So maybe serving a heavy world doesn’t mean absorbing its full weight. Maybe it means setting down what isn’t ours, and lifting the one small, specific thing that is. Tending a body. Telling the truth. Making enough soup to feed yourself—and pouring a little extra into a jar to drop off for a neighbor. Loving fiercely where your feet actually are. Resisting despair and all its empty promises.

That won’t save everything. But it will save something. And that is how we keep going.

I would think that the forum’s gun owners would have strong opinions on the government violating Alex Pretti’s 2nd Amendment rights. I guess gun grabbing is legal now.

Alex pretti brought a gun to a protest and confronted peace officers who defended themselves. Certainly not murder. Murder is defined with the malice of forethought. What were his forethought’s?
I’m sure they were nothing like Ashley Babbitt’s.

Alex Pretti never drew his gun, nor threatened officers with it.

Alex Pretti had a permit for his weapon. The 2nd Amendment supposedly protects the right of citizens to bear arms.
Okay, I'll try and unpack this for you....
1 Alex placed himself in a known area of high tension.... any sane person avoids those scenarios like the plague
2 Alex confronted, agitated and harassed a law enforcement team while said teem was preforming an arrest/operation
3 when instructed to "back up/leave/ disengage" he refused
4 then instead of any of the above he engaged in a physical altercation with the officers while he had a firearm on his possession......
While on the ground he continued fighting the officers, in less than a split second he was or it seemed that he was trying to reach for his weapon, remember Alex and the officers knew he had a gun...as the situation devolved Alex was killed....
At any time during the altercation he could have de escalated the situation by simply complying with law enforcement instructions....
And another person dies while the democrats laugh at the useful idiots under the spell....fucking pitiful....all over a illegal alien criminal whom couldn't care less......

None of of this justifies Alex Pretti having his 2nd Amendment rights violated or killed after he was disarmed.

What part of “shall not be abridged” don”t you understand?
