Friday arrives like a grin you did not know your calendar could wear.
The week loosens its tie. Clocks breathe easier.
Emails grow quiet, as if they too are eyeing the door.

Tools go back in drawers, boots by the mat, thoughts already halfway home.
Tea tastes better. Pints feel earned. The road hums with promise.

Tonight belongs to soft chairs, loud laughter, long sighs, and plans that do not own a schedule.
