With Kya giving him a moment to check on Catalina, he quickly checked her pulse and did a perfunctory check of her person. Even though she seemed to have been beaten, it did not seem like she had sustained any lasting damage or even serious damage for that matter.

He was still working on her when Kya returned to their side, "OK Kya, she seems to be doing better than expected. I am only going to say this once, let Nat help us to get her out of here, or I will knock you out and have one of the stronger guys drag you out of here."

 

[Asa]

Nat raised a brow at his bravery in the face of Kya. Kya snorted and nudged her unconscious ward.

Pick her up Clint I will lead us out of here and Kya can protect the rear. We need to go.

Clint eyed Kya

"I got enough tranquilizer darts, so behave."

He picked up Catalina as gently as he could, holding her close as Nat led the way, he gave Kya a warning look to remind her to keep her eyes open for any threats behind them.

 

[Asa]

She snorted at him but Nats words of calling them both her wards had helped. Walking behind them afforded her several to maim or end and a path back outside the building till they met up with the "extraction team". The super agents stood guarding a small transport. Kya did not know them but knew the symbols on the ship as she got between Clint and the agents. Ivory knelt down when seeing them.

Kya... Fury and Maria sent us. Let us help you take Catalina to safety.

Her voice low and calm yet her eyes reveled how in awe she was of Kya. Kya looked to Clint and Nat before edging closer warily to Ivory. Then Violence chimed in. You two get Catalina on the fucking transport. You furball get your fuzzy bot on the transport NOW!!!


That got a snarl and Knockabout quickly grabbing the cat and nearly hydra soldier and shoving him at her giving her a better short lived target and her happily.getting on the transport after that.

"Children."

Was all Clint said at the provocation of Kya, who of course reacted with a furious rage. He settled Catalina down on the medical bunk and secured her, the time Kya spend tearing into the soldier, gave Nat enough time to give Catalina a more thorough examination, using the medical gear.

"She will be fine, will just take some time to heal though. They really laid into her."

Clint nodded, "She was clearly earmarked for something else and I have a feeling that the super soldier who was half-dressed was part of it."

Nat looked at him and shook her head, "You mean . . . ?"

Clint nodded and the two of them looked at Catalina, "von Strucker is sick."

Clint huffed, "Did you expect anything else from the man Cap hates so much?"

Nat shook her head and moved away, Clint took a seat next to the bunk and looked at the large cat. "You missed a spot on your chin."

 

[Asa]

Cap hates... Fury has a generations old feud with and apparently the good doc had issues with long ago as well.

Cyborg said assisting Nat with the examination before sitting down.

They have lost her and two very important facilities this day. Hopefully they will take quite some time to regroup and young Catalina can learn better to to fight multiple assailants with her powers without fear. Kya you must forgive Violence... she was hoping you would be a sparring match.

Clint shook his head, "Prodding somebody who is on edge is a very bad way to look for a sparring partner. You guys got to realize that up until now, Kya has been working on instinct and smarts to protect herself and Catalina. It's not easy to just put away that instinct after your familiar surroundings have been changed. Violence can be glad that Kya did not decide to pursue the issue."

He looked at Catalina, "And hopefully she will learn to use the team to achieve goals."

 

[Asa]

Once back to the helicarrier Nat and Psyborg hurried her to Medical withh Bruce and Kya. Kya again stopped at the door and sent to Clint. This time those orders not going over well at all as she lunged at the medical tech only to be stopped by Psyborg.

Perhaps now the training room would be a good place for that anger. Violence, you and perhaps Clint can train together Kya. She will be fine I promise you that.

Nat looked over and tried to scratch Kya behind the ears in reassurance.

Time to hang out with your other ward... have fun.

Clint and Kya eyed each other, they were both concerned about Catalina, but it wouldn't help to hang around. Clint motioned with his head and led the way to the training room.

"Okay Kya, you're a big girl, so since you are going to go hard, just know that I will too. We will get hurt in the process, which is most likely to fuel your anger further. The objective of this training will more to help you to learn how to control your anger and not just go blindly after everything."

Clint drew his clubs and dropped into a ready crouch, "Let's dance."

 

[Asa]

Kya moved beside him and crouched like he did as if a team.

Good to see. She wont fight allies. In a way this is even better we can test her thinking and speed.

Maria's voice came through the system in the room.

Will activate some of the training life model decoys. SHIELD can always build more.


With that 4 "people" walked into the room as well ready to attack.

If Robinhood misses too much though Kya

Tony's voice spoke up.

I give you permission to sick him.

"Unlike you Stark, I don't miss."

The models charged and Clint met them in hand-to-hand combat, blocking their attacks as Kya ripped into them, taking them down. It was hard work, but it took Clint's mind off of things, as the number of decoys dwindled Maria sent in more. He just hoped that Kya ran out of anger juice before they ran out of decoys.

 

[Asa]

Maria and Tony monitored Kya till Banner and Medical was done working with Catalina then Tony went to get the results. After hearing what Banner said and then what the guard they patched up a little had to say Tony was inclined with Fury to let Kya kill him

Clint was relieved when the attacks finally stopped, it had been two very long and tough days. He needed a meal and bunk time, of course, Kya looked only slightly winded. Darned super soldier serum. He slipped the two clubs back into their sheaths, "Listen, I am going to get something to eat, get a shower and some sleep. All you super types can carry on carrying on."

 

[Asa]

Kya followed him till Tony and Banner walked up. Nat "casually" closing in from behind. Tony clearly was having a hard time schooling the anger he felt and Banner kept shifting his feet and another telltale sign he was doing what he could to keep the big guy ay Bay.


She will survive but... Nat said to tell you... you were right. Luckily nothing will come of it but still... you were right. After Fury heard what the body guard said seeing her in medical too. He is of a mind to let Kya... you and Nat finish the job. We have had super agent Psyborg rip everything out of his mind that she could. He is all yours...

With that Banner typed in a special code into the training room and the top level lock engaged as the door closed. Clearly Hulk needed to vent too. Tony looked to Kya who seemed to be deep in thought.

Just don't attack the messenger and remember Catalina is the important one here. Not the prisoner.

Nat piped up.

Lets go see Lina Kya. Clint can come with us or check on her later. Tony can keep your Clint ward safe for a while.

She saw the muscles tense in Kya as the mind processed everything and human intelligence or not it was still a combat designed being.

"He's a prisoner, letting anybody do anything to him while he's under our mercy will make us be the same as them. I will have no part of that. At all."

He touched Kya's neck, "Go with Natasha, I will be fine."

He still wondered why Kya had decided on him as a proxy for Katalina, but it was done. He headed to the mess hall, got food, and sat down to eat, most of his focus on the plate in front of him.

 

[Asa]

Tony sighed and nodded.

I will go talk to Fury. Let's head to the mess hall he should be there. Normally is.

Natasha walked with Kya who tried to leap onto her wards bed. Nearly blocked by a med te h Nat just looked at him and said calmly.

I wouldn't do that if I were you. Just lock Kya in here with her she will keep a sharp eye on her. Kya sniffed and nudged and growled but Catalina was out cold Kya looked to the tech and Nat.

Medicine to help her sleep and not be in pain she is fine. Just healing. Pity she does not have her grandfather's mutations.

"You seem unnaturally quiet Hawkeye, almost like you are upset about something."

Clint looked up at Fury, "Oh it's nothing boss, just thinking that it was way too early to let the dynamic duo out on a mission."

Fury takes a seat, sipping the coffee from the cup in his hand, "It was a test, in hindsight you are absolutely correct."

Clint sighed, "And hindsight is always 20/20."

Fury nodded as the rest of the team enters the mess hall.

"Seems like they are looking for you boss."

Fury nodded again and placed his cup on the table.

 

[Asa]

So what to do with the body guard... we can't kill him. Jarvis won't accidentally let Kya get to him so what bury him in the depth of some SHIELD base for the rest of his unnatural born life?

Tony sat down. Having caught part of that.

Can't say that I agree with you. We have all had some one get the drop on us before. Not to mention we would not have been able to save the lives with did without her being there. The hindsight is not giving her a comm we could track and know what she was doing. We dropped the ball gentlemen not her or Kya. They were protecting their people. Sacrificing to do so... just like any of us would sacrifice to save those we care about and the world we are sworn to protect.

That or duct tape katniss here to her side since she seems to trust him.

Banner finally joins them and surprisingly asked for a beer.

"Oh good one tin man, at least Katniss only missed with her love life and every arrow went where it should. Unlike your blaster bolts."

He ran a hand over his face, "Although Tony does have a point. We need to get the two of them trained and I alone can't do it all. We will need help with the powers she has and I guess that it will be best to have somebody like Xavier or Strange to assist with that."

He looked at Banner, "You OK there big guy?"

 

[Asa]

Ever since I started focusing on how differently she sees the big guy and talked with one of the dual souls Ican see the division maybe od his emotions versus my own... maybe.

He shrugged and drank his beer and ate his food before continuing

Clint she trusts you. Kya trusts you but yeah someone who.could possibly withstand and understand her powers would help. Maybe one of the Superagents like Psyborg or Ivory. She also seems to trust Nat too. Strange might be able to help too.

Fury thought about it and nodded.

I can approve the superagents helping with her training. We also need to get her used to and comfortable with the rest of you as well.

Tony grinned.

I think it's long over due for a party. Let's welcome her properly with a party.

Nat was mouthing the words divided on if that would be a good idea or not.

She will be sedated for the better part of a couple of days and Kya is laying up on the bed with her luckily the med techs understand talk to her calmly and she will let them check on Catalina.

Clint wanted to talk to Bruce, but he knew that it was something that he needed to sort out personally and they were not that close, so the chances of Bruce wanting to talk to him were low. He finished his meal and got up to go to his quarters where he had a shower and changed into civilian clothes.

The party was an obvious Tony Stark idea, but who knew, may Catalina would like it, Kya might learn to relax around the group and in fact, the team might just need the break to relax a bit. He headed for one of the storage areas where he was busy working on a personal project.

A few hours later he checked in on Kya, who seemed glad to see him and the sedated Catalina, it was clear that she would be out of commission for a few days, so he decided to look after Kya in that time.

 

[Asa]

Psyborg had taken to aiding the med team with her. Almost studying Kya at times at times simply distracting her. Looking to Clint when he was let in.

I will go... they trust you. Kya's mind is truly remarkable. So human in her comprehension and yet still very feral in her trust. We suspect she merely lacks the more human vocal chords to be able to better interact.

Standing to go she turns briefly.

I do not say this lightly since he is of your team but be cautious of the one you all call Cap when it comes to her. He is... divided about her. With his ideals and belief system that could become a problem.

Kya was resting the day before they were going to wake her up. Seeing Clint the feline hopped down after Psyborg left stretching and nudging his hand. A tech walked in to check vitals.

Oh good it's you. No hyper Wanda wanting to talk about shopping and the party to my patient, no Fury bearing himself up over her grandfather and no Rodgers.

She then looked to Kya and pointed to Clint.

Will you go for a walk now?

Clint chuckled

"Seems like Kya is slipping, allowing all kinds of people in here. I think that Kya needs to get out so yes, we will go for a walk. Why? Want to come along?"

 

[Asa]

She has not left this room in 24 hours not even to eat and has left food brought to her untouched.

The tech shook her head.

No I will tend to my patient you tend to yours. How did Nat tell us to say it... Kya time for you to keep an eye on your other ward.

Kya snorted but it was Clint so she walked with him when he left.

"I know you are worried about Katalina, but you also have to look after yourself. I think what you need is a good workout and then a good meal."

He eyed the big cat, "And I don't even want to hear complaints."

They made their way to the Training Room, the technicians activated the constructs and Clint activated his bow, "Defend me, I will take out the further targets." He drew back his first arrow and fired.
