Two Strangers, All Alone

Jessica had changed and then grabbed a bunch of stuff that would be useful in the near future. She was walking up when she saw Nathan getting ready to leave. She quickly walked up to him, "Mind if I tag along for a while. I don't really have a safe place and it is nice to know you are not alone in the world, you know?"

Nathan glanced over at Jessica and thought about her request.

He wasn't sure if he could fully trust her. She was a complete stranger after all and most people nowadays were desperate for food, shelter, and protection and therefore resorted to humanities most basic of instincts. The need for necessities, no matter the consequences.

However, she hadn't betrayed him. At least, not yet, and Nathan hadn't had a conversation with another person in a long time, although raider and looters didn't really count.

After a moments hesitation, he shrugged, "Sure."

Happy that he did not turn her down, Jessica smiled nicely at him, "Thanks." She just did not want to be alone again. She was not staying in the safest of places either. "I will do my best to not slow you down."
