked to certain personality traits or styles of thinking. A review of that research published in 2003 found that conservatives tend to be more rigid and closed-minded, less tolerant of ambiguity and less open to new experiences. Some of the traits associated with conservatives in that review were decidedly unflattering, including fear, aggression and tolerance of inequality. That evoked outrage from conservative pundits.

The latest study showed ā€œthere are two cognitive styles — a liberal style and a conservative style,ā€ said UCLA neurologist Dr. Marco Iacoboni, who was not connected with the latest research.

Linda Skitka, a professor of psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, said it’s possible the liberals in the recent study appeared more flexible than the conservatives because the population was skewed.

ā€œWe’re more likely to find extreme conservatives in the U.S. than extreme liberals,ā€ she said.

Participants were college students whose politics ranged from ā€œvery liberalā€ to ā€œvery conservative.ā€ Scientists instructed them to tap a keyboard when an M appeared on a computer monitor and to refrain from tapping when they saw a W.

M appeared four times more frequently than W, conditioning participants to press a key in knee-jerk fashion whenever they saw a letter.

Each participant was wired to an electroencephalograph that recorded activity in their anterior cingulate cortex, the part of the brain that detects conflicts between a habitual tendency (pressing a key) and a more appropriate response (not pressing the key). Liberals had more brain activity and made fewer mistakes than conservatives when they saw a W, researchers said. Liberals and conservatives were equally accurate in recognizing M.

Researchers obtained the same results when they repeated the experiment in reverse, asking another set of participants to tap when they saw W.

Frank Sulloway of the Institute of Personality and Social Research at the University of California, Berkeley, who was not involved in the study, said results ā€œprovided an elegant demonstration that individual differences on a conservative-liberal dimension are strongly related to brain activity.ā€

Analyzing the data, Sulloway said liberals were 4.9 times more likely than conservatives to show activity in the brain circuits that deal with conflicts and were 2.2 times more likely to score in the top half of the distribution for accuracy.

Based on the results, Sulloway said, liberals could be expected to more readily accept new social, scientific or religious ideas.

Ah, that explains why liberals fall for the AGW scam so easily, and conservatives don't.

LT has a long-standing reputation of behaving like a child. He's challenged people to fights (meet me behind the gym), consistently pretends to win debates by "owning" those who disagree with him, and desperately wants people to believe he's a hugely successful businessman. Once he managed an IT center the size of a Walmart. Another time he owned an insurance agency. He's been at the top of my iggy list for some time, so I'm not familiar with his current fantasy job. He's posed as other people my creating alts that are slight variations of other posters' usernames (1shmael). In short, he's a little punk who probably lives in the basement of his parent's home. He's a boil on the ass of Lit.

That's because you never really had a firm grasp of facts and would start attack threads based on a paragraph, or a headline, or your own personal opinion which was, self-admittedly now, fueled by hatred. This is why I left the Democrat Party and went Libertarian, because they try to base their opinion on reason and classic Liberalism.

LJ/LT is/was a hateful loon who was just able to bullshit you with alternative sets of cherry-picked, similarly emotionally-based "facts."

And by loon, I mean over the rainbow, truly gone fishing...

We've caught him inventing a life even.

That describes probably 1/4 of lit:D

That might be true, but 90% of that 1/4th is nowhere near as loony as LT and his Fantasy World...

There must have been a door here in the wall, when I came in-n-n-,

Crazy, over the rainbow...

The difference between you and LT is that if he were going to try and ascribe a position to me, he would take an actual quote out of context...
