Volleyball Drills

As Logan listened to Savannah's response he found himself overwhelmed by an almost crushing sense of disappointment. Disappointment in himself for letting things get to this point, and disappointment in himself for playing into the manipulative teen's traps each step of the way. He was also very disappointed in Savannah for not being mature enough to own up to her own actions.

As she finished speaking, an awkward silence was born. Logan stared at the teenager, his face blank, his eyes cold and dispassionate. He felt hollow. A part of him wanted to argue with Savannah, to try to get her to open up and talk to him, but he realized at this point, she just wasn't ready for that kind of honesty. He also had a sense, for the first time since he'd met her, that she just wasn't worth the effort.

"Nevermind, Savannah," he finally said, his eyes dropping away from her face and down to the car keys he was holding in his hand. He was done with her. "You drive safe," he added, his voice cold, as he turned and started toward his car, lifting his gym bag up onto his shoulder.

"Wait, Coach!" she said, calling after him. "I'm sorry. I just...it was really wrong, and I feel really bad. I don't even know how it happened. I've been trying to deny it all, and admitting something wrong happened between us disables me from that. I'm sorry, you're really trying here."

Before she could stop herself, she reached out and grabbed his arm, forcing him to turn around and face her, "Truly. You're right. What the hell? It was just a stupid spur of the moment thing that happened. I think we both got carried away."

It was then that Savannah must have truly lost her mind, because she pushed her tight little body between his crossed arms, hugging him, "Okay? It's all good. Really." She felt his arms relax around her and she sighed. It had been a long time since she'd hugged anyone so warm and tight. "I didn't mean anything by it." she whispered, her eyelashes wet with the tears that threatened to come out. She felt rejected and stupid. How could she not?

Logan made no move to stop or turn back when he heard Savannah calling out to him. For him it just felt like too little, and much too late. The smart thing for him to do was to just keep walking, just get in the car and drive home to his family and leave Savannah and her confusing little ball of hormones standing in the parking lot. That's what he intended to do. Then he felt the teen girl's hand on his arm, spinning him around.

Logan pulled his arm from her grasp and started to take a step back from Savannah as she tried to explain what had happened at the restaurant. The coach was reasonably sure that she was being sincere, but he still felt a little leery, even more so when he suddenly found the teenager leaning in to his chest to hug him. As she spoke, she sounded almost worried.

He didn't understand it. He couldn't understand her, with her erratic behavior and her seemingly wild swings in attitude. Despite that, he found himself relaxing slightly, the tension and frustration that he'd felt just moments before draining away as he let his arms circle around Savannah and hugged her lightly. It felt good to have her in his arms, maybe because he wasn't a big fan of confrontation and this somehow felt like a peace offering. Maybe for other reasons, less noble reasons.

"It's okay, Savannah," he said, giving her a slight squeeze to try to reassure her. "I'm really not trying to be a dick about this. I just want to make sure everything is okay between us." Was that all he wanted? Or was there another reason he had wanted to meet with her alone in the parking lot? Was there another reason he was still holding her in his arms besides just trying to comfort her?

They stood there hugging each other for who knows how long, Savannah purposefully pulling her waist out of the hug just slightly. The last thing she needed to do right now is make him think she was interested in him in a sexual way or trying to get a rise out of him. She smiled, "I know, I know...I just...of course everything is okay."

She briefly wondered why he wanted to meet with her alone. Why not talk to her outside the parking lot? Or the next day? Nobody was going to come to the parking lot until earliest 5 AM the next morning. She bit her lower lip, her arms still around his waist. She could feel the muscles in his chest and sides against her, as well as the muscles in his arms pressing into her.

She tried to imagine Coach Reardon's wife, or his son, anything that would take her mind off of how great he felt against her. She failed. She let one of her hands slip under his shirt against his back, feeling the warm skin against her cool fingers. It was almost an innocent gesture, but in her mind it was quite racy. She was touching his skin. Yeah, like touching his "skin" down there wasn't good enough for you? she berated herself, but didn't remove her hand from under his shirt. "You're a really good coach." she choked out.

As he stood there in the dark parking lot, the cool night air swirling around him, the teenager wrapped in his arms, Logan felt his icy disposition begin to melt. Despite everything that had happened between them, for some reason, he felt that in that moment Savannah was finally opening up to him. She seemed genuinely sorry for her previous behavior, and genuinely fond of him, even if it was just the fondness of a player for her coach. And in that moment, he was reminded of why, even though she had a knack for driving him crazy at times, he liked her.

As the brief hug slowly became something more...intimate, Logan found himself enjoying the feeling of Savannah's warm body against his, her head resting against his chest. Not that it was anything other than a purely innocent embrace, a gesture of friendship, or comfort. It didn't even bother him when he felt the teenager's hand slip under the back of his shirt, pressing against his back. He was sure it was unintentional on her part.

"You're a really good coach," he heard Savannah say into his chest, her voice sounding a bit shaky.

"Thank you, that means a lot coming from you," he responded, giving her another squeeze with his arms. "Especially coming from such a good team captain. I meant it when I told you I was proud of you. You've really impressed me these last couple of weeks."

Savannah managed to grin at Logan, her lower lip quivering slightly. Her nipples were rock hard against her shirt and her pussy was dripping into her tight, blue panties. "I...really? Thanks. I've never really been this passionate and dedicated about anything." she laughed, "I'm sure you caught on to that a while ago, though." she let her nails trail down his lower back. Her other hand slid down to lightly skim over his ass.

She giggled, "What do you do, squats?!? Your ass is so hard!" she smiled at him again. "I mean..." she lowered her gaze, still hugging him, her hands almost innocently touching his back. "I'm a good player, thanks to YOU. You know that, right?"

As she spoke, Logan felt Savannah lift her head from his chest. He glanced down and locked his eyes on hers. Sometimes he forgot just how breathtakingly beautiful she was. It was hard not to notice standing that close, looking down into her face, watching as she grinned up at him. Her hand was still on his back, and he could feel her nails grazing against his skin. It felt good. But when he felt Savannah's other hand glide down over his ass, he nearly jumped in shock.

"What do you do, squats?!? Your ass is so hard!" she giggled, sounding half playful and half nervous. Logan decided to let it slide, not wanting to drive another wedge between them so soon after they seemed to be making progress. Besides, it could have been an accident. "I'm a good player, thanks to YOU. You know that, right?"

As the brunette lowered her gaze, the coach glanced back down at her, noticing that her nipples appeared to be hard. Not that he could be sure in the dimly lit parking lot. It was probably just his imagination. "I might have helped you a little, but you worked hard. Plus, you have as much natural talent as anyone I've seen," he said, rubbing a hand across the middle of her back. "And you're also one of the smartest players I've ever coached."

"I think we make a pretty good team," he added.

Savannah couldn't explain the way she was feeling. She felt like a yo yo, and realized it probably wasn't any better for Coach Reardon. Who was married. With a kid. She breathed roughly and smiled, as she hugged her coach tighter as he complimented her. "Wow." she thought to herself. "You have absolutely no idea just how naturally talented I am!" She smirked, taking his hand from her back and letting it slide down to her ass. "Do you think I need to do more squats? I've been a little jiggly. Jiggly is bad, right?"

Her breath hitched at the feel of his hand on her ass and her nipples rubbed roughly against the inside of her shirt. She didn't know what else to say. She was trying so hard not to be inappropriate, but all she could think about were licking and nibbling Logan's "v" lines.

Logan was still processing Savannah's comment about being 'naturally talented' when he felt her take hold of his hand behind her back. Somehow he knew exactly what she was doing, and yet he didn't try to stop her. It was like knowing a car crash was about to happen but being powerless to prevent it. So he let it happen. He let her guide his hand down to her ass. And he left it there, cupping her rounded buttock.

"Do you think I need to do more squats? I've been a little jiggly. Jiggly is bad, right?" the playfulness was back in the teen girl's voice again, stronger than ever. Teasing. Practically begging him to play with her.

The voice in the back of his head was screaming feebily for him to take his hand off of Savannah's ass, screaming it over and over, but each time the voice seemed smaller and more distant. Instead of removing his hand, Logan gave the teenager's ass a firm squeeze. "I don't feel any jiggle, but if you're really worried about it, I can always give you extra laps at practice this week."

Despite the coach's willingness to joke about what was happening, he was beginning to feel tense. What had started as a friendly hug, meant to soothe or to reassure had quickly become something else, and now he was playing along with Savannah's game, giving in to the desire he had been trying to suppress. And his body was beginning to respond as well. He could feel his cock stirring again, swelling rapidly.

Savannah's breath became more and more struggled as Logan's hand stayed on her ass. She could feel his cock just slightly hard against her leg. Before she could stop herself, she was leaning up towards Coach Reardon's chest, gripping his biceps and kissing him softly on the mouth.

She pulled away a few moments later, her lips slightly wet. Savannah blinked her eyes, unable to think of what to say. And so she didn't. She turned and walked towards her car, not looking back. She reached her side door, unlocking it quickly and getting inside.

"Fuck! Fuck! FUCK!" She cried out, banging the steering wheel. She had hoped she would feel nothing when they kissed, proving it was just a stupid game. She had hoped it would just be her wanting what she knew she couldn't have. But the full body jolt had said otherwise. And her even wetter panties proved something she wasn't willing to admit.

Logan saw it coming. He knew the moment her hands moved to his biceps, the moment he looked down into her big, dark eyes. And he did nothing to stop her. He just let it happen. Her lips were so soft. Smooth. Her body felt so warm as she pressed tighter against him. Her lithe, young teenage body. He had no business kissing her, or letting her kiss him, if there was even a difference. No business, and yet it was happening. And he liked it...too much.

And then Savannah was gone, without a word. Her lips pulled away from his and she just turned and walked away. She didn't say anything. She didn't look back. A moment later he heard a car door open and close. Logan just stood there, trying to understand what had happened, trying to understand why she had kissed him...how he had let it happen...why she had stopped so suddenly...why she had walked away from him without any explanation.

He considered going after Savannah. He told himself he needed to talk to her, but he knew that wasn't the real reason he wanted to go after her. He wanted to go after her because of the kiss. He wanted to go after her because he wanted more. He hadn't heard her car start, which meant she was still there just on the other side of the bus. All he had to do was go after her.

Instead, the coach turned and walked the other direction, toward the staff parking lot. Raising his remote, he unlocked his car with a beep. Tossing his bag in the back seat, he opened the driver side door, but paused before getting in. He turned and looked back toward where Savannah's car was parked. Shaking his head, he got in his car, started the engine and drove out of the parking lot, heading for home and his wife.

Savannah had liked that kiss way too much. A kiss with her coach. Her married coach. Who she had absolutely no business kissing. She pushed aside the thought that she had no business doing ANYTHING with him; kissing was the least of their worries. She sighed deeply, as she heard Logan's car start. She frowned slightly.

Why was she sad?! She should be relieved!

She halfway convinced herself that it was to apologize. To make things right. But she could still taste the smoky mint of his mouth on hers. The taste of a man... She shivered, biting her tongue.

She put her key in the ignition and attempted to start her car. Nothing. She cursed her bad luck. It was late. Her brother was NOT going to come get her if she called. She glanced over at the other side of the parking lot. Coach Reardon was gone.

She sat back against the seat, wondering what the hell she should do or if she should call him. She looked down at her phone. He was probably almost home by now.

As Logan pulled out of the parking lot onto the main road, which curled back past the main parking lot, he noticed that Savannah's car was still sitting there across from the bus. He wondered why she hadn't left yet. Maybe she was just as wound up and confused as he was. He certainly wasn't in any hurry to get home to his wife, not after what had happened. Maybe she was feeling the same way.

He still couldn't figure out what had happened or why it had happened. One minute they were coach and player, then suddenly in the course of one night, they became something else somehow. The smart-mouthed, habitually late, brat of a teen that he'd known for years had somehow become something else. She had always been attractive, even beautiful, but now she was also seductive and alluring and sexy. He'd not only let her kiss him, he'd kissed her back. He'd grabbed her ass. Jesus Christ, did I really let her give me a footjob under the table at the Olive Garden? What the fuck was I thinking?

The car behind him honked, bringing Logan out of his daze. He realized that the traffic light had turned green and he was just sitting there, holding up the other cars. Hitting the gas, he sped through the intersection as he reached for his phone to see if he had any messages from his wife.

Savannah gave in and decided to call Coach Reardon. She knew she might regret it later, but she had no idea how she would get home otherwise. She didn't have money for a cab with her, and the thought of calling a cab to pick her up was just not appealing whatsoever. She pressed call and put her phone on speaker, laying back against the seat.

Would he answer? Or was he trying to avoid her, as he probably should be? She wanted to play hard to get, calling him back for help after such a successful exit...

"NO! No, jesus, Savannah!" she said out loud to herself, the phone still ringing. What the fuck was she talking about? Hard to get? It was her married coach, for fuck's sake. It seemed like the millionth time that week she'd told herself something along those lines, but yet she still was thinking about him in deliciously inappropriate ways.

"I just need a ride home. That's it. A tow truck. Simple." she thought, as the phone rang again. "Pleaase answer." she whispered.

Just as Logan's hand closed around his phone, he felt and heard it begin to vibrate. He struggled to fish the cell out of his bag, while keeping his eyes on the road in front of him. Finally slipping his hand through the small opening in the top of the bag, he lifted the phone up in front of the steering wheel so that he could see the display clearly. The coach had assumed it was probably his wife, so he was surprised when he saw the name on the caller id.

It was Savannah.

He hesitated. Why was she calling? What could she want? Maybe she wanted to apologize, or maybe she wanted to talk about what had happened. Those were both possibilities, but then again, it was also possible that she was calling to invite him back to her house to finish what she'd started earlier. That thought excited him, and the fact that it excited him, made him immediately feel guilty. She could be calling to tell him that she was quitting the volleyball team, a thought which made Logan's stomach tighten with anxiety.

All of those thoughts raced through the coach's mind in the split second before he pressed the button to accept the call. "Savannah?" he asked, trying to keep the tension and the desire out of his voice. "Is everything okay?"

She let out a deep breath as her coach answered his cellphone. She wondered why he'd answered. Maybe he wanted to tell her off. Or maybe he was hoping she wanted more. More kisses. And touching. She shivered.

"Not really. I hate to ask you this, but can you drive me home? My car needs to be towed, it absolutely will not start." She breathed heavily, "I'm so sorry, Coach. I swear I didn't plan this out."

"It's okay, Savannah, don't worry about it" Coach Reardon responded to the teenager. "I'm only about five minutes from the school. I'll be back there as quick as I can. And Savannah? Stay in your car until I get there, okay?" he added as he checked his rearview mirror to make sure he could switch lanes.

After hanging up with the teen girl, Logan tried to focus on getting turned back around and headed in the right direction. The last thing he wanted to think about was what might happen when she got into his car with him. Could he trust her to not try something? More importantly, could he trust himself if she did? He could still taste her lips on his, and the memory of that kiss, her soft lips, was enough to make his chest tighten, and his imagination run wild.

By the time he pulled into the high school's parking lot, Logan had played through a hundred different scenarios in his mind, most of which ended with him doing things he knew he would regret later. Forcing those thoughts out of his mind, as much as he could, he pulled up next to Savannah's car and slipped his car into park.

Savannah breathed a sigh of relief as she hung up with Logan. She knew he was on his way and he didn't sound overly upset or annoyed with her. Thank God. The last thing she needed was her hormones and her messed up mind to fuck up her ENTIRE life.

She rolled her eyes, trying to relax in the few minutes she had before he got back to the parking lot. She wondered if he was going to try to pick up where they left off. Or if she was. And if he'd stop her if she did. What if he drove her home and nobody was there? Would she be tempted to invite him in?

She scurried out of the car and locked the doors. She hopped up into the passenger seat, shutting the door behind her. Savannah felt like she was being secretive, as if they were having an affair.

"Thank you." She said simply, avoiding looking at him. For all she could think about was the taste of his mouth on hers.

As Logan pulled up next to the teenager's car, he had wondered if he should offer to try starting her car, but decided against it. He told himself that the reason he dismissed the idea was because he didn't want Savannah to think he was questioning her motives, but the truth was, it was also because if he did get her car started then she wouldn't need a ride home. She wouldn't get in his car with him, and then nothing would happen between them. Nothing could happen between them. For some reason, that mattered to him.

He'd barely managed to put the car in park when Savannah emerged from her car and slipped into the passenger seat beside him. She thanked him, but otherwise, said nothing as he shifted the car out of park. The tension in the car seemed thick enough to choke on. "Make sure you buckle up," he murmured, glancing over and noticing that she hadn't. His eyes lingered for a moment on her breasts before he jerked his eyes forward and cleared his throat.

"You can program your address into the GPS if you want," he said, motioning toward the panel in the center of the dashboard. Logan checked his mirrors again, and looked over his shoulder before pulling away and heading toward the exit.

Savannah would have been lying if she said there was no obvious tension between the two of them as they drove away. Her chest tightened as he told her to buckle her seatbelt. "Yes sir." She said quietly, buckling herself in.

She leaned forward towards him, to reach the GPS. Her breasts pressed into the dashboard as she plugged in her address, "Now you know where I live. And sleep." She whispered, avoiding his deep, beautiful eyes.

She didn't know what to say. She didn't regret kissing him, yet at the same time she knew very well she shouldn't have.

Logan couldn't help but notice that as Savannah leaned forward to reach for the GPS, the seat belt across her chest pulled her shirt tight around her breasts, making them stand out even more than normal. His mind flashed back to the sight of her in her sports bra, the way her breasts bounced slightly as she had run her laps. He also remembered feeling them press against his chest as she had hugged him earlier that night. Just before she'd kissed him...

Savannah muttered something as she finished programming her address in and leaned back in her seat. Logan wasn't sure if he'd heard her correctly, but he didn't want to break the silence that filled the vehicle just to ask her what she'd said. Instead he glanced down at the route that was displayed on the screen and realized that it was going to take them about ten minutes to get to her house.

He had ten minutes to decide what he was going to do if she offered to let him come in when they got to her house. Ten minutes to decide what he was going to do if she leaned over and tried to kiss him as they sat in his car in front of her house. Ten minutes to decide what he would do if she wanted more than a kiss from him.

Savannah sat uncomfortably as they drove towards her house. She couldn't help but wonder what Coach Reardon was thinking. Was he disgusted with her? Aroused? Had he hated the kiss? Did he want more?

Savannah was barking up the wrong tree with Logan. He was obviously never going to be interested in her. She wasn't even interested in him! Df course she wasn't. She had just been joking and taken it too far. Right? She had just been a little sexually frustrated.*

Any sexy guy who was turned on by her made her feel good.

"So, are you going to tell your wife?" she said suddenly, and instantly smacked herself. "Shit. I mean...forget that. I'm sorry. Wow. Just, don't listen to me."

When Savannah actually broke the silence between them, Logan had been so lost in thought, that he was startled slightly by her words. He hesitated to respond for a moment, considering what she'd said, and the seeming confusion in her voice as she spoke. Bringing up his wife had struck a nerve, but he didn't think she'd done it on purpose. And it wasn't an entirely unfair question.

"It's okay, Savannah," he finally said, his voice patient and thoughtful. "I'm not planning on telling my wife about you...about what happened. That would definitely not go over well." In his head, Logan imagined the look on Julie's face as he explained that he'd kissed one of his players, that he'd let her...encouraged her to rub him with her foot under the table in a crowded restaurant. This was definitely one of those things he should keep to himself.

As the coach looked down at the GPS and then back up at the road, he realized that they had just turned onto the street where Savannah lived. They were almost there. He could feel butterflies in his stomach and his pulse quicken. He didn't want to admit to himself that it was because he wanted something to happen, but that was the case. As they neared her house, Logan glanced over at the teenager, wondering what was going on in her head.

Savannah knew that they were close to her house, but she didn't want to say anything about it. She wanted depserately to say something, anything, about what had happened between them. Savannah wanted to tell her coach that she regretted their Olive Garden encounter and their kiss. She wanted to tell him she should quit the team and that they should avoid each other, save for the class she had with him.

Savannah wanted to kiss him again. She wanted to lean over into his lap and grab his cock through his shorts and growl into his ear all the dirty things his wife would never say.

She had no idea what she should say, so she just swallowed hard and looked into his eyes as they pulled up in front of her house, "You have reached your destination." the GPS blurted out loudly.

"Well, here we are," Logan finally announced as he reached forward and pressed a button on the GPS that silenced it. His hand was close to Savannah's knee and for a moment he seemed distracted by the sight of her knee. It would be so easy to just let his hand slip down to the teenager's leg, to let it slide up her leg. So easy and so dangerous at the same time.

"It's been quite a day," the coach commented, not sure whether he was trying to say goodbye to Savannah or just delay the moment where she would leave him sitting in the car.
