Driving from our lovely island to a bigger island apparently warrants these items in the car:
Normal safety equipment.
A shovel.
Warm blankets.
Extra food and water.
Fully charged mobile phones.
..
And so on.

Sigh, there is no way around it - School starts Monday, we have to get back to the capital today (waiting until tomorrow would not make any sense.. it is only going to snow even more.)

Turns out I’m not going out. So sat On the kitchen sofa watching TV with the warm winter sun streaming in through the windows lighting and heating up the room. It’s actually quite beautiful

Unfortunately not. Wouldn't have minded a mild glazing of white stuff...

As I was getting out of my car this morning around 9am a black BMW was coming up the road behind me going to fast for the icey road, his back end spun on some ice and ended up down a banking across from us.
I went over to make sure he was OK. The cars still there, he'll need someone to winch it up and out

No gritters out yesterday so quite dangerous until the sun came out

I hope you got home safe.
The weather on this side of the strait is no good for the traffic. The highway between Malmö and Helsingborg has just open again after several accidents.
But it is beautiful and lights up the darkness. I love the snow!
And it's fun to drive in when there is no one around.......

Yes! I actually drove in heavy snow for the first time today. It wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be. I have winter tyres on my car.
