War of the Immortals

Ooc: uhhh Morgoth. You posted that you went alongside Isolde and then talked to one of your mages. Right now Isolde and I are off talking with each other. Don't worry, we will get to where you are soon enough.

Ic:
Garret nodded his head.
"It isn't something people should experience."
He let his hand find hers, "But it does bring people closer together."
It was nice. They walked hand in hand as the late sun. It would be dark soon, time for them to leave. The forest began changing slightly, the magic that once illuminated everything began to get dull, and unappealing.
They were heading back into civilization. He was almost sad to go, to leave a place of such peace and prosperity. Glancing over at Isolde he realized how much this hurt her. She would never see this place again, never be with her home, her friends. In short, she would be just like him.
They could see the mages footprints, and heard muffled speaking. They would be there soon.

ooc: oh, that's all right. When youre, done talking, there'll be a big dragon with Lokken on top of it riding beside you, deal?

Isolde

Isolde stopped for a moment and turned back for a last look at her homeland. An elf lived for a long time and she was going to have several decades to think of this moment.

Her eyes sparkling with unshed tears, she turns away and turns her back on her homeland and towards whatever life she might find out here among the humans.

Then her mind was brought back to where Garret was quietly holding her hand and she smiled at him. As long as this man was in her life, she knew that she would be able to endure whatever would come along. She did not know how long he would stay but she knew he was here now and, for now, that was enough.

Adriana

Adriana walked alongside Cristian who was ahead of his division. She felt out of place in front of an army of demons but she was determined to stick by Cristian's side.

She noticed that he was deep in thought and his hand was absently stroking the sword. She shook her head. She wondered what it all could mean. Who was the sword for and why was Cristian the one picked to hold it until it's rightful owner claimed it.

Lokken was at the same time, stroking his concealed Mace. "Grond, oh Grond", he whispered. "You were a gift from the great God Morgoth.:)))You are the hammer that kills with a touch, that destroys with a scrape. I will have to be careful with you", he whispered, making sure not to touch the heavy, spike laden, head.

Cristian

Cristian turned to look at Adriana and when he noticed the look on her face he knew what it meant. She didn't want him to carry the weapon and was wondering why he still was. He didn't know what to say to that as the weapon had choosen him to carry it.

He was in a paradox, he was a mage- be that an orderless one but he was carrying a weapon, something he had never done in his life. He then noticed that his hand was resting on the hilt of the sword and moved it away quickly, What is happening to me? he thought.

Garret and Isolde walked to the head of the mages, and there was... (insert Morgoth's original stuff here)

Barnabus felt a twinge of regret for the loss of his apprentice, and had to remind himself of the greater good. He started the arduous task of locating Drak. The two of them should be able to set things right again. He scanned the horizon while taking inventory of the things at hand. Everything he needed was contained in his spellbook, and the few vices he had could be put off to see the end of the war.

Drak looked up when he felt the hair rise on the back of his neck. A spot of dark green floated against the blue sky, casting a smallish shadow on the ground. That had to be Barnabus. Drak sent a small projectile, magical in nature, directly toward the spot in the sky. It sailed true and exploded in fiery grandeur just to the left of the spot, from his perspective. Drak smiled, thinking that Barnabus would have probably jumped out of his old, wrinkly skin at the explosion. The ground beneath his feet erupted in a spectacular impression of water that has been disturbed by a hard thrown stone. The ground swayed, and shook, and swayed some more, throwing Drak prostrate upon it. By the time he recovered, the shadow from the floating spot had grown quite large, as the carpet that Barnabus rode upon was right above him.

"Can we stop with the childish displays now, or will you need further instruction?" Barnabus asked Drak, while lending a helping hand.

"I'm quite finished, thank you. You are here to bargain?"

"I've got a solution to your dilemma, and it does not involve me sullying my hand. Climb aboard, and I'll tell you what I have in mind on our way glory," Barnabus replied.

Drak stepped up onto the carpet of moss, which sailed straight toward the skies. He sat uneasily and looked at Barnabus with a knowing eye. If he wished to accomplish his fondest desire, death, Barnabus could provide the means. Barnabus broke the silence first, saying, "Here is what we will do..."

"I hope that the mages are not giving you any trouble?" asked Lokken, his eyes scanning the mages.

OOC: Help me out someone. Are the mages lined up to go to battle already, or are they at camp. Are the other races of immortals there or on the way, ie the magicians, demigods, demons, etc. Thanks for the help. I need to know so I can land Barnabus.

OOC: They have all just left the camp around the elvin village and are headed out...they just started though.

OOC: Come on. I wait for you to finish your diolauge and you do. Can someone please interact with Lokken?

Ooc: Sorry Morgoth, but I assumed you have more important things, like moving your army, or planning your nest attack or something. I didn't think you would still be with us, after all Isolde is simply doing what you told her.

OOC: his commanders are very self-reliant. Of course he still leads them and ultimately controls his elite, but he spends more time with the actual army and generals, raising their morale.

Ooc: If your commanders are self reliant, then why do you need generals?

Isolde

Isolde looked over at Lokken and nodded politely. "They are doing well so far, Lokken," She said to him,"The big test will be when we go into battle."

To Garret, she smiled and said,"I want to thank you for coming with me and supporting me. I know you are not totally comfortable with this but I feel more confident because you are by my side."

Adriana

Adriana placed her hand upon Cristian's arm. "It is alright," She said to him,"I know that you cannot forever stay the same man that I met that fateful night. You have changed and you must continue to change given the circumstances but I know that through it all you are my friend and that is the only thing that matters."

"I will always be your friend. Nothing will change that, not even if my outwards appearance changes for inside I am the same person. I will be here for you always- when you need someone to talk to then I will be there."
Cristian placed one hand on Adriana's shoulder and looked into her eyes with a smile.

Adriana

Adriana nods and places her own hand over his. "I know," She says with a worried look on her face,"That is not what worries me. I must confess that I am scared. I dont think I have ever been more scared in my life. I am afraid that I am going to fail you when you most need me. I have never been up against something like this before and I dont want to let you down when you most need me."

Cristian

"You will not let me down. I have faith in you and I have to say that there is not any other person that I would like to take against Garath. I have the feeling that you will be the deciding factor in this war. I don't want to put any pressure on you but I had a vision that you are one of the people that will end this madness."

Adriana

Adriana was a bit shocked at Cristian's words and had to think about them for a bit before answering. "If you have faith in me, My Friend, than I can do it. I can do anything if you are by my side."

Looking back at the division that Cristian was leading, she said,"I just wish we could do this some other way. I hate the thought that we are marching into a situation where we will be forced to take lives." Shaking her head, she adds,"It is sad times we live in indeed."

Cristian looked back as well and then turned to Adriana, "I have the feeling that before this is all over we are going to do things that we are going to be shocked with. I for one have killed my own nephew; it was something that I did not want to do but I had to to restore the balance- what there is of it and to save my life."

He saw the shocked look on Adriana's face.

"I have done things that I can not talk about as they are nothing to be proud of. But I fear that the worst is still to come."

OOC: By commanders, I meant generals.

IC: "Good. I would not be very happy with them if things were otherwise. I am sorry to leave you just now, but I must speak woth my other commanders", he bowed on the dragon before flying off.

Garret smiled nonchalantly. Why didn't he feel right all of the sudden. Being by Isolde's side felt like the most perfect thing in all the world to do, but now something felt wrong. It was almost like he wasn't supposed to be here.
Not like this.
He shook his head, this had to be the way though, how else could hey defeat the evil. This was the easiest way to do it. Stand behind some mages, and tell them where to point their magic sticks, and then have tea afterwords.
A drop of blood didn't have to be spilled, no one had to actually fight, and best of all Garret didn't have to do any magic anymore. What was the downside?
HE didn't know, but he felt it. A demoralizing dilemma that conflicted inside him. Quickly, he dismissed it all. Probably a bad lunch, that's all.
Smiling, he gave Isolde's hand a gentle squeeze, "It is I who should be thanking you," he said, "You have always been there for me."
