Kya lept into battle with a roar. She was frustrated her ward was sleeping a long time and not a natural sleep. After about an hour she paused sniffing at the lone LMD in the room with them. It held magic. She snarled but it did not attack as long as she did not.

She knew that there were some here with magic but it did not smell like Wanda and she was the only one she knew. Kya looked back at Clint then to the LMD who simply stood there now scratching her head.

 

[TertiusHuman]

"Maybe next time protect the ranged attacker? Got to start thinking about fighting, not just rush in and attack everything you see."

He collapsed his bow and started to collect his arrows, "From the way that LMD is acting, it is under some sort of magical control, it should be on the ground after the arrow it took to the head."

 

[Asa]

Strange's voice came through the intercom.

Yes... I am most fascinated by your feline friend Barton. Could you aid in introductions perhaps? We will be waking her ward soon and want to make sure my presence is accepted before hand.

 

[TertiusHuman]

"Well if it isn't Mister Doctor."

Kya looked curiously at Clint and he grinned, "The first time this wizard . . . "

"Sorcerer."

Clint looked at the control booth, "Listen Gandalf, I don't interrupt you when you tell your stories OK?"

He looked at Kya again, "First time this sorcerer had to defend a sanctum, the leader of the bad guys called him "mister" but being a bit of a douche, he always insists on being called doctor, so he corrected the man, who in turn understood that his surname is Doctor. For a brief moment in time, he was known as Mister Doctor."

Kya looked at him and blinked before giving a chuff-like sound. Clint grinned, "Yeah, I also found it funny. So he is a friend of the group, he helps out when we face magical problems that even Scarlet can't figure out. He is the best option to help Katalina to control her powers. Do you think you can manage to not eat him?"

 

[Asa]

Strange walked through a portal into the training room to let Kya get his scent. Kya seemed to just as quickly place herself between this new being and Clint as if protecting Clint.

Fascinating...

Strange spoke calmly. They were not joking about the feline deciding to perhaps imprint to you as a backup to her ward Lorelei. Her mind is also clearly mapping out any possibility and how to react. Yet still taking ques from your lack of fear or distrust of me.

He held out a hand to Kya who looked to Clint before sniffing his hand and cautiously nudging his hand.

It has been suggested that the two of you Nat and myself be in the room when she is awakened with Banner nearby in case her powers are full active when she wakes. I do believe they will be waking her in a few moments. We should return to the medical bay.

Clint ran a hand over Kya's back, lightly scratching the sensitive spot above her tail

"See? All the decisions are made and the normal grunts just have to follow along. You will have to get used to that Kya."

He gave Strange a smile, "Good to see you Strange, I thought that you will be the better idea to be around with magics, you are the Sorcerer Supreme after all. But about this awakening part, can Kya and myself get something to eat first? I promise not to take too long."

 

[Asa]

Of course I will go inform them. I believe Nat has wandered that way as well after being how was it put... saddled with making sure that rat was well enough to ship out of here.

He nodded to both then turned and walked out letting the LMD drop into the pile with the others.

 

[TertiusHuman]

Clint led the way to the cafeteria, where he got a lot of ground hamburger for Kya and a light snack for himself, he placed the tray down for her and sat down on the ground, leaning his back against a bench.

"Things were much better back in the forest, less complicated, yes?"

 

[Asa]

Kya just snorts before eating the food. Nat and Psyborg move to sit down with them. Psyborg studying Kya for a moment.

Old human and his humans was less of an issue
Less noise
But Lina alone
Now Lina has you and other humans who don't hunt her.

Nat raised a brow as Psyborg seemed to simply rattle off Kyas thoughts as Kya just nodded and continued eating

Clint chuckled and shook his head

"Yeah I get you Kya, there was a time I had an uncomplicated life. It changed and I came back to this life. It is not a bad life, you have proper friends, people that care about you and who you can care for. But it is not an easy, nor simple life."

 

[Asa]

Kya finished her food and looked to the door. She wanted to go to Catalina she wanted all her wards all together. Psyborg studied her for a moment.

She will be fine Kya. Dr Banner and Dr Strange and the tech that kept sneaking you steaks yesterday have all taken very good care of her. Speaking of that why don't we start walking down that way once you all are finished eating.

Clint got to his feet and picked up the tray, dropping it off before heading towards the door with the others. He watched Kya as she loped ahead, but kept close enough to them to still keep an eye on him.

"You know Nat, I think I might get myself a cat and get Banner to inject it with some serum. Hopefully it will be just smart enough to not be vengeful."

 

[Asa]

Catalina and the Island are all that cat has known. Catalina had her grandfather to explain the world beyond the island. We just abruptly threw Kya into a world larger than maybe she knows how to deal with. Can't be easy on her human like intelligence or not. But yeah you with a cat. Knowing your luck it will believe it should tell you what to do too.

Nat smirked as they walked sighing as Kya bowled over the tech that opened the medbay door for her.

Strange and Banner stood over Catalina as Psyborg took up a post in the corner ready to aid with her own shielding as needed.

Clint

Banner spoke first.

Maybe stand over here hoping her seeing you first might keep everything calm. Kya by you.

Kya ignored them all nudging Catalinas hand.

"What I find really interesting, is that the one who is a retired surgeon is taking the lead from a non-medical doctor."

Clint mumbled but did as he asked. He stood in clear view and looked at Kya

"Kya, be a dear and come stand here as well please."

Kya looked between him and Cat and finally moved over to stand with him, he gave Strange a stare, "Her favorite reaction is to remove air, you might want to be ready for something like that."

 

[Asa]

Part of why this non medical Dr is taking the lead Clint.

Banner smirked as he administered the medication into the IV slowly to wake her.

We have two people who are prepped to use other means if your cheerful face isn't enough to calm her.

Kya almost seemed to snicker at his comment to Clint until she sensed movement in her ward and tried to move where Catalinas hand was on her head so the familiar fur would hopefully calm her.

 

[TertiusHuman]

"My cheerful face is known to scare children and hardened criminals."

Clint shot back, he looked at Kya and focused on Catalina, her breathing had altered, "Well seems like your potion is working Banner."

 

[Asa]

Nat chuckled.

Didn't seem to scare Stubborn.

Banner nodded watching her carefully. Catalina's hands seemed to tense gripping then opening as if realizing Kya was there. Whimper falling from her as if in a nightmare. Her body shifting quickly as Psyborg and Strange seemed to go on alert.

Easy Catalina... let's not rip fur out of Kya

Banner tried speaking softly to her.

You are on the helicarrier with Clint and Nat and everyone. It's okay.

Her eyes flew open hands starting to raise till she saw Clint and seemed to freeze. Only moving again when she felt Kya lick her hand.

Clint? Kya... the old man... the angry soldier... pain...

 

[TertiusHuman]

Clint moved closer

"Easy Lina, easy. We're here. The villagers are safe for now and the angry soldier . . . he's being detained."

 

[Asa]

She slowly looked around a hand reaching to Clint when she saw someone she didn't know.

Hello Catalina I am Dr Stephen Strange I help SHIELD and the Avengers when needed. You have been through quite alot but I can report that you should really not suffer any ill effects from any of it.

He smiled to Catalina Clint and Kya and turned to go.

I leave you to your friends and safety people.

"And he doesn't mean that he helps us with medical issues, Doctor Strange is the sorcerer supreme of Earth realm, I think that he will be able to help you to understand and control your powers better. It was either him or sending you to school with Doctor Xavier. I think Strange is a better call though."

Clint realized that he was rambling and shrugged, "In my opinion that is."

 

[Asa]

Strange paused looking into nothing for a moment.

I can honestly say I do not believe her leaving here will ever happen. Catalina and Kya are... home. I will be more than happy to help her as well as others who might help her.

A knowing smile looking around the room and observation window and then up to Hulk before leaving via a portal.

 

[TertiusHuman]

"That is up to them to decide."

Clint said to the departing sorcerer, "Gandalf."

He grinned and then looked at Catalina, "Okay, so you mentioned pain. Are you hurting now? Should the big guy perhaps give you some pain medication?"

 

[Asa]

She nodded to Strange and a brow raised at the portal but looking back to Clint she shook her head no.

The angry soldier caused pain. But it is gone now.

She looked around and up to Hulk.

I am okay... I promise. I am here with all of you how could I not be okay?

It still tripped Banner out that she could talk to Hulk and after he comment this time he felt a strange tinge of "happiness" even for a brief moment and took off to research.

 

[TertiusHuman]

Clint nodded at her response that she was not in pain, he moved closer to the bed, giving Kya a quick scratch behind the head and pressed the adjustment button on the bed to bring Catalina to a reclining position. Then he stepped back, leaning against the wall.

"So you are awake, that means Kya can relax a bit and get out more. Smells like a cat box in here."

Kya gave him a flat glare and he grinned at her

 

[Asa]

She looked to Kya.

Did you not watch over them as well? The others here who help us?

Kya snorted and nodded then moved over to Clint and headbutted him back over near Catalina. Psyborg bit her lip to stifle a chuckle.

Yes Lina see he is still alive see...

Catalina looked to Psyborg. You know her mind too?

She nodded and Kya snorted. Tony spoke through the comm.

Ready for some real food and relaxation Catalina. We are throwing a party to welcome you... my treat.

Banner shook his head.

Tony give her a couple days we literally just brought her out of a medically induced sleep. Forgive him... billionaire playboy looks for any reason to throw parties. I am sure Nat and Wanda can hp you better with that.
