Michigan's primary is less than two weeks away. Here are the Dem candidates: Haley Stevens and Abdul El-Sayed. Stevens is the party's chosen hack. El Sayed is the outsider with more grassroots support. He's also the more competent speaker. Stevens puts unnecessary emphasis on most of her words. It's more work to hear her talk.

Stevens was also endorsed by US Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC 06th).

MI early voting started. Haley Stevens may have already lost the primary. El Sayed started with a big lead and kept it.

Where did you hear that? They don't release the results of early voting until after everyone has voted.

A little bird told me. But Haley could still get a surprise win via a late night ballot count.

You’re right. There are no early results reported, however he’s sitting on a double digit lead in the latest polls. If Stevens were to pull off a win it would be a stunning upset.

Emerson released a poll on 7/28 that has her behind by 15. Another poll released 7/29 has her down by 12.

We're going to find out tomorrow night to see if Stevens pulls off a big upset.

Looks like Sayed won by about 2 points. Emerson had him up by 15 points in their poll released last week. Another Michigan poll showed a similar lead. The pollsters, prediction markets and pundits assumed a decisive victory. Might have dampened Stevens voter enthusiasm and cost her the election.
