Palpatine was even stupider than Anakin and Jacen combined. So much a sucker to the weakness of the darkside he didn't even have to try to tell himself lame rationalizations for his evil choices like they did.

Mara, I liked Mara, but she should've told Luke about Caedus, instead of trying to go one on one against him. When Jacen killed her we could've avoided two books of back to square one, and Luke's worst skirting of the darkside since ROTJ when he killed Lumiya in revenge.

Legacy of the Force is where the EU went south for me.

Lol. Used to be a big fan of the Star Wars EU. Then got to NJO, and had to give up on it after that. 4 years, and 19 books, and they end it with that HORRIBLE Dues ex machina.

Such horrible plot creation. I've refused to care about anything in that universe since then.

I've gone back to Dragonlance lol.
