Walker paradise IC (open)

Hiromi had seen the lone survivor moving towarde them. Silently she moved deeper into the shadows and began to follow him as he spotted Emma and the guy whose name she didn't remember go to get the meat.

When he ducked behind the car and set off the alarm. Hiroi cursed. The one car that was in the are had to still have a working battery. After several seconds, the alarm stopped as suddenly as it began.

Hiromi stood rught behind the stranger and pulling out her Keiken she puts the sharp edge against the newcomers throat. "If you are hostile you will die, if you are friendly you will live. Walk towards my friends Hiromi ordered him." She took the Kieken away from his throat and held in to his back.

Cody didn't notice the zombie until an it flew past him, an arrow imbedded in its chest pinning it to a wall. Cody looked at the creature that used to be a human. It's green grey skin molding and crawling with maggots. He drew his knife and slowly approached the living corpse. He raised his blade to pierce the creature through the eye, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. "Ah fuck." Cody groaned turning away from the creature and vomiting on the ground. He walked back over to Emma, shame written on his face. "I can't do it. I just can't kill it." He said breathlessly.

Cody heard Hiromi giving orders to the man behind the car. After a moment the two emerged from behind the vehicle. "Hey new guy. Don't make any sudden movements, alright? She gets kinda crazy with those swords." Cody said watching the two slowly approach.

The groaning of the zombie recaptured Cody's attention as the creature tried to pull itself free of the arrow. "Can someone put him out of his misery, please?" Cody said sadly, his face still looking a little green.

Emma walked over and put a hand on Cody's shoulder. "It's okay I had a though time too, just remember it's not them anymore" with these words Emma grabbed a throwing knife and threw it into the zombies throat. The zombie fell limp.

Hiromi shook her head at his weakness and the lack of honor they displayed against their foe. Knocking the newcomer to the ground, she strood over and pulled the arrow out of the kyonshi "Stand back she said. Thisone dies with honor."

She watched its awkward ungainly movements as she drew her Katana, hearing it sing in joy at the battle to be fought. The creature lurched for her, and she easily evaded its attack. Making sure no one was close by she swung her sword and cleanly severed it's head from the rest of the body.

The head flew through the air tumbling like a poorly thrown football until it hit Cody in the chest and landed at his feet with a splat. Hiromi stood over the head watching the eyes move and teeth snap for a moment before gently putting the unholy thing out if it's misery with a her Katana.

Once the head had died, she carried it over to the rest of the remains, and put the head where on the chest. Kneeling beside it, she once again apologized to her kill, and thanked it for bringing joy to her Katana.

Standing up she gave Cody a disgusted look and began the ritual of cleaning her sword.

"Well sorry I can't be a fucking heartless ninja murdering psycho bitch like you!" Cody yelled angrily at the woman. He stormed back into the diner and sat down in a corner. Barry trotted over, and Cody pulled the small dog into his lap. He just didn't understand Hiromi. She seemed like she enjoyed killing things. The thought of taking a life sickened Cody. So did blood and gore. He was a peaceful man, an artist, not a fighter. It seemed needlessly dangerous and cruel to realease the zombie only to kill it in such a way. Cody knew the things weren't really people anymore, but it still seemed better to just give it a quick death. "I don't know man. I just don't know." Cody said stroking Barry's fur.

Matt watched the whole thing from inside the diner and moved aside when Cody entered and sat down. "Hey, no worries, dude, not everyone has it in them to kill. You should be thankful that you don't. I mean...at least it's not like I enjoy it like she seems to though."

Emma sighed, "Hiromi I know you like killing things, and um different culture, but give Cody a break please, he's doesn't want to kill" and with that Emma walked swiftly to the dinner and knelt by Cody. " Hey don't be to hard on yourself. Some people can't handle things like that, I couldn't either and I ran. Some are meant for other things. We arnt all meant to be killers."

"I'm fine guys. I didn't mean to get dramatic. Lets just get some dinner and put this whole thing behind us." Cody said standing up. "Anything I can do to help with the cooking?" Cody asked Matt, moving out of the corner. He stopped and turned around to face Matt and Emma. "And thanks for looking out for me guys. I appreciate it." Cody said before continuing over to Matt's cook fire.

"Well the water should be ready now for the freeze dry packs, and I figured I'd just sear the venison real quick, it's gonna be a bit bland though, not much in the way for seasonings here...man I'd sell my left nut for some salt and pepper, you have no idea."

"Okay, I'm going hunting I'll be back in a hour, it's sunset I'll be fine for an hour, I do this everyday." Emma grab her backpack, quiver and bow and walked out the diner.

Cody picked up his backpack, and dug around. He pulled out a handful of salt and pepper packets. "No need to give up your nuts." Cody laughed handing Matt the condiments. "I've also got ketchup and mustard and stuff if you want it." Cody said, depositing the rest of the condiments into Matt's hand. He pulled on his backpack and turned to Emma. "Mind if I join you? I probably won't be useful in the actual hunting, but you can use me as a pack-mule." Cody joked.

Emma laughed, "sure" and she sprinted into the woods them slowed making sure Cody was behind her. Emma trotted through the woods. As Cody followed. As she shot a large male she heard something distantly. Then human voices, multiple. She tugged on costs arm And broke into a run. At the break in the woods a bullet hit her side. She fell and cried out, but got up, as she turned around a large group fired through the woods, as she heard branches be broken, she fell through the dinner door, clutching her side. Hopeing Cody had not gotten shot on the run.

Codys insults didn't bother her. She followed the way of the warrior which allowed her to fight and to kill without mercy. It was how she was trained. It was who she was.

Emma said:
"Hiromi I know you like killing things, and um different culture, but give Cody a break please, he's doesn't want to kill"

Hiromi responded quietly "What one wants and what one must do are different things."

Hiromi was puzzled by this groups reaction. She allowed the kyonshi to die like a warrior in battle. Not like a diseased dog in a cage. It was free now to go to the afterlife.

Wondering if she would be better off looking for a different group, she patrolled the area to see if there was anymore threats. Not seeing anything or anyone, she returned to the restaurant to at least get a meal and a place to sleep in safety for a few hours.

As she returned to the resturant, she saw Cody and Emma running into the woods. Worried about the others, she dashed to the entrance worried she would find a bunch dead bodies. Seeing that everyone was safe, she goanced over her shoulder but Cody and Emma were out of sight.

Looking at the others, she felt more out of place among this group then she did her first week in the US. Even though she spoke fluent English, she was not one of them and shunned by everyone. A few guys tried to talk to her, but when they found out she wasn't spreading her legs after a little conversation, they moved on to other more agreeable females.

Sitting off by herself she started her nightly ritual of sharpening her weapons, to make sure they were ready for battle. She wondered if she shoudl join in the conversation, but she really didn't feel welcome and was planning on leaving at first light.

Hearing gunfire, she jumped up and ran to the door keeping cover. She hated guns, but she had sworn an oath to protect this group and she would do so, even at the cost of her own life.

She saw Emma heading for the door moving low and fast, and Hiromi could tell she was bleeding. Hiromi was looking for whoever was doing the shooting, as Emma fell into the diner.

"She is shoot!" She yelled to the others as she ran out the door to the car to see if she could spot anyone. Cody was still out there and in danger. Hiromi got ready to head into the woods to try and find him, or his body, and to avenge the injuries suffered by those she swore to protect.

Williams who sat silently beside the fire had watched the moment roll by.
Moments ago he was about taking his own life, then threatened by a wicked looking sword and forced to whimper out into this group.
So far they have not said a word to him and he was greatful to that. If they can just leave him to his thoughts.
He turned to the fire, enjoying the subtle warmth it brought. "She is shot!" Hiromi shouted to them. Minutes later she was helping Emma in to the diner.
"I can help." he said his first words rising up to face his new group.

Cody was hoping for a nice long walk in the woods with Emma. Some talking, maybe some flirting, but instead he was getting shot at. As soon as the bullets began spraying through the trees Emma took off like a rocket, leaving Cody to his own skills. Instead of following Emma, Cody dove behind the largest tree he could find, his heart pounding with fear.

"Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck! I don't want to die like this!" Cody whispered frantically to himself as he fished the revolver out of his pocket. His mind went back to the first and last time he'd used the gun. He and Barry had been searching a Burger King when a zombie charged them. Cody fired three times, not managing to hit the zombie once. He somehow managed to escape by throwing a sack of potatoes at the zombie and running like hell. Ever since then Cody hadn't used his gun.

"Fuck I'm going to die." Cody thought panicked, wondering if he should turn the gun on himself instead. "No. I'm not going out like that." Cody thought readying his weapon. "Hey! Quit shooting! We're people! Not zombies! We're people!" Cody shouted as loudly as he could. He hoped the shooter had just misidentified him and Emma. If the person with the gun was killing humans, then Cody had just given up his hiding spot.

Hearing Cody yell, Hiromi was surprised at her feeling of relief that he was alive and uninjuried. It wasn't just becdause of her duty to keep these people alive, but the fact that they needed her, and truth be told, she needed them.

Moving through the woods quietly, Hiromi headed towards Cody, hoping she reached him before those shooting. She paused every few steps listening for a sound that would give away the presence of a human or Kyonshi.

Cody stayed tensed against the tree, praying for the shooters to answer. As he waited for the answer that would spell his life or his death, he saw Hiromi stealthily making her way through the trees. He frantically waved her over to himself while silently mouthing, "what do we do?"

Arriving at Codys hiding spot. Hiromi crouchs down beside him. "Are you injured?" she asks wondering why the shooting has stopped.

Cody shook his head. "No. I'm fine. Is Emma alright? Do you know what's going on?" Cody asked trying to stay calm and failing miserably. "I should've stayed with Matt." Cody thought miserably, waiting to see if Hiromi had a plan.

"Emma made it back, but was wounded. I don't know how bad. When I say run, run to the restaurant as fast as you can, and tell the others to prepare to defend themselves. You all must be prepared to fight if you want to live." She looked at him to make sure he understood.

"I will wait here and watch. If they do try to hurt you or the others, I will attack them, and take out as many as I can. If they do not, then I will find the enemy position, learn their numbers, and intentions. If I am not back by midnight, then I have been killed or captured. If that happens leave and find another place of safety. If I do return, I will call out Kamikaze to indicate all is well. If I am prisoner and being used to draw you into a trap, I wil call out Tora. Do you undeerstand."

When the gunshots started firing off Matt dropped what he was doing with a curse and went out a back door in the kitchen. Again, the .40 was in one hand, a hatchet on the other, as he circled around and into the woods. He moved quickly but as quietly as he could in a low crouch through the tree line, trying to find the source of the attack, if he was lucky he could flank whoever it was without getting cought, if he wasn't lucky he'd be dead and wouldn't care.

Emma choked on her tears, she saw Cody wasn't behind her. And saw Matt and Hiromi charge for the gunshots, and saw the stranger at her side looking at her wounds. "C-Cody he-he doesn't know how to f-fight, h-help him, please." Looking at the stranger and choking on her own tears, panting in pain.

"You can't just run out there into the woods! They'll kill you! I know you're a major badass, but you can block bullets. There has to be a better way." Cody said grabbing Hiromi's wrist to prevent her from charging off into the woods. "I'm not going to let you get yourself killed! Maybe this was just a mistake, or maybe not. But whatever it is you can't charge a dude with a gun when all you've got is a sword. Lets just try to sneak back instead. Maybe if we crawl they won't see us." Cody said. He knew his plan wasn't great, but he was determined to keep Hiromi from charging blindly into the forest.

"They can not shoot what they can not see. I am small quiet and smart. Go now." She smiles at him. "Do not worry, I have not gotten a meal yet. I do not plan to die on an empty stomach."

She easily pulls free of his grasp and is soon lost to his sight, without a sound.

"Shhh! Think about yourself first, your cody wouldn't want me to leave you hurt all in the name of going to his aid." Williams stated calmly as he brought out a bandage from his suitcase, a tiny bottle of menthylated spirit, a little scissors and cotton wool.
"My name is Williams, i uh...i'm sorry i won't be able to null the pain, i'll have to use this to bring out the bullet." He said in his simple meek tone while brandishing the scissors in front of her and looking into her eyes for approval to continue.
