Ultimate Heroes (OOC)

It's weird.

I have some sort of filter in my brain that remembers the "old"-style C&H strips in the "new" style art Watterson adopted later. And it's always jarring to me, cognitive dissonance, when I reread the earlier strips and go, "oh, yeah, huh."

Tom Clancy meets The Book of Job.

Nice work, Sun God. Brilliant.

...you continue to impress me.

I sent him a PM

I saw it! I saw it!

Just returned from seeing it, actually.

I noticed two items of interest from the Avenger team in the movie, one when Tony was constructing the elemental generator, and one at the end of the credits, of course.

How cool was that?

Ok, yeah, I admit I totally punched the sky and yelled out a "hell yeah!" when the end credits rolled and that scene played.

But, wouldn't hate to be the SHIELD agent made to stand guard over that thing in the desert? I mean it's pretty obvious the owner of such an overly powerful hand tool will probably come looking for it......

Anyway, cool movie. The very end credits were worth the whole thing to me.

It was good from beginning to end for me.

'Coz I got an "Airbender" trailer, too. XD

I'm wondering if the prop Tony used for that generator will show up, same design, in a different movie? I wonder I wonder I wonder.

And. Yeah.

Agent Colson has his work cut out.

It's also been suggested that, based on footage shown on screens in the background, that this sequel takes place at approximately the same time as Norton's "Incredible Hulk." (Which I still need to see.)

And that, of course, would explain a certain cameo in that movie...

All of this is giving me goosebumps.

I soooo know what you mean...

Seeing that hammer...

THE hammer...

I can't describe what I felt.

I've always known a certain part of me never grew up.

I just didn't know, until now, that that certain part had been waiting patiently in another place.....

...a place with great halls and keeps, rolling hills, deer and boar to hunt, and the call of a mighty sentinel who tasks all who should pass across a rainbow bridge...
